Places to stay in White Sulphur Springs
Embrace the vintage charm of this mid-century home surrounded by nature. The Jameson cottage is a cozy spot with updated amenities, rustic wood finishes throughout, and a Scottish Scandinavian-inspired interior aesthetic.
The Jameson Cottage is a quaint two bedroom cottage, with an open concept main living area and one full sized bathroom. Originally built in 1952 the Cottage has been masterfully restored to its heyday. There is a definite mid century modern feeling while remaining true to its Catskills heritage. In the large master bedroom you’ll find a queen sized bed complete with crisp white linens, plush comforters, warm blankets and fluffy pillows. The Master bedroom takes queues from the history of White Sulphur Springs which in its heyday was a quaint farming village. The bright whites, deep greens and clean lines lend to a modern farmhouse feel. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed as well, although the room is a bit cozier. Fresh washed linens and a diamond knit comforter adorn the bed, along with comfy flannel pillows for a more relaxed feel. The kitchen is compact but multifunctional. The masterfully crafted cabinets, made in the Hudson Valley but inspired by renowned English Cabinet makers, store all you’ll need for cooking and baking during your stay. Painted in an inky blue to mimic the majestic Catskill Mountain range. The open shelves are stocked with all the plates, bowls, and drinking glasses you’ll need. Different shades of blues & greens were used throughout the kitchen and living area to mimic the different shades you see while looking at the mountains from a distance. The living room sports a small mid century sofa that is very comfortable, sit down and enjoy a movie or take in a good book. In the warmer months you can also enjoy the backyard, you'll find an abundance of fauna & flora...Take a walk around the grounds and enjoy the beautiful bounty...you’ll find grapes, raspberries, pears, apples, and even peaches growing right in our own backyard.
The home is about 15 minutes away from lots of great spots, such as the Bethel Woods Art Center, where the original Woodstock was held. Discover world class fishing, hiking, restaurants, and other outdoor recreations nearby.
  • The Jameson Cottage is an oasis of calm and coziness from the outside world, with everything one needs for a delightful long weekend. This was our second stay and it surely won't be our last. Can't wait until our next visit!

  • This cottage was the best AirBnb experience I've had, out of many good ones. The space was stylish and spotless and very tasteful. We loved the ambience and relaxing in an elegant and tastefully decorated space. The amenities were outstanding, everything was very comfortable, and we had such a nice getaway here. The location was great and near some good hiking. I would absolutely recommend this space.

  • My fiancé and I checked into Jameson Cottage on Thanksgiving Day and we stayed for the weekend. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Michael had a welcome book with information on the cottage plus lot of information on the restaurants and sights in the surrounding area. The cottage is uniquely and beautifully designed, however it’s not just pretty to look at, it is also very comfortable and functional. Our bed was so amazingly comfy that I want to get details on maker of the mattress and pillows. The heating and hot water worked perfectly which was very important to us as it was approximately 30 degrees out our entire stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities for cooking and serving. One more note the house is immaculately clean and Michael has really interesting books in the kitchen and bedrooms. I would highly recommend the cottage and will definitely stay again. Maybe during the summer.

  • We had a great time at the cottage. The space is very warm during the winter with central heat and everything is very cozy and clean. We had a great time being near Livingston Manor and enjoyed coming home to a quiet space. My favorite was looking out at the backyard through the kitchen. Great hosts, quick in response for anything we needed

    Paula2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Michael’s house! The cottage is beautifully set up and comfortable, with all of the extras - coffee, butter/oil/cooking essentials, shampoo, hair dryer, curler, etc. It is in a convenient location right near Livingston Manor. I would love to come back! Especially during the summer!

  • Absolutely phenomenal space! Cannot say enough great things about this little secret getaway. Our first day here we saw so much wildlife (bald eagles primarily), and stargazing from the main floor was priceless. • Had a really wonderful time and really appreciated the decor and very personal touches in the house. Our immediate reaction was to plan our next trip !! Run, don't walk to book as the house is really popular. The house is beautiful, very well maintained and right on the lake - this is the ideal location for a winter or summer trip with a variety of food and activities in the near surroundings.

    Rahul2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage on the lake is definitely peaceful, relaxing, and cozy. The space was perfect for doing yoga, reading, and cooking. Although I can imagine there are many benefits to staying in the summer; it is a lovely little spot for the winter. It was very clean and the host left thoughtful touches which made the space feel welcoming. The cottage is close to little towns such as Callicoon, Narrowsburg, and Livingston Manor.

  • Alan is an amazing host that went above and beyond to service us. From the moment you walk through the door you know you’re walking into something special as evident by the care and cleanliness put into the house. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape from reality.

    Aidan2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • My time at Alan’s was just what I was looking for—a very quiet opportunity to hike some trails and explore nature in peace. Alan’s place is quiet and clean and quite large. The proximity to the lake is great too. Alan was a great host!

    Brendan2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, perfect for a weekend getaway. Friendly neighborhood and Alan’s house has all the right amenities in case you forget something at home! The area was beautiful and the house was clean. There were some nice board games and magazines out for us, and it was a wondering way to get away from the bustling city. On top of that, the host was responsive and very helpful in making the experience comfortable and easy for us.

    Raffi2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I just spent the weekend at Alan’s place , the 6 of us plus 2 small dogs were very cozy, in this super clean and stylish house. The house was perfect for our little getaway which was conveniently located close to restaurants and about 15 min away from kartrite indoor Waterpark and resorts world casino. The house Exceeded our expectations with its cleanliness, stocked with goodies , and all the necessities we literally wouldn’t of have to bring much. The house even included a bunch of fun toys and activities for our 2 year old daughter. Super safe environment for those also with small children. We are definitely looking forward to another visit very soon during the warmer months to also enjoy the lake, and more outdoor activities. Thanks again to Alan for opening up his home to us. Sincerely , Jason and family.

    Jason2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is a part of a small community located adjacent to a private lake (~200 feet away). Alan was incredibly responsive and thoughtful even when I was only preparing for our trip upstate. When we got there in the evening, he had already warmed up the place and turned on the lights to prepare for our late arrival. The place was stylish, clean yet warm and cozy. I have three kids with me, and they instantly changed into their PJs, except when they wanted to play on the frozen lake. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The washer and drier were there, as well as a key to a boat, and life preservers. I can't wait to visit again in the summer. It's located 7 min from Adventure land, 40 min from Kartrite indoor swimming park, Holiday ski resort, and all sorts of trails and rivers for fishing. AMC movie theatre was also nearby, when the kids felt too tired to play outside. All in all, the house and its host made it a memorable weekend for the entire family and my daughter's friend. Definitely going back!

    Je2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A very cozy and well furnished place to escape the noise and chaos of the city. I had a really great time and that king size bed was super comfy.

