Places to stay in Weybridge
My place is minutes to Middlebury, close to Bristol and Vergennes and about 50 minutes to Burlington. There is much to do at our local craft breweries, wineries, distilleries, Nordic and alpine ski areas, recreation areas for hiking, kayaking, biking, great views. You’ll love the outdoor space, full private kitchen and bath, private entrance.. We welcome couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and well behaved dogs. A full variety of breakfast items and snacks are provided.
Apartment in newer home in a quiet country setting. Spectacular views with many attractions and activities nearby. The apartment is the lower level walkout basement of our home with plenty of light and ambiance. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, a comfortable queen pullout couch, and another full sized couch. The full kitchen is stocked with lots of dishes, pans, utensils, appliances and basic recipe ingredients and condiments to make preparing meals a breeze. Relax and enjoy the property nestled in 12+ acres of meadows (through which are mowed paths for walking and/or snowshoeing) and a partially wooded area that abuts Otter Creek. The Creek is great for fishing and kayaking and there is a public picnic area a short walk from the property. There are plenty of other creeks, ponds and lakes within short driving distance for water recreation activities as well. Wildlife abounds and sightings of our nearby nesting Eagles, Ospreys, Herons and many other birds and animals occur on a pretty regular basis. Our quiet pastoral roads are wonderful for biking and many short and extended biking tours of the state go right through our community.

  • Christine's accommodations are perfect! The apartment was extremely neat and clean! Christine provided detailed orientation and welcomed us with a cinnamon coffee cake (that was delicious)! She even left dog bones for our dog that accompanied us. Christine also had a refrigerator full of breakfast foods for our choosing and everything you could need to cook or bake for yourself. She is a wonderful host with a beautiful property and wonderful accommodations! We look forward to our next visit there! We highly recommend staying at Christine's daylight apartment!

  • We had a great time! The space was much larger than we were expecting, and the stocked fridge/pantry was a really nice touch! Would definitely recommend!

  • This is a great place! We stayed during a unexpected snowstorm and they were kind enough to give us both spots in their garage for our cars, shovel us out in the morning, and check in several times. The kitchen is so well stocked, which was perfect for breakfast on a snowed-in morning. Overall, amazing hosts!

Quaint setting only seven minutes into Middlebury and forty minutes to Burlington. Ski, swimming holes, excellent Yoga studios, hiking, cozy restaurants, and shopping all within five to twenty minutes. This large studio is bright and has plenty of land to roam. I am taking all the precautions needed to keep our space sanitized and I open all the windows and completely air out our space. All the blankets are washed between guests.
We offer you a nice clean space to rest, restore, and adventure. The chickens will roam freely outside your window, and our miniature goats would love to be held. We are here to help you find your way around the 3 beautiful cozy towns, all within 7-10 minutes away. In addition We offer a large work space with comfort seating, for possible work from home situation.
Neighbors are nice, we all love our space here in Vermont, but if you speak to our neighbors, they are very sweet.
  • If you want a remote getaway with ample opportunity for outdoor activities, this is a highly recommended spot. Leslie also laid everything out so nicely! The place was clean and cozy! We loved the meditation room. Its very peaceful. Also, expect a friendly peacock to greet you soon your arrival!

  • What a terrific place! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. My partner and I came for a winter weekend in Vermont in between Christmas and New Year's. The space itself is practically the ideal of a cozy farmhouse -- rustic in just the right way, toasty warm when the fire gets going, and chickens and a peacock to greet you outside the door in the morning. We found that it looks even better in person than the photos suggest. My partner is also very sensitive to chemical fragrances, and it was very amenable in that regard (though we brought our own sheets and towels, as we always do when traveling). Big thanks to Leslie for being so mindful about choosing unscented cleaning products and the like. We also found the location great for our purposes -- Burlington, Waterbury/Stowe, and Shoreham (and obviously even closer places like Middlebury and Vergennes) are all within very reasonable striking distance. Now we just have to work through all the beer, cider, and cheese we brought back with us.

  • Beautiful space and surrounding area... Leslie was very accommodating and a great host!

    Jel2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Never wanted to leave. From the mountains outside the kitchen door to being greeted by chickens it was exactly what I loved! Clean space with a very peaceful vibe. 100% would stay here again!

  • This was our second stay at Leslie's place. We love the location, the space itself, and all the suggestions and personal touches that Leslie put into the space. It was just as perfect as the first time, and we'll be back again soon!

    Brian2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Repeat guest - terrific stay again!

    Ken2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a much different experience than an AirBnB inside of a large city. It's very quiet, and promotes a relaxing atmosphere. Leslie communicated well and had a large amount of extra amenities out for us when we arrived. We also got to meet the chickens and the roaming Peacock.

    Ronnie2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie’s home was the perfect Vermont weekend getaway! The space is thoughtfully designed with everything you need and more, and Leslie’s warmth and hospitality was much appreciated. We hope to visit again soon!

