Pura Playa - Private Pool,Cart & Dogs ok!

ElijahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Beautiful home, golf cart is a major bonus. Pool was a great hit with the kids, warmer for the pool works wonderfully as well. Lots of beach/pool toys in the garage to use. Having a washer and dryer at the home was huge for us. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an “at home” feel, but at the same time feel like you’re on a paradise vacation.

I've stayed here 3 times already and it feels like our home away from home. We love this place, perfect for families. Well stocked. responsive host. We had an issue with the stove and he sent his nephew who was incredibly sweet and great at fixing the issue. We love this spot and look forward to staying again.

The Surfin’ Dog

ReubenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The surfin dog was a great choice for our family get together. Quiet cul de sac setting with sidewalks for walking the neighborhood as well as ample off street parking. The covered area was great for sitting and setting up a hammock. The beds were clean, comfortable, and the bathroom was adequate. TV and internet was great when we stayed indoors, mostly because the AC was working awesome! Great, responsive, and accommodating host!!

We had a great stay at Melissa's place. She allowed us to bring out dog which was a huge plus. The house is super close to the beach.... you could walk to it (but we ended up driving). Place was nice, with a nice yard. Definitely will be coming back next time I am in Corpus Christi.

My husband, myself and son just stayed there for several days. There was a couple of issues due to a severe thunderstorm. The hosts were very helpful and responded quickly to the issues. The house is beautiful and the yard is so well maintained and peaceful. The beds are very comfortable. This is a one story house which is a big plus for me. Every part of this place is immaculate! I love this house and hopefully can stay in it anytime we visit again.

What A View 502 | Penthouse Awesome Ocean Views

AshleyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Absolutely amazing stay! I can’t wait to go back if I get the chance. For me, the currently quiet location, winter visit, was just what the doctor ordered. I loved being able to walk right out to the beach at any time. The condo itself was just as pictured, probably better, super clean and welcoming. The views are the selling point here. I just couldn’t get enough of them. Being able to open the living room sliding doors to hear and see the waves crashing was the highlight of my stay. While the building is older, this unit is just stunning and fresh. I cooked every meal in the kitchen and found it clean, well organized and stocked. The only 2 issues I encountered were with the water pressure and temperature. At times it was a bit low and took a while to heat up. But it was really not a big deal. I did not use the hot tub or pool but heard others say the hot tub was nice in the cold weather. Both looked very clean.

Coral Cay Ocean Front/ Ocean View 2 bed/2 bath

LizzieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Love staying at Patty's place in Port A! We have come every year for the past 5 years, and it's always lovely. Awesome balcony that overlooks the sand dunes and has a view of the ocean and sunrise (and is shaded from afternoon sun). Very close to the boardwalk to the beach and the pool is right outside the condo as well. A/C works great, beds are comfy, kitchen is pretty well stocked with dishes. It's on the 2nd floor, so there is 1 set of stairs that's required. Might not be great for those with mobility struggles, as there is no elevator. Highly recommend!

This was an absolutely beautiful home on a beautiful location. Mark the host is fantastic. After a long journey from Colorado to a terrible b and b mark allowed us to book, literally an hour before we arrived and made every accommodation. The one time i needed to call he was very quick to respond and handle the situation. ( ac in the unit) the condo is just as described and the beach view was amazing. We went during the week and was not very crowded. Everything was clean and well maintained. Would definitely book this again.

A tropical resort like atmosphere in North Padre Island. My sister and I stayed here for one night 6/2 and it’s truly a magical place. I want to give a shout out to Victor the maintenance man and overseer of the property. He rides around in his golf cart checking on the property and ready to assist with any needs that arise. I brought to his attention a foul smell coming for somewhere near our condo and we told him and he got right on it and had people working on it in a few hours. Apparently an animal may have died under one of the boards near by our condo. Not their fault but Victor knew how important it was and didn’t hesitate to take care of it so we could have a pleasant stay. Claudia and another lady at the front desk, sorry didn’t catch her name, are very hospitable and kind and ready to assist and were ready to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The staff all around goes above and beyond. The cleaning crew is great too! You all do an a

Your guide to Port Aransas

Introduction

Charming and laid-back, Port Aransas is the only town on Mustang Island, one of the seven barrier islands along the Texas Gulf Coast. In the 19th century, pirates frequented its shores, and legend has it that there’s buried treasure somewhere on the island. But these days, “Port A” is a beloved beach getaway because of its 18 miles of uninterrupted shoreline, great fishing, coastal wildlife including migratory birds and dolphins, and plentiful outdoor activities, such as surfing, parasailing, paddle-boarding, and even skydiving. In town, browse boutique shops and galleries, and after the sun goes down, you can usually find live music at its rollicking beachfront bars and clubs.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Port Aransas

The subtropical climate in Port Aransas means you can expect nice weather for most of the year. Summers are long, hot, and fairly humid, with temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so don’t forget to pack sunscreen and bug repellent. Like many destinations in this region, summer is hurricane season here, so keep that in mind when booking one of the area’s vacation rentals. Winters are milder, with average temperatures in the 60s and lows in the 50s; the water, which is normally wonderfully warm, gets chilly in December and January.

Top things to do in Port Aransas

San Jose Island

Just north of Port Aransas, San Jose Island, a barrier island 21 miles long and 5 miles wide, is one of the best shelling spots around. It’s privately owned and closed to vehicles, but the public can access the many miles of beautiful, quiet beach by ferry. Due to nearby shipwrecks, it’s also become a destination for treasure hunters who regularly discover artifacts dating back centuries. You can also spend an afternoon fishing in the surf or collecting sand dollars and lightning whelks along the waterline.

Fishing

Port A is a world-class destination for fishing, and hosts several tournaments each year. In the late 19th century, the town was even briefly named after the tarpon that were caught en masse here at the time. Buy a license to cast your own line; you can charter a boat, or head to Roberts Point Park, the South Jetty, or Horace Caldwell Pier, where local anglers regularly haul in sharks.

Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center

Located in the Central Flyway, the tidal flats, marshes, and shoreline of Mustang Island host hundreds of native and migrating birds. The Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center features a 700-foot boardwalk and observation tower, from which visitors can spot songbirds, wading birds, waterfowl, and even the occasional alligator.