  • Such a cute cottage! My wife and I loved our quick trip away from NYC. Alan’s cottage was quiet, cozy, and perfect for us. Our dog loved the snow. Alan has a book of local restaurants and places to go. It was a much needed and very enjoyable trip for us.

This charming, private guest house used to be the Rolling River Café, converted into a cozy space with a pellet stove, a queen bed upstairs and a futon downstairs. Perfect for 1 to 4 guests, such as 2 couples, 3 friends, or a family of 3 or 4. It is private - no sharing with any other guests. It has an open floor plan on both floors.
Our comfortable guest house is a real treat! Both upstairs and down have an open floor plan. There are no bedroom doors. We have thick, opaque surround curtains around the queen bed upstairs that block all view. Located in the beautiful Catskills along a year-round river, 1 1/2 hours drive from New York City. Come and stay in a lovely historic house by the river and enjoy the nature and amenities. It is fully equipped for a nice vacation with lots to do in the area. Whether you are 1 guest or more you get the whole house to yourself - you won't share with unknown guests. This space was the Rolling River Café for 10 years. We are moving our kitchen to the Upward Brewing Company in Livingston Manor, so we converted the restaurant into a guest house, with a cool commercial kitchen, funky and fun! We have a queen bed upstairs and a futon downstairs, accommodating up to 4 guests comfortably, with a half bath downstairs, & bath with shower upstairs. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, a movie screen on both floors to watch a lot of DVDs which are supplied, and wifi (no cable TV). A nice pellet stove in the living room keeps the place warm in winter. In the mornings, enjoy a continental breakfast supplied for you with coffees, teas, cereals, milk & juices. In the summer outside we have a charcoal grill and picnic table for a riverside barbecue. We have air conditioning. Check-in time is 3:00 pm. If you want to check in before then, please just let us know. Check out time is 11:00 am. If requested, later may be possible. There are many activities for a perfect vacation. We have a nice 1.5 mile walk on a Rail Trail in Parksville, a live music venue just 2 city blocks away on Main Street called Cabernet Frank's. In a 5 minute drive on Route 17 west is Livingston Manor, with the Catskill Brewery and great shopping, and the Catskills Art Society - a renowned art gallery. We are 20 minutes from Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center. We are 10 minutes from Monticello Casino and Raceway and 15 minutes from Resorts World Casino. We are close to the Willowemoc River for the best trout fishing ever. Close by is an educational New York State trout hatchery, Hunter Lake for motorboating, for camping and swimming Mongaup Pond State Park and Neversink Reservoir for rowboating and fishing. Other things to do in the area are horseback riding at Bridle Hill Farm or Sonoma Falls where there is also a cider mill & country store, hiking, camping, antiquing, yoga classes at Just Breathe Yoga, visiting art galleries such as Catskill Art Society and Liberty Art Museum. In wintertime cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Holiday Mountain is a small family mountain 15 minutes away. Belleayre and Plattekill are 1 hour away for nice downhill skiing. These other places you shouldn't miss: wineries BashaKill and Eminence Road Farm, shops in Livingston Manor: Morgan Outdoors, Willow & Brown, Main Street Farm, Brandenburg Bakery, Catskill Brewery and The Delightful Place. In Roscoe take a tour through the Prohibition Distillery. Enjoy the lovely rural surroundings. We are your hosts, so please ask us anything and we will be pleased to make you comfortable during your stay.
Our neighborhood is the little hamlet of Parksville. This hamlet was thriving when the O & W Railroad ran through it, but had an economic downturn since then. But there is now a music venue called Cabernet Frank's, and there will soon be a coffee roaster and an antiques auction house on Main Street. It looks a little like a ghost town, but is very walkable and fun to see the historical corner pharmacy where Steven King filmed a scene for his HBO movie "Bag of Bones," and there is a serene 1.5 mile Rail Trail along the river. Not a long drive west from Parksville is lovely Livingston Manor with interesting shops, a bakery, a brewery, a local grocery store, and a beautiful school on the river that runs through. And 5 miles distance are all amenities like grocery, hardware, bank, liquor store, tailor, pet supplies, etc.
  • Kim's place is very cute and perfect for a weekend getaway from the city, you will love it!

    Bryce2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Need a getaway from NYC? Want a place with lots of charm? Yet cozy? Commercial kitchen? This is it! My husband and I spent our weekend here. We made food, a loaf of bread, walked around the nearby town, watch a couple of movies and generally just chilled out. Us city people got creeped out by sounds that the house made in the first night, but cheers! Would come back for warmer weather!

    Sunny2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was magical- exactly as described, immaculately clean with a pellet stove that was perfect for a 16 degree night and a big, soft warm bed. Kim was responsive to all my questions (I had no idea how the pellet stove worked) and there was plenty of privacy. The kitchen looked amazing too (former cafe and restaurant), but I was only there for a night and didn't get a chance to try it. The town is pretty enigmatic too- several abandoned businesses and houses when you first get into town.

    Maggie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s place is extremely unique and cozy. The pellet stove kept us warm on the cold February nights. The restaurant style kitchen was very fun to cook meals in. The upstairs queen size bed was also very comfortable and the shower was hot and had good pressure. Overall we had a wonderful stay :)

    Alex2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • I think this place make a great for a couple. We loved the sounds of the river and the quite ! Ofcourse also the amazing kitchen amenities ! It’s got its own charm we loved it and Kim was great! Cabernet franks was awesome! Great food. Thank you so much for everything

    Jaclyn Hara2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome little love shack for me and my boyfriend. We loved the house and Kim was very fast to respond to our needs. Will definitely stay again!

    Natalia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy eclectic and warm. Perfectly relaxing. Peaceful. Loved the sound of the river.

    Diane2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great house to stay in with lots of fantastic little touches here in there to make it extra special. The kitchen is fantastic; the atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and productive. Be sure to take advantage of being able to play music in the whole house, the Parksville Rail Trail nearby, and the breweries up in Livingston Manor (about a 10 minute drive).

  • Such an incredible and memorable stay at Michelle and her parents' property. They really do everything possible to out-do themselves in showing their hospitality to their guests. Everything was as described and the communication was constant. Their property is so unique in many ways, I would definitely recommend to anyone willing to try this type of getaway. We would love to come back, and see us doing so, in the years to come!

  • Our little family had a great experience and time at Hemlock Falls. Communication with Michelle was effortless, both Kim and Rob were so warm and welcoming. Both my husband and I commend all of the hard work that has been invested into Hemlock Falls. It’s truly a hidden gem. As an hotelier, I truly can appreciated your vision and all of the small details that has been invested to the property. I wish you much success, we look forward to return and spread the word.

  • The whole property and campsites are very beautiful, especially the river and Hemlock Falls. Michelle and her parents checked-in with us multiple times before and during our stay to help with bags, give an introduction to the space, provide firewood, and give a small tour with paper guide of the property. The tent bed is very comfortable and luxurious with a mosquito net. Highly recommended!