This is a spacious guesthouse/retreat where you can relax and unwind. There are great views and walking down the road is serene, with open fields bordered by woods and teaming with wildlife. Nestled in the foothills of the green mountains, we’re just 10-15 minutes to restaurants in Bristol or Middlebury and 30-40 minutes to the lake or skiing. Come explore all that Addison County has to offer and you’ll quickly find why so many people choose to stay.
This is a large one bedroom apartment with tall ceilings and great light. It has vintage touches mixed with modern amenities.
Our house is a 1/4 mile from the nearest neighbor, at the end of a dirt road. It is at the top of a hill so it has great views of the foothills and the back side of Mad River Glen through the Bristol gap. The road is great for walks or bike rides and the area is famous for it's great hiking, skiing or sailing.
  • I had a wonderful stay at Ben's! He has tastefully decorated the large apartment above his woodworking shop...giant comfy beds, open kitchen/dining space, lots of hot water, and a separate entrance. Ben is a gracious host and fun to talk with. Stay here if you have the opportunity, highly recommended!

    Kyle2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very clean and very comfortable. The view from the living room on the mountain was exceptional. We had everything that was needed in the accommodation. The host was very kind and knew the area well.

Clutter-free but with everything you need to relax and enjoy time away. Don’t pass up the chance to stay here!

  • What a picture perfect place nestled in the mountains of Vermont. I’m always looking for the most unique places to stay at and this place did not disappoint. The kitchen was amazing and I had fun making dinner for my family each night. Also taking morning runs on the local roads. Will definitely be coming back.

This cozy, private one-bedroom two-level Victorian carriage house is down the street from the Middlebury Inn. A short walk downtown Middlebury in one direction or fields and woods in the other, this is a comfortable and charming retreat in a great location.
The carriage house is a separate building adjacent to our private home. The first level includes a bathroom with a shower, and an eating area with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and cute drop-leaf table. Upstairs is a large open area with a comfortable queen-size bed and a living area with a couch, chairs, cable tv and desk. This space has is ideal for two people. For additional guests, we can provide an air mattress in the same large room as the bed. (Please note that we do not automatically set up the air mattress for bookings for two guests. If you wish to request it, please message us. We charge an additional $20/day for bookings that use the air mattress.) Note: There have been a few minor changes to the furnishings since these photos were taken.
The property is in a fantastic location. It is less than a quarter mile to the grocery store, natural foods co-op, laundry mat, and Bagel Shop. It's only a quarter mile more into downtown Middlebury, which has lovely shops, restaurants and bars. Keep walking and you'll arrive at Middlebury College, which is one mile from our house. Our house is also a quarter of a mile from two different trail heads of the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM), an 18 mile walking path around our town. You can easily take a 3 mile hike directly from your door and enjoy the woods and views from Chipman Hill.
  • Very comfortable and clean, great location. We would stay there again.

  • Cozy spot with a spacious upper story. Easy 20 mins walk to Middlebury campus. Hosts are quick to respond. Would stay again.

  • My husband and I loved staying here for a few days. The space has real charm - kind of a funky arrangement with the bathroom & kitchen-like facilities downstairs, but very cozy and comfortable. Caitlin & Andy are great, laid-back hosts & there was lots of good local information provided. We enjoyed our stay in Middlebury and would recommend a stop at the excellent Art Museum at the College. It's free!

    Anne2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was wonderful! I stayed in the dead of winter when the temps dipped below freezing. The space was warm and the shower was hot. And the bed was so very comfortable. The hosts also provided a variety of Keurig coffee and teas, cream in the fridge, plates and utensils, etc. There is even an induction stove top (that I didn't use). And the location in Middlebury was perfect. I appreciated my host coming out to greet me and offer local restaurant tips, etc. She was so friendly. Perfect stay.

    Craig2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I found the Carriage House an ideal location for a long weekend in Middlebury. The interior is beautifully restored and sparkling clean. It is comfortable yet stylish and very close to downtown Middlebury and the college. I have already booked my next stay and in the Spring.

    Holly2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Caitlin and Andy’s place. It is walking distance to the town of Middlebury and the space was clean and comfortable.

The sky dome floods the yurt with natural light. Bird songs drift in through the screened windows. Wooded trails outside your door. Close to town yet private. Fire pit for sitting out under the stars. double sized bed in loft with memory foam topper makes it very comfy. This is a rustic yet elegant stay. Cooled by fans and heated by wood pellet stove. It is not a good fit for very young children due to the stairs, hot wood stove and rough lumber flooring.
Songbird Sangha is a unique place which has been thoughtfully placed amongst the trees. It's unique design gives you a spaceous and airy feel of being outdoors. The sounds of the birds , peepers and owl's, drift in through the screens. Moonlight streams in through the dome or you can look at the stars while laying in bed. It is heavenly for lover's of the outdoors.
We cannot see other houses from our property. It is quiet, has lovely views and privacy. The village has a book store, several bakery's, art gallery, jewelry store, brewery/bistro, pizza, concerts on the green, farmer's market, hiking and more.
  • The place is incredibly beautiful, very clean, and has everything you need. And Ellen is a wonderful host!

    Kilian2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in this fabulous yurt! Super cozy and clean.

    Annie2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This yurt is the coolest place I ever stayed. It is gorgeous and has everything you need. It has a full amazing kitchen that is better than most apartments have! The sky roof is the best part. Great romantic getaway.

