Guesthouse vacation rentals in Potomac River

An extremely welcoming place that had many things to do and accommodating our autistic children very well! It was a shame we didn't get the chance to make s'mores! We would love to come back to this place sometime since it is so peaceful and homey! We watched older movies that we forgot about! Thanks for the DVDs!

The cottage was lovely and located in a great neighborhood. Lovely furniture and very clean. Price lives next to the cottage and was available to answer our questions. Very dog friendly too. We would return any time.

This was a wonderful stay for us with our granddaughter and our two large dogs. Our granddaughter was able to pet the horses which she loved and our dogs loved to explore the surroundings on leash but really loved the fenced in field where they were able to run. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped and the scenery was gorgeous. We were there to visit Gettysburg which was only a short drive so we were able to leave the dogs for a while and still go back to walk/feed them and go out again. Steve was very friendly, greeted us when we arrived and was very responsive to our questions.

This location is definitely understated from the photos. We absolutely loved our stay & if in the area again, we would want to stay here again. Absolutely stunning surroundings & beautiful apartment. We were almost sad to leave!

We spent two nights at David’s place and it was a wonderful place to come back to after a long hike. The cottage was clean and cozy, but the one of the highlights of our trip was watching the sunset on the patio. The property is spectacular! Also bonus points for the mini muffins! Thank you for a great stay!

This place was our best choice even before we realized there would be a freshly-prepared, multi-course gourmet breakfast. House is as advertised, clean, and well-located. Scott and Lisa are friendly, responsive, and fantastic cooks. Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I came out here looking for a place to disconnect and Heartrock was the perfect place! Greg gave us a great hiking recommendation to Fortune’s Cove and Kim was so helpful and responsive. The place was so nice and the scenery was lovely. Bilbo the cat was even more friendly than we imagined and we enjoyed hanging with him. We did prep our own breakfast and dinner before arriving just due to the smaller kitchen but it had everything we needed. We took a stroll around the property and it was lovely. The water pressure here is also great. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back.

Beautiful home and a beautiful location. It was a relaxing environment with very accommodating host. Felt comfortable and would stay again.

I mean, what an INCREDIBLE location! This was our very first time visiting this breathtaking area and the cottage at Brad and David’s was the most quaint little place to stay! Price was absolutely fair and was perfect for my husband and I! My ONE thing to mention- is I think the mattress and pillows are past the best parts of their lives and could stand to be replaced… it appears the mattress is a spring mattress, and on a metal bed frame was far from comfortable and the pillows are on the flat side… BUT- don’t let that stop you from visiting this wonderful cottage for your colonial area trip!

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay, the screened in porch was a beautiful place to watch the sunset overlooking the farm animals. The place was spotless and so cozy and comfortable. We would love to visit again, thank you so much for sharing your home.

Kaitlyn and I really enjoyed our stay. Within hours of arrival, we decided to extend our stay. Next year, when we return to the area, we look forward to staying again! The loft, the property, and the community were absolutely charming, and perfect for exploring, picnics, and flying kites. Everything was cozy and beautiful. Love love love this place! So cute, clean and private. We stayed here while visiting family in elkton, and it was perfect location! Close to most. It was a little chilly for the pool but the pool was very nice and clean! Katelyn was very attentive, and even left us a cute note on the kitchen table welcoming us to her beautiful place. 10000000/10! Will definitely book again very soon!

Perfect little house atop garage. Impressively neat and clean. Good instructions and local recommendations. Good location from which to visit Montpellier, small communities and the countryside of the Shenandoah and Blue Ridge area.

Would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you will be visiting Shenandoah National Park! It is in a great location to the National Park among many other hikes and things to do in the area. Everything was exactly like the pictures and the place was beautiful, inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed the sauna and hot tub, especially after a full day of hiking. The bed was also extremely comfortable. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. We would love to stay here again once we are back in the area!

Donald's place was great! Even better than advertised. We were a party of 5 attending an Annapolis graduation, and we couldn't have been more satisfied. Our hosts Donald and Julie were fantastic! Its a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with free beach. We highly recommend it!

We had an excellent time and the renters were approachable and wonderful hosts. We would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat!

This was our first time to the area. My best friend was getting married at Bluemont Winery. Everything was as expected at the guest house. We loved our stay. We got to meet Bob and chat some. We did some hiking close by and saw the beautiful overlook. We had a tour all day Saturday of the wineries with a large group from the wedding. Brunch on Sunday at The Local. We even met Zena, one of the dogs, who was very friendly. We would definetly stay again. Thank you Nancy and Bob

The views were stunning, the house was gorgeous, and the hosts are incredibly friendly. It is apparent how much they care about their guests and how much they care for their property. We felt welcomed from the beginning. The dogs were friendly and fun. The house had a wonderful attention to detail, with emphasis on the stunning paintings (most of which were painted by Marjorie herself). Very grateful for our time spent here. We loved it and we will definitely be back!

The place was nice and so was the host. We had good time but there were few things I didn’t know which was in Bedford country 15 min from there didn’t sell beer at local shops. Another thing was Walmart didn’t have grocery only other thing product. The owner lives next door. Other than that we had a great time it was a good place very clean and friendly host.

We love this place! It was our sixth visit and every time we have stopped here, it has been just right.

A beautiful peaceful setting with lots of wildlife around. Christina was always very responsive whenever I asked a question or needed something. a great place to stay near to family to celebrate Thanksgiving.
