Home from home cottage with everything you need surrounded by beautiful countryside. My grandchildren loved meeting the animals, which added to our holiday experience. Piers and Sue were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Super few days in the sunshine.

Great value for a lovely quiet retreat for the weekend, easy to get around the North Cornish coast from the location. Accomodation was spotless and very comfortable, would happily stay again as it offered all we need.

Had a lovely stay here with the family! House was a little tricky to find, but once we found it it was easy to get inside and the property itself is very impressive! Beautiful area to explore, we really appreciated the clear instructions and photos directing us to the best walks, and the delicious lemon drizzle cake waiting in the fridge on our arrival was an added bonus! Thank you very much :)

We had a gorgeous stay at Shuttaford Farm. There are so many lovely touches in the barn that you feel right at home, but it all feels very special and thoughtful. Fran was a terrific host - responsive and friendly, and even leant me a spare pair of walking boots when I realised I’d left mine at home! The surrounding area is just stunning - highly recommend a walk through Hembury Woods. Highly recommended for a family trip.

A wonderful peaceful place which felt like a retreat. The owners were friendly and being able to join in with feeding the animals in the morning was great (not just for children). Sauna and hot tub was great. They would check what time we wanted it put on which was considerate. Was a surprise weekend for our mum and was even better than expected. Thank you for the stay x

Lovely few days with friends. Cosy with the Aga and wood burners and great walk down to Crackington Haven.

A really lovely week, marred only by a couple of days' rain (which of course was nobody's fault!). Taryn was extremely efficient and responsive. Barbara was charming and helpful, and explained so much about the lambing process. The house was roomy - great for a family party of nine. My granddaughter loved visiting the lambs, and even holding a newly-born lamb in her arms. Wonderful rolling hill farmland to walk the dog. Visits to the sea, Exeter and Totnes were great too. Honestly the best stay we've had ever! So relaxing, the Cabin is amazing- everything you need in the most amazing and peaceful spot, all we could hear was birdsong and Sheep. The animals are an absolute bonus and we loved getting to know them! Sitting out on the veranda with a cup of tea and the sun shining was pure bliss. Andy and Sam are amazing hosts; so welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond. We didn't want to leave and are already planning our next visit. 😍 Thank you!

We enjoyed our visit to Mill farm. Nice views and very peaceful. Loved the accommodation and the bed was so comfortable. Our children played with Derrys 4 girls and we felt very welcome. Thank you

Great place overall.... Hosts were very friendly and got the balance between privacy and being helpful just right. The hut had everything you needed and was clean and fresh on arrival with some really nice little touches such as bread, juice and butter all locally sourced for breakfast, the wood and blankets for the outside fire and decent WiFi with a smart TV for evening entertainment. We used the hut as a stop off between St Ives and the Eden Project the following morning. Great location for this. Beautiful location and great hosts!!!

A beautiful part of Devon, easy access to Cornwall and the North Cornish coast, quite nice being next to the farm with all of the animals, very little light pollution meaning you can take nice nightscape photos if you desire, there is a nice walk directly from the house to a nearby village… thank you

Lovely cabin set in a beautiful surrounding. Clive greeted us with instructions and gave us some suggestions of places the eat/visit which was really helpful. Loved the wood fire hot tub, even in the rain. The cabin was set in a very private peaceful area which was lovely and so relaxing, just what we needed. Thank you Clive and Cassie.

Absolutely beautiful location. Very tasteful decor. So cosy and weather tight ( we had very strong winds & torrential rain but we were safe & cosy in the cabin). Stunning views and perfect for a walk to Bantham & lunch in the sloop inn! We definitely will return

What can I say. Applejacks is an absolute dream of a place to stay. The design of the place and every detail is just beautiful. The mass of open outdoor space, with your own stream and small paddling pond. Sit next to the pond and listen to the stream on the wooden swing seat. Take a walk through the fields, across the bridge and go seek out the lake, where you will find the 3 resident ducks. Enjoy chilling out in the hot tubA short walk to the local shops. Inside the cabin is everything you need. The Sonos music system in the ceiling is just amazing. A portable Bose speaker for outside too. A fridge, a freezer, dishwasher....you name it....they have thought of it. Did we miss not having a T.V.....not at all. The hosts are incredible and we will definitely be back.

A beautiful place to stay. Stunning beams in the bedroom, very well restored, spotless modern bathroom with infa red sauna and electric shower. Lots of wildlife can be heard at night. Fantastic wood burner with under floor heating downstairs. Easy walk to Exford. Great village shop with all you need and 2 pubs. We drove to Withypool and walked to Tarr Steps which was an 8 mile round trip but a great excursion in glorious late February sunshine. Lovely view from the garden at the pub at Tarr Steps and the food was good too. We love Exmoor as it is an unspoilt gem with so much peace and nature to surround yourself in. Everyone you meet is friendly which also helps. Photos of this place do not do it justice!

Don't hesitate to book here! Barbara is a perfect host. She is responsive, with clear, concise, and friendly communication. Once you're there, she's there if you need her, but will leave you too it otherwise. The home is clean and cosy. It's in a cluster of farm homes, in the middle of a lovely farm. Unspoiled country views from your private garden. There's public byways immediately outside the home (both are across active farmland, leads are needed!). Barbara very thoughtfully had a bowl of clean water waiting for my dog inside, and cream scones for me. The supplied waterproofs came in handy. There's plenty of household supplies to last during your stay, and you'll have all the usual cooking utensils. The location is perfect if you want to explore all of Cornwall - it's central and within a stones throw of the A30. You're no more than an hour from anywhere in Cornwall. Its near a large town with plenty of food/shops.

Wonderful, clean and spacious cottage. Quiet area. For us, Dutch, the country lane to access the cottage was a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless, great location for sightseeing.

The property was stunning and the location was beautiful. Tracy was a wonderful host who took the time to greet us - even baking a delicious Victoria Sponge! She took the time to give us a tour of the property and explained where everything was which was incredibly helpful. There are a vast amount of games and leisure activities on site for all ages. Some of the adults even had a table tennis competition. There was ample space for everyone. We all loved staying for the weekend - 8 adults and a baby & toddler & we had family come and see us at the property as well. It Hank you Tracy for being such a lovely host.

Such a beautiful spot, so peaceful and remote yet within easy distances of some great places. The hot tub was a big hit with our 3 year old. Absolutely loved it. Thank you

Wonderful stay for 4 nights in the Nest Barn. Loved the private hot tub, coffee machine and the information provided by Lucia about the local area was useful including the walk into Torcross/Slapton. The location is ideal, it is easy to great around to other areas of South Devon by either driving or using the bus services. Lucia was a great host, friendly and helpful and we would recommend others to stay as we would revisit - thank you Lucia!

Thank you for a lovely stay. Lovely accomodation in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We enjoyed walks around the farm and we were joined by one of the hosts dogs a couple of times which we loved. We even managed to see an otter down at the river on our first night! Bird and hedgehog watching from the hot tub with a glass of bubbly… bliss.

Michael and Caroline’s B&B is just fantastic and so are these two wonderful people! If you plan on visiting the moors and the Dartmoor region look no further, this is the place to be! The cottage is even better than on the photos. We absolutely loved it!