    Zoë2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was amazing and just what we had been looking for to get away! It was well stocked and we loved all the little touches. While we were there we enjoyed a thunderstorm from under the dome and it was awesome! Stay here, you won’t regret it!

    Jennifer2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely everything about our stay at Ellen and Jay’s yurt was wonderful. We were expecting it to be cute and fun but it far exceeded all our expectations. It’s incredibly comfortable and cosy, charming and romantic. We had our coffee outside on sunny mornings and enjoyed the warmth of the stove and sound of the rain on the yurt on the couple of rainy evenings we had while enjoying home cooked dinners. Have I mentioned falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the birds, the horses, the views, the peace? This is a truly magical place.

    Geraldine2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen and Jay were perfect hosts and their yurt provided a comfortable and cozy space for our stay. We would not hesitate to return. Lovely private setting.

    Lester2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely peaceful no fuss place to stay. The bed was comfortable and downstairs was perfect, there is no microwave so bring food that you can only cook on the stove or toaster oven. Alexa was a good addition to the yurt. We loved having a fire in the fire pit at night then moved into the yurt at night then enjoyed the pellet stove.

    Joanna2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in the yurt was so serene. What a great space Ellen has created, with all the amenities needed to be cozy and comfortable! The animals were a sweet bonus. Ellen and Jay are great people. We would love to return and spend more time checking out Ellen's suggestions. We got some great food at Snaps in Bristol and also stopped at the local market to get ingredients to cook dinner in the yurt too. (Be patient using the pellet stove, it takes a few minutes to get ignited.)

  • Wendy provided us a great place very conveniently located near Middlebury College. Considering the scarcity of hotels near Middlebury College, this place is hidden gem for parents of and visitors to Middlebury. The sunny view from the window was beautiful. A bagel shop in downtown was in walking distance.

  • My husband and I spent a delightful four nights at Abbott's place earlier this week. We used it as our base to ski and hike and enjoy the beautiful countryside. We appreciated how well provisioned his place was. Lovely towels, sheets, etc. We had everything we could want in a kitchen including a vitamix for my morning smoothies! Some food items that were very useful including coffee, tea and some left behind food items from other travellers (peanut butter, etc.). Great location close to many amenities and yet off the beaten path. Abbott very responsive to all of our little questions....Looking forward to next time when we will explore the river and additional hiking trails!

    Don2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic rental very close the the Green Mountain National Forest. The apartment was incredibly clean with very nice amenities and comfortable beds. Abbott was really accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend.

  • Great apartment in East Middlebury about a 10-15 minute drive to campus. Very clean and comfortable space with nicer quality cookware and utensils. It was very nice having basic supplies such butter, oil, basic seasonings, coffee, tea, etc. The bed was quite comfortable with nice linens throughout. Communication with Abbott was very good.

  • Beautiful, clean apartment with great amenities and location. We truly enjoyed our stay. One word of caution to future travelers - the host will charge you for additional guests (our group grew from 3 to 4) and for sleeping in all the beds (our daughter took an afternoon nap in the third bed). These charges were billed to us after checkout.

  • This perfect apartment is conveniently located near Middlebury, VT. It has everything you need to be comfortable. The fireplace is beautiful and the bed is comfortable. The whole place is spotless. We did a day trip from there to Rutland and Killington as well, and it is a beautiful trip. Well worth the hour travel time. Sue also gave us a list of places to eat. Breakfast at Middlebury Bagel and Deli was fabulous, and dinner at American Flatbread was an exceptional experience. We will be back on our next trip to Middlebury. We go there once a year to do pet portraits...I wish it were more often!

  • My wife and I took a long weekend to celebrate her birthday and relax in the Vermont countryside. We picked Dog Team Falls initially because of its central location between Middlebury, Bristol, and Vergennes. The apartment so welcoming and perfectly placed. Staying right on Otter Creek with a birds eye view of the actual Dog Team falls provided amazing Vermont views. We spent a full day enjoying the local Vineyards, breweries, and restaurants. Sue was so helpful with recommendations and had plenty of information to make our even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend this Airbnb for a weekend away with your significant other or if are by yourself and need a break from a busy life.

Skiing, hiking and swimming holes nearby. Host available for assistance on site or by text. Vermont charm and comfort.
This space is very private and peaceful. It is a five minute walk into town, to the coffee shop on the corner, the river, the library, restaurants and the store. It is close to hiking, Mad River Glen is an easy 1/2 hour drive and Sugar Bush is another five minutes (22 miles) though it is a mountain drive, so snow tires are recommended. Middlebury is eleven miles away(15 minutes) and Burlington is forty minutes.
The neighborhood is charming and a stroll around the village is very enjoyable. Many of the houses have beautiful gardens, porches and the green is a welcoming place to sit and relax.
  • Wonderful trip - Deborah's home is in walking distance to a bunch of restaurants. Home was clean and we had plenty of room.

  • This is a charming, comfortable home and Yinglei is friendly and accommodating.

    Lily2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Yinglei's place was exactly what I needed for a short weekend snowboarding trip. Great hospitality and good amenities at a very affordable rate. She was also graciously accommodating when I was delayed and had quite the late-night arrival. The next day, looking outside the windows at all the fresh snow in the forest was just exceptional. I wish I had more time to stay and enjoy the place. Highly recommended!