  • The house is amazing, private, and peaceful. Bit far from stores/restaurants, but I chose this place to be somewhat secluded from the world. 0 issues. Enjoyed staying here very much.

  • One of the best Airbnb properties we've ever stayed! The Western Sullivan Properties place is plain, decorated with small touches and full of sunlight. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit under the stars and massive full moon. Chris, our host was great on communication and nice to let us check out late. We are counting the days to go back! Thank you!

    Aj2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Spent the weekend here with my family and we had a wonderful time. The property is spacious, clean, and stylish. The wood stove was an added bonus! This was our third stay in the area and this house was by far our favorite yet. Location is amazing. Easy walk to the Arnold house or a 5 minute drive into Livingston Manor. Chris was a great host and excellent at communicating everything regarding our stay. Highly recommend this house !

    Valbona2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We felt welcome before we even arrived - great communication from Chris. The home is in a lovely location adjacent to hiking trails. It's a quick drive to the center of Livingston Manor, Roscoe and more. Clean bright home to enjoy nature around you. Great wood burning stove to keep you cozy in the winter. Kitchen with the basics you need made it easy for us to cook a number of meals. Wifi worked very well. Pet friendly too. Great stay!

    Shara2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, extremely well kept, with a wonderful and convenient location. It's a quick walk to the Arnold House and a short drive into town. Chris is an excellent host with quick responses and helpful information to share. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Harris2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had an outstanding time this past weekend. Chris was such a great host and went above and beyond to welcome my family. We had a baby traveling with us so Chris let us check in a little early Friday afternoon, which helped out more than anyone could imagine. When we arrived, there was a bag of fresh cookies from the local bakery as well as fresh coffee beans which we enjoyed. Overall, every aspect of this house was incredible. The only downfall was the rain on Saturday but we couldn’t be more happier with the house and the first class treatment. Jeremy

    Jeremy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great home for our getaway weekend in the Catskills! It was super stylish, had a great kitchen and seating, lots of comfortable lounge space for us to relax, and super comfortable beds! There were also huge windows all throughout the house so you felt like you were in the middle of nature, which was really nice and peaceful. and if you're not in the mood to cook, it's a 5 minute walk from the Arnold House which was a nice change up for dinner one of our nights. Chris was also very responsive, messaged to check in on us on our way up given an incoming snow storm, and even got the house ready for us early. Highly recommend this spot!

    Sid2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I wrote another review on his other property but I truly can’t recommend these properties enough!

    Ursula2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing house, perfect for any occasion! The views are incredible and the location couldn’t be any more ideal if looking to take advantage of the area. Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone.

Get out of the city to the beautiful countryside. The room is small though big enough to move around with a full size bed, closet, and a private half bathroom, (toilet and large sink, hot and cold water) with towels and washcloth. Private keyed entrance. Air conditioned and heated. 150 feet of Lakefront. “Resorts” Casino just a few miles away. The house is very private on the lake, yet two minutes from the quaint town of Jeffersonville, 15 minutes from the cities of Liberty and Monticello.
The “space” is classic Catskills!, green forests, places to hike or have a healthy walk in nature. My deep water residential well is tested and free of pollutants, Eagles, beavers, deer and all NY bird species, frogs croaking on the lake in the distance on summer nights, fireflies. In the winter it is a wonderland, a white sheet with trees cradling humps of snow, the lake dotted with ice fishermen, yet inside warm and cozy with all the modern conveniences. An automatic Generac house generator with a 100 gallon propane source to guarantee comfort in case of any rare power outages! When arriving please DO NOT GO ALL THE WAY UP THE DRIVEWAY as my neighbor is very concerned about people turning around in HIS parking area. I am the second house in the driveway. Not the third house, not to the end of the driveway, but the second house in. Park to the left at the "Airbnb Parking HERE" sign, leaving room for my neighbor to get by. There is no TV but there is WiFi! The Remote Control you see in the picture is for the Air Conditioner. There are at least three places to sit, just relax or maybe have something to eat, outside your room. Thank you. No smoking in the room please.
The neighborhood is very quiet, time stands still here by the lake. The neighbors live into their 90s and mind their own business. The water well has been repeatedly tested by Orange County Lab to be pure and clean, and can be drunk right out of the faucet! Crisp and clean, the minerals ALL with excellent values.
  • Very nice and cozy place, with thoughtful host.

  • Cozy spot on the water. Nice views from the room. John is a friendly and accommodating host, he has a sweet cat too that likes to hang out on the porch and would greet us whenever we would come back to the room.

  • John’s place was perfect for my quick, last minute hiking trip. It was clean, comfy, and had a great view. John was so friendly and a great host. He even had coffee for me in the morning! I will definitely stay here again for my next trip upstate.

    Brianna2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, close to Bethel Woods. Space is small and doesn’t have a shower but it was perfect for our needs. John was quick to respond and greeted us as soon as we arrived to show us the room and get us settled in. He also made some coffee for the morning. The property is very quiet right on a small lake and comes with the cutest friendliest kitty!

    Laura2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Guests will be greeted to a warm welcome after arriving at a picturesque space overlooking the lake. The room is efficient and airy, with a private entrance. John will provide you with tips for activities and places to visit, and offer use of the grill or taking his boat out on the water next to the dock. There is a comfortable little space under the tree with lawn chairs and a table that are perfect for enjoying the cup of coffee or tea you will be offered in the morning.

  • This is our second time staying at one of Western Sullivan Properties ‘s homes. He is such a helpful and accommodating host. The house was spotless, offered all the amenities you could need plus some extras, and is close to town. Thanks again!

  • Beautiful place in a great location. Clean, light, sunny, cozy, charming. We had a great time. Highly recommend

    Magda2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We met up with friends. There were 4 adults, 4 kids, and 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for everyone and we spent most of our time in the kitchen/dining/living area, cooking, eating, doing puzzles, playing games, and sitting by the fire talking. The kids enjoyed the pool table and the record player. We all enjoyed walking on the trails in the back with the dogs, and the kids had fun with the icy stream. Beautiful sunrise and the lovely wide view from the living/dining room was soothing. Checkin was easy, and everything was ready for us to settle right in.

    Heather2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We travelled upstate for the long weekend and to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. There was a group of 5 of us staying in the property. We had such a wonderful time. The house is perfectly located close to town and the yard space with the fire was so nice to have going when it was so chilly out. The house amenities are great and there are lots of thoughtful touches. Can’t recommenced enough.

    Nicole2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house at the great location with panoramic view. I really liked very good mix of modern and classic details for the interior design and super clean bathrooms. Close enough to the town of Livingston Manor and Roscoe to get what you need.

    Yuichi2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house is just great. We went there during a snow storm but everything turned out great. The woods right in the backyard are perfect for a quick hike and the kids loved the space and the pool downstairs. Chris was a great host - very friendly and responsive. Will definitely stay there again.

