Our "Little House" is in the heart of Hector, with a gorgeous view of Seneca Lake. Your stay is directly next to a winery and right across 414 is one of the best breweries in the Finger Lakes, walk to either with care! Enjoy a camp fire out back of this cute little home. It is only about 5 minutes from Hector National Forest, 15 minutes to Watkins Glen Gorge, as well as 15 minutes to Taughannock Falls which all have a lot of great hiking trails for our fellow out door enthusiasts.

Glamping Safari Tent: Waterfall Gorge & Wine Trail

We cannot say enough positive things about staying here! First, this location is AMAZING. It is so private, but you are at great wineries and breweries within a minute. We enjoyed making a fire each night and looking at the stars because the space was cleared out and gave a great view of the sky. Then, we could make our way into the tent where we could feel close to nature...it was so quiet and peaceful! We hiked down to the plunge pools and took a cold plunge, and we were able to be at so many great locations within a short drive. If you're used to camping and being in the outdoors, this is such a great way to experience the Finger Lakes region!

Wow - what a fantastic lakeside retreat! There must be 6 different places to sit/gather outside - the fire table was especially nice for sipping some Riesling on a chilly night. Well equipped kitchen, and lots of amenities (including kayaks if so inclined). Very quiet surroundings (we were there during the week-end, too), but you have to watch out for the seagulls - they like to hang out on the deck. Great location is within 1/2 hour of many excellent wineries and restaurants. Would definitely return here the next time we are in FLX!

The house is in a perfect location, very picturesque, and easily accessible to all the local wineries and attractions. The house was also very very clean and had all the amenities you would possibly need on vacation. Kate was an exceptional host and was very helpful with identifying local eating establishments, making our trip less stressful. I will definitely stay again for future Finger Lake excursions.

Whistlin’ Hill Farmhouse

We’d loved our stay at Dylan’s Whistlin’ Hill Farmhouse. The house was immaculately clean with great amenities like a well stocked kitchen, a fire pit, a grill, and loads of clean towels and bedding/pillows. There was also a beautiful walking path on the property that had great sunset views - be sure to check that out! The location was PERFECT - we were close to a ton of great vineyards and were ~30-40 minutes away (max) from all the other towns we wanted to visit (Corning, Ithaca, Seneca Falls). We also really liked the establishments in Hector like Stonecat, Toni’s Diner, Damiani and Hector Wine C - just be mindful of the somewhat limited hours of local places. Dylan was a kind and responsive host. We’d definitely stay again if we were in the area. A note to those with mobility issues: the staircase to the bedrooms was very steep. Not a problem for our group but could be for others.