  • The rooms were clean and spacious with everything needed to be comfortable during a visit when I was not planning to spend a lot of time "at home." Nick provided a great orientation along with an instruction sheet, and Nick and Jill were very quiet and respectful during the time that we did spend there. Highly recommend if you don't need a completely private space.

This cozy compact cottage is in a rural setting and off the beaten path. It is about a 12 minute drive to Middlebury where you can find shops, restaurants and Middlebury College. Burlington is about 40 minutes north of where we are located. Hiking/skiing in the Green Mountains, fly fishing in the nearby New Haven River, boating/swimming on Lake Champlain, and enjoying the many local craft breweries and wineries are some of the many activities you have access to from this beautiful spot.
This is a completely refurbished small compact cottage with it's own yard and private driveway, located in a beautiful rural country setting. There is a small, separate bedroom with a cozy double bed and a comfortable full size pullout couch in the living room/kitchen area, a full size bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and a well equipped kitchen. Entry into the cottage is thru a spacious mudroom, an ideal space to store skiing, fishing/hiking equipment, or bikes. A comfortable deck off the front of the cottage can be accessed either from inside or outside the cottage.
The neighborhood is quiet with the ability to see other neighbors homes, but far enough away from them for complete privacy. We are surrounded by many trees and fields and enjoy a beautiful view of the Green Mountains. If you are an early riser, there are some amazing sunrises.
  • A great space to stay in. It is not far from Burlington. There is plenty of things to do around the town and in the towns close by.

    Emily2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely spectacular. Writing this review is akin to shooting myself in the foot......I travel to watch my daughter, Middlebury Hockey player, play and sometimes just to visit. The location is just 12 minutes from the Middlebury College Rink and is absolutely homey! The facilities are beautiful, the linens exquisite (including quilts), breakfast clearly meets everyone's needs and to top that off, there are fresh flowers. Need I say more?

    April2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just a lovely little cottage house, perfect for a getaway from the hustle and bustle. We stayed here for just one night during a quick vacation to Middlebury. It was the perfect distance, easy to find, and the drive offered us gorgeous views of the mountains and some local historic buildings. Marcia was very communicative, and we had everything we could have needed.

    Robin2020-03-02T00:00:00Z

  • Perfect weekend/mid week getaway spot

    Shawn2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful cottage that is perfect for one or two people. It is a few minutes from the center of New Haven giving it the feel of being out in the country yet close to larger towns such as Middlebury or Vergennes. It is easy to get to and find just off of Route 7, and the host's directions are thorough and clear. There are beautiful views of the Green Mountains. The cottage was immaculate with nice touches of fresh flowers. The accommodations are simple and comfortable: a small couch and rocking chair in the living area, small table in the kitchen, a double bed, and a bathroom with a tub and shower. The kitchen has all of the appliances and dishes one needs for cooking all meals. There is no dishwasher or disposal, but that is not terribly necessary. The kitchen has staples needed for cooking (salt, pepper, etc), and the host supplies food and the usual drinks for breakfast, eggs, English muffins, several yogurts, blueberry muffins, energy bars, fruit, coffee, tea, etc. The wifi is excellent, which means that if you really want media entertainment, you can use your computer, but why not enjoy the peace, quiet, and natural beauty that surrounds you? There is a heating and airconditioning unit that was perfect for the former. I was staying in winter with temperatures around 0 degrees F outside, but I was quite comfortable inside.

    Jerry2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Marcia's place is an absolute gem. It is perfect for any solo travelers or couples in terms of its privacy, spaciousness, and the amazing hospitality Marcia provides. Marcia provided very thoughtful snacks and foods during my stay which I enjoyed thoroughly, and she was a swift message/text away whenever I needed anything. The pictures are accurate to what you can expect, and the place was sparkling clean, which is always of the most importance when I book through airbnb. It is a short drive from downtown Bristol, as well as many ski resorts in the area. I could not have been more satisfied with my stay. I strong recommend Marcia as a hostess and her beautiful cottage to anyone that may be interested.

This small cottage is nestled in a professionally landscaped garden 1.5 miles north of Bristol village. Cozy double bed, dresser, ceiling fan with vaulted ceiling make it a sweet destination. Very private outdoor shower with hot/cold water, outdoor sink, and a flushable toilet within a separate "outhouse".
The cottage does not have heat which makes this a seasonal rental only. In cool weather, an electric space heater works great. The double sized bed makes this a cozy fit for two.
Bristol is a charming village nestled on the western side of the Green Mountains and surrounded by farmland. Hiking trails start from the village or are within a short drive. On hot summer days, check out Bartlett Falls and other swimming holes in the New Haven River. There are miles of cycling on paved or dirt roads in any direction. The famous App Gap or Lincoln Gap challenges start/end here. 20 minutes from Middlebury College; 30 minutes to Kingsland Bay State Park on Lake Champlain; 45 minutes to Burlington. There are plenty of restaurants, from gourmet to casual, serving locally sourced food and craft brews. Our downtown is one block long with an interesting mix of stores and friendly shopkeepers. Honey Lights, a charming beeswax candle shop, makes great gifts. Art on Main features local artists of all genres. Rocky Dale Gardens is a treasure. Music, farmer’s markets, food and brew tours and berry picking are just a few options for local summer experiences within Addison County.
  • Gorgeous little cottage. It was like a dream. My boyfriend and I stayed one night and hope to come back again next year for even longer. Very cozy with a nice little town center.