    Ricardo2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • My company had a retreat at The Arnold House, which was unable to host us all. Five of us total stayed in the two adjacent properties and they couldn’t have been more perfect. Chris was so accommodating and the spaces are wonderful. I can not recommend him enough based on his hospitality and the beauty of these homes.

    Ursula2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very recommend! We were 6 adults, one baby, along with our pup and cat which was super nice of chris to let us bring them both along with. The house is beautiful, clean and perfect for the cold winter. Our dog loved the backyard which is huge (but not fenced if that’s a must for anyone also since the house is not too far from the road) but if your dog is well trained and doesn’t go astray it’s absolutely perfect! We love cooking and had all our meals in the house which was a little bit of a challenge because the kitchen is not yet fully stocked with cooking essentials but we managed to cook some amazing meals, (there are amazing two old school ovens that helped). The location is great if you want to ski or go for a relaxing day at a spa (there’s one basically right next door) or just enjoy a cozy winter day indoors. Chris was extremely fast to respond to any questions and very flexible with our check in and out times. there was a lot of information waiting for us at the home when we first got there, along with a complimentary bottle of wine and a bag of chocolate chip cookies. So basically this place is great and we had a wonderful time and will definitely try to stay here again. Enjoy!!!

Enjoy the Catskill mountains at this lovely and quaint farmstay in Youngsville, New York. We are close to plenty of attractions, such as the casino, water park, and Bethel Woods (25 mins away) plus countless outdoor attractions. Our place is also pefect for a quiet escape into the peaceful and serene upstate New York landscape. You will have your own quiet and private space on shared property, where the hosts will give you all the space you need! We can't wait to host you!
It is an apartment styled space above an old barn complete with two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, kitchen, and beautiful deck. We have tons of outdoor space to explore (a hill to hike, a pond to relax next to, and endless forest). We are also close to many lower Catskill adventure spots! Please note the air conditioning is out. We are working on fixing it, however, the space can get quite warm. We provided fans to create a comfortable cross breeze!
Its a very private street with a few neighbors here and there. You will pass a lot of farms and forests on your way over!
  • We loved staying in Kimberly’s adorable, cozy and rustic place! The land was absolutely beautiful! We would definitely love to come back here again the next time we go to a show a Bethel Woods! Plus their dog is such a sweetie!!

    Sarah2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place.

    Damon2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberly’s place is perfect for getting away to the country for exploring Sullivan County. The accommodations are great and the surrounding grounds are fun to explore. We went for the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock and Kimberly’s place is close but just far enough away from the madness. I do recommend having GPS because Kimberly’s place can be a little difficult to find however, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Plus you’ll have a friend for life with Koi the dog.

    Andy2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberly's place was idea for my family, looking to break up a long trip home and reconnect with the Czech community in Livingston Manor. We would definitely stay again!

    Roger2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience with Airbnb and we absolutely loved our time. The property is so peaceful and private. This is the greatest place for an introvert. I highly recommend packing a picnic and following the trail up the path. It’s a very steep hike but if you take your time it’s definitely worth it. absolutely beautiful with a spectacular view at sunset. We loved their dog Koi. She’s gorgeous and a sweetheart. We got to have a little bit of dog therapy while we were there. How cool is that. If you need to recharge… This is a beautiful place to do it. So quiet. So peaceful. Simple. You can bring your own meals from home. That’s what we did and we were able to have a beautiful getaway that did not cost us very much at all. Only 15 minutes away from Bethel NY.

  • Very nice house with plenty of space. Master bedroom was huge. Hot tub was clean and hot when we got there. I wish we could have had some dry firewood we looked around for some but difficult to purchase. They had some logs near the pit but seemed heavy rains left them and the grounds soaked. All in all good private getaway and they told us we can check out late very good communications with owners. WiFi was good an cable tv. Beds were comfortable.

  • We had a great trip staying at Scott & Lances’s. The house is private and well located with a large back yard with hot tub and fire pit. They left enough wood for one fire. Inside was spacious. Close to several nice trails. Ya

    Kipp2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I took my family for a small trip to get out of the routine and definitely had a great time at Scott and Lance’s place (my kids enjoyed the hot tube and the wood fire under a sky full of stars). It was our first time trying the Airbnb App and this guys made sure we had a awesome time. We will be back for sure!

    Victor2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the house. It’s decorated thoughtfully and the beds are super comfortable.

    Richard2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Place was exactly as described. Location was perfect for a weekend getaway into the mountains. Property was beautiful and hiuse was very comfortable and stylish. Beds were all very comfortable and clean. Hot tub was perfect for relaxing in at night. They even left us stuff to make s’mores although we never started up the Firepit it was a nice thought. Check in was easy and since it snowed a lot the night before we were supposed to leave they gave us late checkout. Thanks again for everything!

    Tricia2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Scott and Lance’s, the place is tastefully done and is perfect to enjoy the snowfall siting inside! They are very communicative and we had no issues with our stay. A must stay for sure for a peaceful getaway

    Juhi2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Scott & Lance's place is comfortable and lovely. We found the dining/room and kitchen to be fun to gather in as the snow fell. The house is spacious and the beds are super comfortable. Each room has it's own personality. At the end of the night, we loved watching movies in the lower level after a soak in the hot tub. Scott & Lance were responsive when we needed them and otherwise let us enjoy the place as if it were our own. They were great hosts and I would recommend others to stay at their beautiful property.

    Spencer2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This house is comfortable, stylish, homey, and very spacious. There are so many cool details and fun accents (the hosts have great taste!). Loved having the large yard, especially for early morning and late afternoon walks with the dog. Also appreciated the hot tub, especially in the cold. The weather didn't allow us to use the fire pit or many of the lovely seating areas around the yard, but I bet they are great when it's not raining! And it was really helpful to have two TV comfortable TV areas, especially with two teenagers in tow. All in all we had a fun stay and it was a great experience. Thanks!

