Shepherds hut vacation rentals in River Tamar

Just got back from a lovely 2 day stay at The Shepherds Hut. My first Airbnb experience was so positive. Would definitely stay there again. Stunning location and 2 minutes walk to the beach. The hut is cosy but has all you need for a short stay. Parking on site is secure on a driveway behind a gate. Thank you Meg ☺️

we had a lovely break at the foxes den shepherds hut . The views are amazing and the area is beautiful . everything was as explained by Viki and it couldn't have ran any smoother. Our Shepherds Hut was Very Clean and beautifully decorated and the Easter Eggs were a lovely touch. We will certainly be back and would reccomend to anyone who wishes to explore the beautiful Devon countryside and Coast line.

We had the best time here! Penny and Ant were so welcoming and kind. They gave us maps and recommended nice walks in the area which was so helpful. The shepherds hut itself was perfect, really cosy with the wood fire stove and great selection of games. It has everything you need, nice hot shower and Penny provides delicious breakfast food and scones. Such a special place, can’t recommend enough!

This is a unique place.. you have to like wild and back to basics.. I stayed in the circus trailer. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was worried at first at the slightly tired appearance. But once the fire was lit, the fairy lights were on it was perfect. The most comfortable bed with the greatest view from it. Tea making facility and somewhere to charge my phone. Toilet and shower block were spotless, the shared kitchen and use of fridge and cookers was great. Fire pit and wood supplied and it was the most amazing dark space. The view of the stars, ISS and starlink were the best I’ve ever seen. I stayed here so I could walk the SWCP and it’s a 15-20 min walk to Polperro from the site so it was perfect. I would stay here again. This is definitely a wild, back to basics place to stay but I loved it. Matt was super helpful and responded quickly to any questions.

The most stunning stay at Ross and Becky’s property, the views and location is second to none and the facilities and comfort of the hut is beyond our expectations. We stayed as a group of four adult women and the space was more than adequate. I can’t wait to return.

Perfect overnight stay whilst walking the coast path. Nicola had thought about every little detail so we felt really comfortable and well looked after. Would highly recommend!

Our weekend stay, was really lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our brownies (Thank you again for them) the location was very scenic, definitely ticked all the boxes. Amy, was really accommodating from check-in to our check-out. We really enjoyed the offer of the hot tub and fire pit too. We will be looking at coming back again in the near future.

Perfect stay! Beautiful Location& the hut was gorgeous. It had everything we needed and was a lovely relaxing place to be. Georgie was really communicative & welcoming. Lots of great local recommendations. We did the trip without a car, it was manageable by hiking & taking taxis but would have been easier with a car.

Stunning location, wildlife everywhere, peaceful & private. We had a visiting deer on the evenings which was brilliant. The woodland near to hut was easy to access & made for a great evening walk, having a fire in the evenings was fun & great for star gazing :) hopefully we will be returning again this summer, thank you Jan :)

We arrived late afternoon and found the key in the door ready for us to let ourselves in. We met Francoise who was very welcoming. Later we decided to BBQ and the little Sheppard’s hut had everything we needed to make dinner. The little log burner kept us warm and cozy. In the morning we had the fresh eggs left for us for breakfast. Overall, a nice peaceful stay. Many thanks.

What a lovely place to visit and stay, everything was so clean and tidy! The hut was perfect for a nice little getaway! And the dog absolutely loved the forrest and surrounding areas! Will definitely be staying there again on our next visit to Devon! Thank you!

Had a lovely 2 night stay in Dennis Hut! Everything was as described. Beautiful, peaceful location. Yummy cakes on arrival! We stayed here and spent the days travelling around various areas of Cornwall. Wouldn’t recommend Lanivet as a holiday destination but Abbie’s place was gorgeous and I highly recommend a getaway there! So many nice seaside towns around a 30 min drive away. We were lucky to have beautiful weather all weekend, so could enjoy sitting outside the hut in the mornings and evenings, but even with poor weather I think this would be a really lovely place to switch off a bit and enjoy yourself. The hut was clean and tidy, Abbie was easy to get hold of and gave us lots of great recommendations. Huge plus that it’s dog friendly as my little girl loved being able to explore the surrounding woodlands. Thank you so much!

Lovely shepherd's hut just a stones throw from Harlyn Beach and the PIG (which is why we booked it). The property is small but has everything you need for a cosy night's stay, including a welcome selection of teabags and coffee pods!

A great get away that was easy to find. With fantastic views and an extremely peaceful area surrounded by farmland. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

We absolutely loved our 4 day stay at the Little Charred Hut, the location is idyllic right in the middle of the woods, near to a babbling brook, it's completely private with no neighbours or passing traffic, just the sound of the birds! The Hut itself has everything you need, it's very cosy with an extensive verandah (with 2 comfy rocking chairs) giving a feel of more sheltered space, which was great as the weather wasn't perfect the whole time. The surrounding area is so beautiful, and an easy drive away from so many beautiful places to explore. We'd highly recommend this gorgeous little place for an intimate stay in the midst of nature.

Fab hidden gem, very peaceful and private location- a lovely getaway from the stresses of daily life. The hut itself is so cosy and well decorated, we loved the hot tub and fire pit. We got the cream tea and s’mores kit as an extra and both were delicious- highly recommend. Jeni was a responsive and helpful host, and also decorated the hut for my partners birthday, which was such a lovely touch. We would love to come back again.

We really enjoyed our weeks stay here, it had everything and more! Beautiful location, every place Danielle recommended was perfect! So peaceful and relaxing, had everything you needed. Danielle was amazing as well, really attentive and nothing was too much, great recommendations too. Perfect place for the dog too he really enjoyed it!