  • Much cozier than expected. The outside shower was perfect after a long day of hiking. The bed was so, so comfortable. Marianne was an absolute delight, and she had her kitty in her arms when she met us!! If you need a small, comfortable spot to rest your head, this is the place!

    Gigi2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Marianne’s place is such a perfect, sweet, amazing little gem, nestled in the gorgeous hills of Vermont. Absolutely fell in love with the outdoor shower (in October!) which affords plenty of privacy and hot water. Temperatures were dipping into the low 40’s at night and we were plenty warm with the cabin’s little heater and blankets. Marianne is kind, helpful and allows her guests the space to relax and unwind. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and nearby downtown Bristol is all that you could wish for in rural VT with a grocery store, cafes, restaurants and shops with local crafts. You’re gonna love it so much!

    Theresa2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint little cabin in the woods! Definitely a fun experience

    Liz2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location was lovely, the grounds well maintained. The cabin is very clean and the outdoor facilities private. The patio perfect for wine, cheese and a fresh salad from the local pizzeria in Bristol.

  • This cabin is absolutely adorable- the perfect weekend getaway for someone who’s looking to have a rustic experience! • Les, Jenny, and Bill were all gracious hosts. Real salt of the earth types. They let us bottle feed their baby alpaca and play with their new puppy! We were given free range of their property, giving us a chance to enjoy their livestock and the beautiful sunset over the Adirondacks. The room itself was cute, cozy, and lavished with plush towels and an array of bedding. The house was equally lovely with thoughtful touches and decorations. It was warm, inviting, and authentically lived in. Overall a very charming weekend!

  • My husband and I (along with our two dogs) stayed at Les and Jenny’s farm house over a four day weekend. Jen and Les were wonderful hosts, going above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. Their farm is absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed our morning walks with views of the alpacas, cows, and hens. The farmhouse itself was very clean, cozy, and warm. We loved everything about our stay, including the friendliness and availability of the hosts, the indoor decor, the smell of vanilla candle and fresh baked brownies, the warmth of the wood burning stove, the scenic views of farmland, and the character of all the animals on the farm. We highly recommend staying with Les and Jenny!

  • Bob was a great host and the house/room was very pleasant. He was super friendly and had great suggestions for local restaurants. This was a great place to stay to ski sugarbush for the weekend—the drive to the mountain is windy and hilly, but very beautiful, so as long as winter weather isn’t too extreme it’s fine.

  • Great place to stay near Middlebury. We were in to see our daughter at a track meet and this was no more than 10 mins away. Breakfasts at their house was the best meal we ate while visiting as Richard is an excellent cook. Dogs were great greeters. The area of the house where you stay is private (i.e., all your own).

  • We have been frequent visitors to central Vermont since the 1950s and there are two outstanding features of Richard's place...best view and best breakfast....by far!

  • Bella Vista is true to its name! The view is spectacular! The apartment offers a lovely bedroom with full view of the mountains through sliding glass doors to the deck! In all of our stays near Middlebury over 4 years, we’ve never been treated to as gorgeous a view as this! On top of a gourmet breakfast cooked to order, Richard provides extra touches like the best chocolate milk in the fridge, water and chocolates in the room, and Keurig available any time. Three beautiful dogs greet you and accept any attention guests want to provide. Richard is a warm and welcoming host! We will be back and look forward to it!

  • BellaVista was amazing! It’s location in rural VT was just what we needed for a weekend getaway. Richard and Laurie’s home was like a home- away-from home! We were welcomed by both and their 3 amazing dogs! All the comforts needed- Keurig, assortment of Kcups, refrigerator if needed, complimentary water and the best chocolate milk ever! They also provided toiletries should you have forgotten them- toothbrush, toothpaste, razor and soap. The en-suite was super clean. The view from the deck outside of the bedroom is nothing short of magnificent!! We were provided with a menu to chose our breakfast entree for the morning- along with our delicious omelets, we were also greeted to yogurt and homemade granola, fresh fruit, zucchini bread and freshly brewed hot coffee. Enjoyed wonderful conversation and the company of Orzo, Risotto and Pucky 🐶🐶🐶who were content to just lay on the floor around us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Will visit again next Fall for sure🍂🍁

    Laura2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely stay! It was so nice to meet Richard and Laurie--and even Laurie's mom, Margot! And, of course, I cant forget to mention their wonderful furry "kids"! How lucky we were to happen upon their home for our one night stay in the Middlebury area. The view was gorgeous. I was only sorry that the weather was too cold to go for a swim in the pond. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our arrival surprise was so appreciated after a long day--not to mention the wonderful soak in the deep tub! And, of of course, the "piece de resistance"--the amazing cooked to order breakfast prepared by Chef Richard. Everything was fresh, prepared perfectly and very very special! And I must thank Margot for her suggestion of getting the "package" at the Maritime Museum of the informative boat ride, the museum entrance, and a lunch at the Red Mill. We enjoyed it immensely! If we are ever in the Middlebury area, we will be sure to choose Bella Vista! Kathy and Don

  • It was such a great experience. Richard was very responsive to my messages. We were warmly welcomed at the door, while three beautiful well trained dogs were also waiting to meet us. Our rooms were separated from of the main house by a hall, which gave a sense of privacy. The amazing back deck gave us stunning views for stargazing and a spectacular sunrise. Not only this, but Richard gave us an actual menu of breakfast choices for the morning! It was such a treat to be fed so well! We typically have only rented places to have all to ourselves, but this was a game changer for us. Can't recommend it enough!