Welcome to Maison Fougere! Come visit our lakefront cottage in the Catskills! 90 minutes from Manhattan! Our waterfront home is located on a private, non-motorized boat lake, ensuring crystal clear waters for swimming in the summer and an icy reflection with gorgeous snow covered grounds in the winter. And fall in the Catskills is of course breathtaking!
Outside: 100 feet of private lakefront. Walk down the stairs from either deck to enjoy your own private paradise of crystal clear water. Visit with the geese, enjoy a glass of wine, partake in some catch and release fishing, paddle boat away (provided) and enjoy the Catskills! The decks: Escape the city and spend the warm weather outdoors, even if it’s raining! 1800 feet of finished decks outside- 3 in total: one for propane grilling with potted herbs for you to pick to compliment your recipe, one covered deck for relaxing, dining, watching movies on the projector under the stars, and one covered/screened in deck for evening wine and listening to the bullfrogs and crickets. It’s okay if you fall asleep outside, we understand. In the winter, sit by the fireplace and stare out at the snow globe that this treehouse becomes. Heat lamps provided for the upper deck. Inside: Antiques galore mixed with modern furnishings. If we had to classify, our style is a contradiction of streamlined boho. Think Design Within Reach meets Anthropologie meets your favorite vintage market. The kitchen is pristine, designed with all Viking and Bosch appliances. The cabinets are stocked with every Penzey’s spice you can think of, the full line of KitchenAid mixer attachments (go ahead, make homemade pasta or ice cream) as well as complimentary coffee, tea, cream, sugar, and honey from our family’s apiary (not located on the premises.) The house stays relatively cool from the lake breeze, but comes with two upstairs ceiling fans (bedroom and dining room) and a lower level air conditioner for the master bedroom. The bedrooms are furnished with queen and full sized beds.
Perfect weekend retreat- down the road 15 minutes from Bethel Woods- home of the original Woodstock Festival which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, but also hosts other amazing concerts. 15 minutes away from trendy Livingston Manor and Narrowsburg! 5 minutes to the Shop Rite, Rite Aide.
  • Foliage was fabulous; great kitchen; truly a lovely/peaceful environment

  • We are a group of late 20s friends who booked Justin’s place for a long weekend in October, hoping to enjoy the fall foliage in the area. October 11-15 turned out to be perfect timing! The leaves were beautiful and it was still warm enough for us to enjoy sitting by the lake and eating breakfasts out on the back porch. As architects, we appreciated the house’s stylish modern kitchen and the beautiful master bathroom! All of the bedrooms were comfortable, with comfortable beds and nice linens. The kitchen was thoughtfully well stocked with essentials including spices, coffee, halfnhalf, condiments etc. We had some trouble with the plumbing, but upon notifying our hosts, they jumped to the rescue immediately and were very accommodating. Would book again. Thank you!

    Jessica2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming and cozy cabin. We particularly enjoyed the cozy living room and the decks were serene. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the bedding, etc.

    Michelle2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Maison Fougere was everything we hoped for and more so! From the moment we first contacted Justin to the minute we departed everything worked like clockwork. Maison Fougere is a chalet-like three-bedroom summer home with a gourmet kitchen, Viking appliances and nice touches throughout the house. We wished we had had more time to enjoy the outdoor covered porch overlooking the small lake but most of our time was spent 10 miles away in Bethel where we attended Woodstock's 50th year reunion. Thank you for helping to make our dream come true!

    Michael2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • BEAUTIFUL house right on a lake! We spent every morning sitting out on the deck watching the water with our coffee. The trees surrounding the house add so much privacy you feel like you’re in a giant tree house! The kitchen was amazing and the perfect space to spend quality time with friends while cooking and drinking wine (so.much.wine.). Can’t wait to go back when it’s warmer to go swimming! 10/10

Cozy 1 bedroom cottage set amidst a working 100 acre family farm. Set up on a hill next to horse and cow pastures. Step out your front door and enjoy the beautiful mountainside scenery as well as watching the horses and cows grazing nearby. Laugh at the goats that roam the farm freely as they play and romp all over the farm. Be on the lookout for the rabbits that roam the grounds as well. There are pigs too if you want to take walk down back to the pig pens. You can truly get away from it all.
Right in the heart of the country but only a short drive to stores or other attractions. Short drive to Bethel Woods Performing art Center and Trout Town USA! Great place to unplug and enjoy the beauty of farm life without getting your hands dirty. Skye and her husband Jim are always nearby working or taking care of the animals. Experience the beauty of the baby goats, horses, cows, pigs and rabbits roaming the farm. If you happen to stay during hay season watch as the crew "makes hay" and gets the barns loaded for the winter.
We are only minutes away from Bethel Woods Performing arts center. Grocery stores are nearby as well. If you are an early bird come on down to town to the Running W Pit Stop for breakfast, coffee and chat with the locals. That is where Skye is every morning making breakfast and lunch for locals as well as visitors in the area. Get to experience the home town atmosphere. Travel to main street Livingston Manor to eat and shop or even visit the Brewery. We are also close to the best Trout fishing in NY. Hiking, kayaking, swimming and horseback riding are some of the fun things to do.
  • We loved staying at the farm. Skye was very sweet and friendly as so were the the farm animals. Got some great pics! The cottage was quiet, warm, cozy and private even with all the livestock close by. Will definitely stay here again.

  • BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! Stayed here with my sister and my boyfriend. My sister had to do something in Livingston manor on Saturday morning so we decided to make a trip out of it and book this place for Friday and Saturday. We thought it would be great to stay on a farm and get to see the animals. This place went so beyond our expectations! The house was so clean and cute! We had the full bed to comfortably sleep 2 people and then a couch that was so comfy too! Skye had an air mattress we could have used but we don’t mind a couch. The farm was beautiful! I’ve never had such a close experience with animals before, it was awesome getting to feed and walk around with them. We enjoyed making a fire to sit by at night and had plenty of places to go eat. The Pit Stop was delish! It’s a breakfast place owned by Skye and her husband right around the corner. I can’t wait to come back and stay again!

    Gina2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Skye greets you when you come in and you are welcome to explore her beautiful farm the whole time. I would definitely recommend this place!

    Jacqueline2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Skye was a wonderful host. Her cottage was very very cute and really makes you feel like you are away from it all. Her farm is a working farm with beautiful horses and cows and goats. It's like one big happy family! You definitely feel like you are away from the noise of New York City and the view from the cottage is beautiful. Within 10 to 15 minutes drive to surrounding neighborhoods with great shopping and restaurants and farmers markets Etc. I will definitely stay again.

  • Valian was very accommodating anything you can possibly need he would make happen for you. If I could rate this 10 stars I would!

    Michael2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Camping at Valian's place was a pleasure. It is a beautiful space, with amenities you don't usually get at a camping site like coffee, indoor shower & bathroom, access to a full sized refrigerator and a gas grill! Valian always responded quickly and helpfully in communications, and as a woman camping alone, I felt perfectly safe during my stay. Looking forward to coming back!

    Christina2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was really fun to camp here. Tons of space. You can pitch your tent near or far from the main house. Valian was very friendly and helped us with the gas grill. The guest house with the bathroom is in the process of being worked on but the bathroom and shower were clean and there were lots of clean towels. There is an Orthodox or Hasidic community nearby and some of those houses and buildings look a little ramshackle but Valian's property was quite adorable. We felt totally safe camping out. We will definitely consider coming back if we want to camp again.

    Kait & Peter2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and quiet. We loved that we could choose the area to set up our tent. Valian was very friendly and kind. He was available when needed. He offered to help bring items from car to tent site in his wagon pulled by ATV. The location is very pretty. Those who have not stayed in this part of Sullivan County should know there are a lot of summer camps & family camps for Orthodox/Hasidic communities. On Saturdays these groups do not drive cars so they walk on sides of roads - be careful! The roads are winding and you definitely need to be careful in the area. We will definitely stay at Valian’s place again! Thank you.

