Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Portsmouth

The Cottage was perfect as a place for us to crash and relax before a crazy weekend wedding in Arlington. The house was decorated with interesting prints and so many books! Though the weather was not ideal, the deck with its views looked amazing. My wife decided that we would try to stay here whenever we come to the Boston area. Minutes from Winchester and the T and the quaint restaurants and coffee shops. We love it.

We really enjoyed our stay at William and Marianne's home while in town for a sports tournament. We were very impressed with the house. It was clean, cozy, and elegant, with good quality furniture, comfortable couch, beds, mattresses, etc. The kitchen was lovely and had everything we needed to make breakfast at home, including pots and pans, toaster, and a wonderful coffee bar. There were a couple of electric fireplaces (one in the living room and one in the master bedroom), and nice smart lights in a few places, which my son liked a lot. It is located in a residential, historical neighborhood, not far from the highway. There is a nice restaurant a short walk away. The hosts live next door and were very friendly when we ran into each other.

We had a great stay at Julie’s beautiful home. Her home was even nicer than the pictures. Great kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Open layout so we can all converse no matter what we were doing. Beds were comfortable. But the outside stole the show. The upper deck was spacious and had great views. The hot tub was just what we needed. Then you walk down to the dock and there is enough space for everyone to lay out. Lots of kayaks and paddle boat. Had fun exploring and fishing the lake. Perfect home for families to come together and catch up!! Oh, and the lower level was perfect with ping pong, foosball and tv for late night fun!! Would recommend to anyone wanting to be in the lake region of NH.

This is a very unique property, well-designed and maintained, and in a private location with quick walking access to Hampton Beach and the boardwalk. We will stay again if it is available. Five Star experience!

The host was very accommodating with any type of situation related to our questions and concerns. The owner was engaged with us for our entire stay and did whatever she could to make the experience as comfortable as possible. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone who expects a courteous and respectful environment for the whole family!

Aside from being aboard a houseboat, you simply couldn’t be more connected to the powerful beauty of the ocean than being nestled within York on the Rocks! With its simple ship like design sitting atop a sprawling beach of tumbled sea stones, this gem of a seaside home surpassed our expectations. Tidily appointed and thoughtfully designed this spotless home offered a perfect retreat for our party of 6. With front row seats for watching breathtaking sunrises stretch across the horizon, moonrises that stole the show from the steady pulse of the surrounding lighthouses, and the continual tidal shifts, York on the Rocks offered the ultimate oceanfront show. The small kitchen was nicely outfitted & fully enjoyed for all meals, while the open design provided a haven for both reading & games. An evening fire out on the beach was a rare treat! Roberta was an outstanding host allowing us to check in early, providing thoughtful welcome gifts & exceptional communication. We’d love to return!

An absolute gem! Incredible house in a gorgeous location… an ideal retreat!! Enjoyed a 5 day family reunion here and it was perfect…. Could spend time catching up, laughing with each other in common areas or while at other times, each could enjoy time in their own space. So many areas to use together or separately and so much to do on the property, or just a short drive to sights, amenities and shopping. Could easily have stayed longer and this would be fantastic for a couples getaway or a family vacation! Jason and Yvonne were so helpful and easy to communicate with, and we felt right at home from the time we made the booking. Truly a 5 star experience!! Thank you!

Very cozy, comfortable and clean! Camille has created a calming, beautiful space. I did not get to explore as much as I would have liked in the few days I was in Kittery for a graduation, but the outlets and trading post are nearby. I appreciated the pet friendly accommodations and there was a local park to walk my dog in close proximity. The hot tub is a nice perk I was not able to enjoy. Definitely would stay again and highly recommend.

Great place. Just as advertised. Would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to the train, no need to rent a car to enjoy all Boston has to offer!

Look no more! Winter Island Retreat is a seaside oasis that creates an atmosphere of tranquility and peace. From the moment I arrived I was struck by it's beauty captivated by the stunning sunrises to start each day The retreat is charming and a place of solace. The beautifully manicured lawn and gardens filled with lush floral designs adds to its magic. while the front porch with its rocking chairs, invite you to slow down and savor your morning coffee or lose yourself in a good book. Evenings are equally special walking the path to the beach and settling into the adriondack chair with a glass of wine It's a peaceful ritual that grounds you in gratitude. The home itself is cozy, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated with calming beachy touches that make you feel at ease. It's perfectly located just minutes from downtown Salem. I'm grateful to be one of the lucky guests to stay in David's home. He was a kind and gracious host. A truly memorable retreat I will be back

This place was very spacious! It’s bigger than it looks in the pictures. Korene greeting us and was very friendly and helpful. The house was clean and in a great location. Close enough to downtown concord that you can walk. 10/10 recommend!

Tracy and Gordon’s apartment was just exactly what we needed during our stay in Exeter. The gas stove/heater was so toasty (and easily adjustable) - it made the living area very inviting during the chilly and rainy week we were guests there. Having several spaces to be in vs a hotel room was so nice, too. We look forward to a return visit!

My husband and I stayed here for our baby moon and it was perfect! The location couldn’t have been better and the airbnb was stocked with everything we needed. Nick was super responsive and made sure our stay was wonderful. We will absolutely be back!!!

This was the perfect house for a girls trip! It was a quick drive to shops and restaurants and a short walk to the Echo Lake trails. The house was beautiful and exactly as described/pictured. Amalie was super responsive to questions and I would absolutely stay here again!

Matt’s place was welcoming comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Matt was always responsive within a few minutes. Matt’s place was conveniently located to Portland with restaurants and shops. Spent A day at Cape Elizabeth, Peaks island and dinner in Naple….. previous visit was to Boothbay Botanical garden Really a great state to visit!!!