One private bedroom in a cozy, old, family farmhouse in rural Vermont. The community is quiet and rural, but driving distance to many eateries, hikes, and local ski mountains. The private room is in our family home with my husband, daughter, friendly pup, and I! The house is right on our dairy farm which you are welcome to walk around and explore.
Homey, cozy private room with a quirky feel and shared bathroom with stand up shower
Quiet, rural, and very safe neighborhood in a very agriculture-based area
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Suzy’s farm. Her family was warm and welcoming and the accommodations were perfect and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you’re looking for a relaxing, idyllic small town location. At one point, we pulled over to the side of our road from our way back to Suzy’s after being in town just to look at the stars, which were more vibrant than I’d ever seen before.

    Francesca2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I don’t think I can overstate our experience. From accommodations to the beauty of the farm, this stay was nothing short of incredible!

    Zeke2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A good place for those who are tired of living in the city and want to relax in nature! Fresh air and hiking will all make your mood better. A very friendly Dog who will always be happy to play with you. If I can, I will gladly return. Very friendly family who works a lot. Good luck to everyone!

  • Suzy and her husband rob are kind and welcoming people who live on a lovely farm (cows and pigs I believe). Suzy is very responsive and accommodating, she took care of me and my late arrival time with no problem at all! She provided a clean, comfy, relaxing atmosphere to lay my head at night and that’s exactly what I was looking for! I would 100%!stay here again next time I’m in the area.

    Ali2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Suzy and her family welcomed us warmly to their home. It’s a pretty farmhouse surrounded by rural area, as it is said in the description. I was impressed by the transformation of a normal farmhouse in such a cosy home. The room was nice, everything was clean. We could use the kitchen and all their equipment. I can definitely recommend Suzy’s place and I would love to come back! Thanks again Suzy, for your hospitality and the apple puree, it tastes amazing :)

    Rosa2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for five nights and loved the time at the farm and around. It was perfect for our get away. The house is charming with character. We cooked and ate in most days. Suzy and her family were very helpful and accommodating. There was much to explore around. The fresh milk was a big bonus.

  • Patrick’s place is perfect- cute, cozy, and stylish, not to mention that it is so close to downtown!

    Ellie2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a terrific experience staying in Patrick’s lovely, well-equipped and exceptionally convenient place! All communications with Patrick from initial inquiry, to check-in (by easy, convenient and safe lockbox) to check-out were clear and quick. The place was spotless, comfortable and walking distance to everything you would want or need in the beautiful village of Middlebury. We had thought it might be a bit noisy on a major thoroughfare in town but, in fact, it was very quiet. Thoughtful touches were everywhere in the house, from good task and overhead lighting, to lots of hooks to hang towels and such, to ample toiletries and a well supplied kitchen with complimentary coffee and tea. The beds were very comfortable and the back porch was delightful and offers an awesome sunset view over the village. All in all, our stay was perfect and we hope to return soon!

  • Alden is a warm and hospitable host. The farm is gorgeous, the house homey, and the bedroom spacious and clean. It was a great spot right outside of Vergennes for our trip through Vermont.

    Hilary2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely experience. Alden was very welcoming. He was always asking if he could do something more for us.

    Julie2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Alden was a wonderful host. An absolutely breathtaking area, a stone's-throw from Vermont's top spots. A great value!

    Aj2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The room(s) available are very spacious, clean and upstairs which allows for privacy.. Access to common space like kitchen and living room is available. Alden is prompt with communication and I would recommend this spot.

    James2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful friendly host, very responsive, comfortable farmhouse and we bought some of his farmers' market products that he sells in Middlebury. Easy 15 min drive from town. Really a great place to stay

    Liz2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Alden's Harwood Farm is a comfortable, quiet , relaxing spot. Since it's located near Dead Creek WMA, and lots of open land , there's ample opportunity for biking, hiking, and birding, as well as other outdoor activities. Good restaurants are within short driving distance. The room is large and well appointed, as is the rest of the house. Alden is a fascinating character who is most welcoming. The essence of Vermont! It was really a joy to stay there.

    Russell2018-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Alden's setup at the Harwood farm is perfect for visitors to Middlebury. It is about a 15 minute drive, at the most, from the campus. Alden is a welcoming host who grows his own tomatoes and keeps bees and makes honey. The smell of the hay on the farm is my kind of perfume. We were honored to be his first ever AirBNB guests. We will be back.