    Vanessa2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at Valian’s campground and it was once again great hospitality. The campground is clean, and he also set up camp chairs for us before we even got there. He also added towels in the washroom in case you forget to bring any which is always a nice touch! Thanks again Valian :)

Country home in the Catskill Mountains. This two bedroom is a great place for two couples or a family with children to get away for the weekend. Never leave the property and enjoy the huge yard and porch or head into charming Livingston Manor. Just 10-minutes away, our quaint town has a brewery, restaurants, and boutiques and has been named a must-visit destination in the Catskills. During winter, cozy up with the wood burning stove and fireplace. Holiday Mountain is just 20 minutes away.
The house is a two bedroom house as follows: Bedroom One: Queen bed Bedroom Two: Queen bed, Twin bed and Toddler Bed Kids needs: Pack and Play available as needed. High Chair available as needed. Toys appropriate for 2-5 yr olds available.
Our house is situated driving distance from all of the Western Catskill highlights - Downtown Livingston Manor, Narrowsburg, Youngsville, and Calicoon. From pumpkin picking, to swimming, to winter activities we are happy to make recommendations for things to do based on when you visit including local events. Though, our favorite weekends are spent with a cocktail on the expansive porch or around the fire.
  • What a gem! We spent Thanksgiving here and cooked up a storm, everything we needed was in the kitchen and they even let us know what they had on hand before we arrived. This is a perfect spot for families with kids- we didn’t have to bring a high chair or pack n play as they had on hand. The fireplace and watching sunrises was my favorite. A really special place

    Katie2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean, exactly as described. The check-in was easy through a lockbox, and the host was communicative and responsive. The house had everything we needed, and we had a great time exploring the area. I would definitely go back!

  • Would give this place 6 stars if I could! Pictures truly don’t do it justice. Scott’s place was roomy for our group of 3 (4-5 could comfortably stay here), very thoughtfully appointed and in a very convenient location about 10 minutes outside of Livingston Manor. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen and had a nice fire after a day of hiking. Scott was very easy to communicate with and answered immediately following a question or two I had at check in. Hope to come back and stay here again.

We will re-open booking on June 1st.

  • My girlfriend and I had the best stay at Jaclyn and Jay's cabin. From their thorough notes on the house to the basket of goodies and fridge filled with essentials like coffee creamer and fresh farm eggs! The house has a woodsy and zen vibe, which made our experience that more relaxing. Lots of cool shops, restaurants, and breweries in the area as well. We're already planning our next trip up!

    Nick2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Had the best weekend with my parents and their pups at Jaclyn & Jay's. The location is amazing and hosts were incredible responsive (even when I changed our arrival time a thousand times). Such thoughtful touches including a ready-to-light fire set up in the wood burning stove, an ipod with great tunes, and a basket of treats from the local market. They gave awesome recommendations. Perfect for a long weekend of unplugging. Will definitely be back!

    Marly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jaclyn & Jay’s cabin is a perfect gem hidden in the wood. The place is stylish, very comfy and has everything you need. It was our second stay and same as last time we were greeted with a sweet gesture. The communication is smooth with them and they make you feel at home. Thank you again for sharing your home.

    Laure2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was a perfect little getaway for the weekend. We felt like we were walking into a retreat with the personal little touches like the music and aromas. Jaclyn made everything so effortless on my end, we were able to show up and begin our relaxing weekend with no problems. We would love to visit again.

    Ashley2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We were 4 adults and 2 small dogs who got to enjoy Jaclyn & Jay’s little slice of heaven for a few nights and we loved every minute. The fire pit & forests made for some fun outdoor time. We and our friends are ready to book our next stay!

    Jenny2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • a simply lovely archetypal cabin in the woods experience: the view of garden & woods in the early morning from the terrace was sublime. lots of lovely touches made it characterful. Jay & Jaclyn were great hosts. we were very sorry to leave. cant recommend enough.

    Amanda2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is absolutely perfect. The location is far enough off a main road, but close enough for a quick trip to the store. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing, and the decor adorable! The wrap around porch is the perfect place to sit outside on a cool summer night (can we call it summer yet?) or during the day to soak up some sun. The small touches such as a personal note really made us feel welcomed. We had no issues getting into the cabin. They left a string of lights on for us so finding it at night was also very easy. Wifi worked perfectly. Speakers are there, with an iPod with Spotify, for your use. All in this was one of my favorite Airbnb spots and we will definitely be back!

    Marissa2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Where should I start. Well there is so much to say about Jaclyn & Jay and their perfect cabin but I will try to keep it short. Even though we would like to keep it our secret gem we have to spread the word on how perfect this place is and has everything you need. The location is great and easy to find, in the middle of the wood, hidden enough but close to Livingston Manor, trails, lakes and fun places (The well known Arnold House, the cute and good bakery Bradenburg and more). Jaclyn & Jay are amazing hosts, very responsive, very flexible, we would almost like to get to know them and hang out! ;-) Solly our 12 year old husky was also enjoying this quiet place too and the sunshine on the porch. We highly recommend this cabin and we will surely try to come back! Thank you Jaclyn & Jay to share it with us and others!

  • Skye and Jim went above and beyond their hosting duties during my stay! Upon arrival, I entered into a bliss of open sky, and beautiful fields full of grazing cattle, marvelous horses and curious goats. Skye met me right away and drove me to the site as I packed a bit heavy. I brought a pot, pan silverware, French press, cooler with the basics as well as a pillow, sleeping bag and extra wool blanket. Even thought it’s a glam ping tent, you’re still camping. She provided firewood(large case) for my campfire. There is a wood burning stove inside the tent which was nice and cozy during the night. The tent is big enough for four, but huge for me as I was flying solo for the weekend, This camp has an mini Weber propane grill that was PERCECT for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner! Be sure to bring tinfoil as I ended up using that vs. my cast iron pan. There is a great outdoor table with ample storage for a small cooler and supplies. It’s lockable as well. I loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs with my morning coffee listening to the babbling brook. This truly is one of the quietest, most peaceful places I’ve been to outside of the city in a long time. Be sure to bring a flash light or candles as it’s pitch black at night. Oh, And there are no mosquitos!!! Their outstanding kindness, overall generosity and incredible warmth made my trip that much better. Upon my departure, Skye and Jim offered me farm fresh eggs, steak and porkall raised on site. This place is a true slice of heaven, especially if you love to camp. I almost don’t want to share it!! Thank you Skye and Jim, I’ll be back!! ;)

  • Great stay in Liberty! We were in town for a wrestling tournament at SUNY Sullivan, and did not want to stay in a hotel. Monica was in contact with me before we arrived to let me know what to expect upon arrival. She met us at the door as we pulled in, and showed us around the apartment, and told us to let us know if we needed anything. Beds were comfy, the kitchen and sitting room were charming, and the entire space was sparkling clean with plenty of linens and towels. I would highly recommend Monica's place if you are planning a visit to the Liberty area.