  • We were in town for a ski race nearby and only stayed one night, but were ever so happy to have found Tracy's! Tracy was always quick to respond to any question I had. The whole apartment was extremely clean, very private and quiet, so comfortable , well appointed with high end furniture, linens ,bath towels and toiletries, essentials like complimentary water bottles, a couple of beers in the fridge, milk, half and half, granola etc.. If we are back in Middlebury next year, we would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great stay Tracy!

  • A terrific spot just minutes from MIDD. I had a comfortable stay in a place that felt like home but I was a guest. Beautiful views, excellent extras, thoughtful space.

    Caroline2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, everything is more than perfect. Would definitely stay again on another skiing trip.

    Christian2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is extra special. The space is lovely, very clean, extremely comfortable and filled with warm homey touches. We were able to get in easily from the private entrance into the suite and immediately felt at home. The location is convenient and the hosts provided great information about the many activities (hiking, restaurants, local entertainment) so that we were able to make the most of our quick visit to the area. It is a 5 minute ride to Middlebury College where we saw a hockey game in their new arena. We hiked the TAM (Trail around Middlebury) directly from the house and went to a great pub/restaurant for dinner suggested by the hosts. In addition to many personal touches, the host had the bar nook well stocked; even homemade granola bars that my son loved. You will never regret choosing Tracy's place to stay and your expectations will be surpassed with all the thoughtful details.

The host even had a bottle of wine and chocolate for us. His attention to detail made this place a memorable stay. I will definitely be back.

  • As all reviewers say...fantastic stay. Great communication. Awesome place, perfect for hubby, myself, and our pup (who also loved it there!). Wine and chocolate, mmm! The local chocolate they left us was so good, we ended up stopping at the business to buy some. Very clean, very comfortable. Easily one of the top AirBnB's we've stayed at, and there've been a few. Hope so much to come back!

We had a great stay for a short weekend.

Lovely newly renovated guest suite with private entrance and private new bathroom with custom soapstone shower at one end of our 1860s farmhouse. Just 6 miles from Middlebury College. Spectacular views of the Adirondack high peaks. Great walking and biking. First floor. Perfect for couple or single person. Extra mattress for floor if traveling with an extra person. Lifelong Vermont hosts are happy to suggest outings, attractions and activities. In-room Kuerig with coffee/tea/cocoa and snacks.
  • The perfect place to stay if visiting Middlebury College. Peter and Mary's is clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Highly recommend.

  • This place was a little gem. I was there for a visit with my son in Bridport. The location was great... close to Middlebury (for activities) and Bridport (my sons farm). The little touches and friendly hospitality was spot on. Great place for the price! Will certainly be back.

    Michelle2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here with our two little ones and it was great. The space is in a separate part of the house with its own entrance so it’s quite private. It’s clean, well equipped (coffee machine, fridge, etc.) and we particularly liked local items provided, a real treat! Peter was great to communicate with prior to arrival and nice to chat with while there. We would come again!

  • You can expect a warm welcome, kind and friendly hosts and a great setting.

  • What a gem! This was one of my best Airbnb experiences (and I’ve stayed at 20+ locations). Everything was simply lovely. It’s really like having your own place. I was very appreciative of the snacks and coffee Peter provided. The view from the back patio is absolutely stunning. Very comfortable bed. Wonderful experience!

    Katherine2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit at Peter and Mary's. The first time we came for the bicycling. The second was for more bicycling and the warm hospitality of our hosts. Our room was so comfortable, the back deck inviting, and the snacks! My husband and I have stayed at many Airbnbs and this is one of the best!

    Candace2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place that is not to be missed! The room itself is spacious, as is the adjoining bathroom. The view out the back of the house looks out over farm fields, and mountains, and the sunsets are breathtaking. Check-in is very easy. A variety of snacks and breakfast items are provided in the small fridge. I will definitely be returning here again!

    Susan2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you are doing anything around this area. I highly recommend you stay at this place. You get a very private room with an absolutely fantastic bathroom. You also are free to hang on the deck and wonder the place. A little hint. There is very little light pollution and the night sky is wonderful. The host provided some breakfast items (granola, yogurt, cheese, crackers, juice and milk). Plenty of coffee and tea. the room was very clean and they even had some board games you could play. This is one of the best Airbnb's I stayed at. The family was also very friendly. Again if you are doing anything in Vermont you should stay here!

Come, relax in our spacious Victorian Home and lush backyard located a short 2 minute walk to all restaurants, taverns, galleries and all that our vibrant town has to offer. We have free on site parking and no cleaning fee! Vergennes is situated in the heart of Lake Champlain Valley, just 10 minutes from Basin Harbor Country Club, 15 minutes from Middlebury, and 30 minutes from Burlington. If you would like a full country breakfast ($7.50 per person) ask the host One of 6 rooms available!
Enter our home and take in the foyer, large living room and dining room. All rooms are spacious with high ceilings, large windows, and original wood floors. "The Meadow Room" is ideal for a couple or one person. It faces our back yard and has a Queen sized bed and air conditioning. It has a 39" Roku TV that includes cable and free Netflix etc. The room shares the hallway bathroom which is located right next door.
We are located amongst other beautiful Historic homes ideally situated within a very short and easy walk to the town green. There you can explore the beautiful Bixby library, the Vergennes Opera House (where one of your hosts Bill is well known for his performances there), our excellent antique shops, our art galleries, jewelry shops, and , fine clothing and thrift stores. A further walk will bring you to Otter Creek where you can view the power and beauty of the waterfall that was responsible for the industrial growth in this area in the late 1800's. Once you have done your tour, grab a bite to eat or have a drink in one of our restaurants, all reknowned for their ambiance and stellar food. You may want to take and evening swim in our neighborhood pool or perhaps grab a concert on the Green before walking back to your "home away from home". Our home is a popular choice for bicyclists, who love to ride miles and miles on the Champlain bikeway. It is at our door steps. They will spend a few days, and pick different routes each day. After a day of exploring, we like to have lemon water and watermelon ready so they can come back and relax and enjoy the peaceful sunset view from our backyard. Also, depending on where they are coming from, they do not need to drive at all during their stay.
  • Highly recommend this place for your stay. The host was super nice and the place felt like home. Super clean and perfect for being close to town.

  • Staying at Meadow House with Bill and Sue was truly incredible. They are so genuine and kind and can give local tips. Vergennes is a quaint and cute town and is only a 30 minute drive to Burlington city center. They were very inviting, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and their backyard was such a peaceful place to unwind. I would 100% recommend this BnB for your stay if you don't mind a short drive to wherever you are visiting. We will stay here again!

  • Lovely inn right on the main drag in town. Great hosts with tips about things to do in town, great communication, and a charming house. Would definitely go back.

    Justin2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • My room was comfortable and quiet, looking out to the side yard. There was only one other room using the hall bath so it was always available. So easy to walk down Main Street for dinner and ice cream. In the evening met another guest and we sat talking in the welcoming living room.

    Judi2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Meadow room was beautiful, cozy and right around the corner from a shared bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfy. There is a common living room space with musical instruments and books galore. We were getting in a bit late so asked for local restaurant suggestions. Bill was great communicating as a whole and got right back to us with suggestions. Definitely take advantage of their breakfast! It’s delicious and you have a beautiful view of their back yard.

    Kate2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, ideally located in downtown Vergennes. Bill was a very kind host and was accomodative to our arrival time.

  • Second stay here, as great as the first time! Great location in the center of town, friendly host, and beautiful inn.

Located on quiet country setting five minutes from a variety of shopping, restaurants, and Middlebury College. Less than an hour from Burlington airport. We live on the first floor with our two friendly dogs and one cat. Tim is a graduate of Middlebury College and we love having parents and graduates stay with us as well as "leafers", skiers, and outdoors folks!
Your outside entrance to the staircase leading to the guest space is accessed from our front porch (see photo) where you might want to have a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon cocktail. There is a second bedroom adjacent with two twin beds to accommodate one or two young children.
Fifteen minutes from Middlebury College Snow Bowl, Rickert Nordic Center and beautiful Lake Dunmore. Great hiking on Snake Mountain and nearby Abby Pond. Numerous fly-fishing opportunities. This is also a very popular area for bike tours and leaf peepers.
  • Clean, comfortable, quiet and private. Excellent place to stay.

  • Tim and his wife have converted the upstairs of their beautiful country home into such a comfortable sunny BnB. It was immaculate with great personal touches, from magazines to artwork. We appreciated the private entry, spacious private bathroom, and thoughtful breakfast items. It was fun to chat with the hosts about the area's history. We will stay again if in the area and will definitely reccomend it to friends.

The Airbnb is an in-laws apartment. You will have your own private space and private entrance. Located on a quiet street on the outskirts of Middlebury, we have convenient access to US Route 7. You are in the country, but with quick access to everything in Middlebury. The Airbnb includes a bedroom (queen size bed), a living room/dining area (pull out sofa), and a small food prep space with a fridge/freezer, microwave, and hot water kettle. Air Conditioning is provided.
Private apartment separate from the main house. It has a bedroom, 3/4 bathroom, living room/dining area, and a kitchenette.
Nestled between the town of Middlebury and the foothills of the Green Mountains. This is certainly not a lively neighborhood, but it is great if you are looking for that "in the country" feel.
  • We were in town for the weekend to watch some college hockey games at Middlebury. The location is perfect - just a few miles or a 5 minute drive to everything. The space is extremely clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the milk, coffee, tea, and small snacks that were waiting for us. The sunlight coming into the apartment is beautiful and it was a great way to wake up in the morning - although it was difficult to get out of the comfortable bed. Communication was excellent. We highly recommend this space and would absolutely stay again.

  • What a great place to stay. Super convenient to downtown Middlebury but in a very quiet and peaceful location. The apartment was super clean, very private and very comfortable, especially the bed. The loaf of homemade bread and beverages in the refrigerator were also a nice touch. Communication with Miles was great - he was very prompt in responding to my questions.

  • Elizabeth's place is a real jewel -- quiet, beautiful space and terrific location! Highest recommendations.

    Gretel2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Elizabeth and Larry's lovely home. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and charmingly decorated; the location and amenities are excellent; and the property and surrounding area are gorgeous. This accommodation was perfect for a one-night stopover, and would be equally well suited to an extended stay, with all the peace and privacy you could ask for. The self-check-in was a breeze, and Larry's communication was prompt and thorough. I would definitely stay there again.