  • We loved Monica’s cottage, very cozy!! It’s a separate apt on top floor of her house, but we felt completely private, Monica was very responsive and around to help when needed. Would stay with her again if we’re up in the area. Also can recommend Catskill Brewery and Upward Brewery 15 min north in Livingston Manor

  • Monica's place is as advertised, and other reviewers are correct - the space is very stylish and very comfortable. I loved reading in the study with some of the provided hot chocolate. It's in a great location for activities in the region and was a great place to call home at the end of each night.

  • This place was wonderful. Lots of amenities, There were so many games for us to play, as well as coffee and a coffee maker. The hosts were super responsive, and the place was less than a 10 minute drive to Main Street. My only suggestions would be that during the winter someone shovel the snow before. It was difficult for my friends and I to take our suitcases up the front porch because it was covered in ice and snow. But we had a magnificent stay otherwise!!

  • Bring your own towels, and prepare to buy firewood if you want to build your own fires.

  • This house had the right amount of space for two couples spending the weekend there. You have lake access and can utilize the kayaks the property has down by the water. Near multiple breweries, Buck Brook Alpacas, and the DeBruce. It's a lovely, quiet location for a weekend getaway.

    Sue2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • My family highly recommends this beautiful place! It was clean, private and had a perfect vibe. The lake was clear and rejuvenating and we had a blast kayaking and swimming. We enjoyed coffee when the sun came up on the deck in the am. We barbecued in the yard and enjoyed the back deck in the sun. At night we loved gazing at the stars as we sat around the fire pit making smores. The beds were comfy, the hot shower was amazing. There was a huge choice of yard games and ping pong, books and a puzzle table set up for family fun. Basket full of brochures for local attractions. There was a bluray dvd player and netflix. In the kitchen was fully equipped. We plan on coming back a whole week next year! They are super responsive and really kind hosts.

  • This cabin was so peaceful! It was great for a wintery getaway with the wood burning stove and jacuzzi but can definitely see coming back in the summer! There was nice touches like the robes for the jacuzzi, providing the firewood, a Bluetooth speaker, and board games. It is close to a lot of recommended attractions including the bakery! Thanks again.

Glamp with us here in White Sulfur Springs Artist Retreat. Make memories and have a picnic in the woods. Hike or nature walk or jump into the stream. Pack up your SUV with your getaway essentials. Bring your tent and air mattress. Don't forget your double sleeping bag to cozy up. Stargaze in the night and wake up to the birds singing. What a wonderful way to disconnect! White Sulfur Springs Artist retreat is 90 minutes from NYC in the beautiful Catskill Mountain Region of Upstate New York.
Your glamping spot has a fire pit that can accommodate cooking, chairs and low table tops. you can collect woods from the surrounding area or bring your own, access to water and outhouse with composting toilet. Learn here about composting toilets here: https://www.letsgogreen.com/how-composting-toilets-work.html We practice "Zero Carbon Footprint" Therefore you must pack and take your garbage back with you. If you bring your pet please know the property is not fenced in.
The retreat is within a 10-minute drive to the incredible Peekamoose hiking trails and waterfalls as well as the Neversink Reservoir swimming area. Unlike more densely settled, gentrified areas outside the city, such as the Hudson River Valley or the Hamptons, this corner of Sullivan County feels lost in time, a cluster of tiny hamlets (like Rosco, world famous for its fly fishing) that follow the twists and turns of the Delaware River. On the western edge of Sullivan County is the town of Jeffersonville, a place where you can find antiques and all sorts of oddities that feel like treasures lost in time. The towns of Livingston Manor and Callicoon, each less than 20 miles from one another, are attracting artists and entrepreneurs who are transforming these sleepy towns. During the winter the Catskill Mountains are transformed into a winter oasis where snow skiing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling takes center stage.

  • We stayed at Hemlock Falls in early October 2019. The campsite had everything we needed to be comfortable, even when the temperature dipped into the 40s at night. It is hard to overstate how beautiful their property is. The hosts were responsive to our inquiries and also very kind--but they let us keep to ourselves for the duration of our visit. Highly recommended. Would visit again.

  • We had a wonderful stay! The property is absolutely breathtaking and the amenities are top notch! Such a great time, we will be back!

    Emily2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Glen site and had the most wonderful long weekend. The site itself was exactly as described, in a beautiful location that felt very private. It was super cute, as clean as a camp site can be, and the bed was very comfortable. It got quite chilly the nights we were there and the blankets provided kept us cozy and snug. They do provide a heater in the tent as well, but we were fine without it. The property itself is so very special, with 3 waterfalls and 2 swimming holes, as well as gorgeous meadows and forests to explore. Michelle's parents were very friendly and accommodating, and Michelle was very quick to respond. We are so glad we found this place and are looking forward to planning another trip next season.

    Annika & Jeff2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience at Hemlock Falls was so wonderful and beyond our expectations. The campsites are beautiful and Michelle and her family supplied us with everything we need. Michelle was super easy to communicate with and sent a helpful list prior to arriving. She also picked the most beautiful bouquet of wildflowers for us before we left! The land that the campsite is on is beautiful and peaceful. 100% recommend Hemlock Falls to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing camping getaway with no hassle.

    Jennifer2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This trip was amazing! I stayed at the Ridge site. It was perfectly situated, right in between the trials, but tucked away far enough for privacy. It was just my dog and myself. I was nervous doing it by myself but once there, felt completely safe!! Michelle and her parents were super helpful! And the campground is close driving distance to some fun restaurants and breweries that are pet friendly!

    Haley2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The experience was very impressive! Exactly as described. Michelle was great at communicating and her sweet parents are running a cool, well-kept place. The four tents basically exist in their 40-acre backyard - they are private but close enough that it does not feel too remote. The waterfalls & trails were fun to explore, and the amenities made the experience feel like true camping without any hassle. When we ran out of wood at night, one text, & they brought more. The location is right off the highway which made it very convenient for our road trip but you can hear the highway while sleeping. Overall, their hospitality & the space were great! Exactly what we were looking for. Thanks again!

    Casey2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • I surprised my boyfriend with a “glamping” trip with enough real camping elements that were enough to get him excited. We were not disappointed. Michelle and her family are incredibly friendly, helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. I’m also insanely impressed that the father and son built these luxury platformed tents on their own - they were so well-made with such attention to detail. We stayed in the smaller camp - Ridge Site - which was perfect. The platformed tent was the perfect size, two side tables, flap windows, a bug net around the bed, comfy pillows, extra blankets, a mirror, flashlights, and a map of the grounds. There was also a covered porch with two chairs and bug repellent tools - candles and such - that was amazing since we went during HEAVY rain. We didn’t wet at all - the tent and porch were perfectly made to withstand any weather hiccups. The covered kitchen was clutch due to the weather - equipped with a cover that keeps it completely dry - to our surprise - even in torrential downpours. The kitchen had very clean and upgraded pots, pans, knives, salt, pepper, cutting board - anything we needed. The fire pit was great with two super comfy chairs to sit on. There was an outdoor toilet in a tent that didn’t gross me out - which says a lot. The tents are spaced out enough where you really feel alone and within nature. The ONLY complaint is two camps surrounding the grounds are loud in the evening - but we were informed they are working on having that maintained. Otherwise all you hear is the wAterfalls - four of which are on the grounds. We hiked and Swam in them all day it was so beautiful, we were totally alone, because there are only four cabins you don’t run into anyone much. There’s also an area where there aren’t any trees and you can look at the stars at night. Grocery store nearby is totally fine - we made fish one night. I will definitely come back and absolutely suggest this for a weekend getaway. Great shopping on the way back from the city too - westbury commons. Go, your friends will think your really cool and in the “know” for finding this place. At least that’s how my boyfriend made me feel!!

    Andie2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle’s families land have made this a great place to go for those looking for the in between of camping and a cabin. “GLAMPING” through and through minus the shower.

Michelle and her family were great hosts, making sure everything was prepped and supplied, while allowing us to have good isolation and privacy. Nearby attractions: → Cabernet Frank's (Live music & BBQ). → A yoga studio is a short walk down the road and The Rail Trail is located approx. 1 mile away. → Livingston Manor (10 min drive) → Roscoe, aka Trout Town USA, is a 15 min drive → The next town over is Liberty. Perfect for essential shopping (Rite Aid & ShopRite).
  • The hosts at Hemlock Falls were very accommodating! Requested some firewood and a starter pack and it was waiting when we arrived. The campsite had all the essentials- all you need to pack is food, water, and toiletries. Loved the area and location. Awesome hiking and falls nearby. Packing an extra flashlight won’t hurt either!

  • Kim and her husband were wonderful hosts, they made us feel welcome with kindness and pleasant conversation. They were accommodating and very understanding of our little hiccups. The location is lovely, the woods are fairly easy to navigate and proximity to the falls is amazing! Clear, cool water runs through the woods creating a string of falls which include small pools. We were fortunate enough to experience unseasonably summery days for the last leg of September. Being able to walk down and go for a dip was one of the best things about our stay! The only thing that may not be ideal: the site is in earshot of passing vehicles on the highway- especially during the quietest hours. No roads are visible or even in walking distance, aside from the quiet road at the entrance, the noise from the highway just cuts through the serenity of the forest. It wasn't an issue for us but if you're looking for total immersion perhaps another one of their sites would suit you best. The bedding was amazingly comfortable and balanced for the contrast in night/day temperatures. Looking forward to another visit.

  • I cannot recommend this enough! It was my first time glamping and it will be hard to go back to camping! Michelle and her family were so friendly and welcoming. The campsite had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy and cosy! We hiked across their property swimming in 2 swimming holes. It was perfect! We can’t wait to book again!

  • Perfect place for camping, everything you need and more is there. Nice extra touches like games and books. Owners very helpful and nice! Close to fishing and hiking and there are three waterfalls right on the property! Will definitely be heading back as soon as I can.

  • We went here for a couples trip! Loved the secluded spot and campsite (with a waterfall 5 min walk from our campsite). Sleeping in the glampsite felt like sleeping in a hotel room (super comfortable queen or king sized bed) with a nice little covered porch when it rained for a bit. There was also a fully stocked kitchen and charcoal grill which was great for cooking. You don't have to think about bringing anything as there are chairs, cooking utensils, blankets, towels, games, books, etc. Highly recommend for anyone (especially couples) who are looking to getaway and be with nature for a weekend.

Enjoy the summer at this scenic cottage. Located with beautiful views over a pond, this seasonal cottage is the perfect place for your getaway in the Sullivan County Catskills, only 2 hours from Manhattan and 15 minutes from Bethel Woods. The 2 bed, 1 ½ bath former artist cottage has a huge deck that opens out onto the pond, where you can sit and watch the wildlife, go fishing, or take the 2 person kayak out to spot eagles, herons, hummingbirds, turtles and frogs.
An easy 2 hours from New York City, the cottage is 15 minutes to the historic Bethel Woods concert venue, 7 minutes into the village of Jeffersonville, and 20 minutes to Livingston Manor, Callicoon and other Catskills towns. It’s the perfect location to base yourself while exploring Sullivan County – farms, breweries, boutique restaurants, antique stores, and the indoor water park and casino in Monticello, are all within a 30 minute drive. At the end of the day, enjoy the water views, listen to the frogs and birds, bbq on the deck, or relax with our well stocked games collection. The recently renovated cottage maintains some of its original features, and has new appliances, WIFI, cable tv, washer/dryer, window a/c units, water filtration system, a sleeper sofa, and electric heaters in each room for cooler evenings. This is an insulated seasonal cabin so it does not have full heating and it is closed for the winter.
The cottage is located in the hamlet of Briscoe Lake, 7 minutes from the village of Jeffersonville. There is a private dock, and the pond connects through to the larger lake where you can kayak and fish. Jeffersonville has a grocery store, post office, wine store, gift and antique shopping, and multiple restaurants. The area is surrounded by farmland and forest, and you can often see an eagle flying around the lake.
  • Catherine's cottage is peaceful and relaxing. It had everything we needed.

  • Catherine was very kind and helpful from the start, gave us good tips and made us feel welcome. The cottage is very cute, the porch overlooking the pond is lovely, and the home itself very cozy and comfortable. A good find!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all there is to explore close by this quaint cottage in the Catskill Mountains. Its 2 bedrooms, spacious living & dining area and all around charm make it a perfect getaway spot for those looking to relax or explore. Early mornings on the large back deck enjoying our morning coffee, while watching the many birds making their home on Briscoe Lake was a perfect way to start each day. After a fun paddle around the lake (thanks to the super convenient backyard dock) we made our way along the scenic drive to Bethel, home of Woodstock and some pretty perfect food & drink spots. Be sure to check out the Bethel Market Café for an awesome brunch and Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. for a perfect cup (iced or hot!). We hope to be back to enjoy one of many incredible events hosted at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Catherine, our host, was wonderful and recommended some awesome dinner spots – we chose The Arnold House and were not disappointed (the locally sourced smoked trout dip… amazing!). In the evening, back at the cottage, we enjoyed picking a fun game from the large library of board games – what a great touch! While visiting be sure to go for a stroll and explore the many antique shops & boutiques in nearby Jefferson. Everyone was so friendly and the ice cream shop was a great bonus! A trip to the Catskill Brewing Company and a casual outdoor dining experience at The Kaatskeller rounded out our perfect stay in the beautiful Catskill Mountains. Thank you, Catherine, for hosting such a special place <3
