Vacation rentals with lake access in Montcalm County

We had such a great time at Pamela’s lake house! It was the perfect escape for a long weekend. The home was cozy, super clean, and had everything we needed to just unwind. Our dog came along and absolutely loved it too. We spent our evenings in the hot tub. The house had tons of games and little touches that made it feel really welcoming. Pamela was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. It’s clear she really cares about the guest experience. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with the option to bring your pup along. We’d definitely come back!

We had an a very enjoyable time. Even our dog, who is usually on edge when we stay out of town, was relaxed. Would definitely stay here again.

Katie’s home was stunning and peaceful, and she was very responsive when I messaged her to ask for anything. The house had everything you would need, and she even left out some extra blankets and towels. It was a wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend it!

The cozy cottage was a great place for two adults and our dog. We loved using the kayaks to get out to the lake. I enjoyed walking my dog along back roads in the area, too. Neighbors were friendly and would wave hello but also respectful of privacy and our getaway/vacation vibe. The deck along the canal is a perfect place to set up a yoga mat and do your thing. The place is very well appointed and they’ve thought of everything you might need for humans or pets. We saw (and heard) lots of birds, waved to the turtles while out kayaking, and I think we might’ve seen a river otter down the way! Our dog loved all the smells of nature around us. The Roku worked and it was easy to log in to our account. Wi-Fi connection was great - no issues. Michael’s Pizzeria had good carry-out from down the road. Lastly, the owners are great communicators and checked in with us just the right amount before we arrived and as we were prepping to leave. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

My family and I just spent a week at the Red Geranium Cottage. It was a wonderful experience. The cottage is in a great location at the south end of a quiet lake and is convenient to the boat launch. It was well appointed with everything we needed to enjoy our week including kayaks, paddle boards, life preservers, and plenty of beach towels. There is a beautiful porch and deck, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus an easy-to-use table/fire pit for s'mores. The hosts were extremely responsive when we asked how we should tie up our boat. They came out the next day and installed cleats on the dock that worked great for the rest of the week. Highly recommended.

Theresa’s place was just what we needed for our stay in the area. It was fun to see all the hunting and fishing items throughout the home and felt almost like home. :) We would definitely come back if we needed a place in the area.

Very peaceful area and nice space depicted accurately in the listing and photos. Catherine and Heidi were very responsive and gave great local recommendations. We loved hiking the Dragon Trail despite the weather, and dinner at The Forager was awesome. Also caught a few fish!

Exactly as described. Had a comforting older home grandma feel. All the furniture was comfortable. Loved the recliners! Loved the foos ball, fireplace thingy in the basement, deck, outdoor fire pit and the wildlife! Had some frustration with the heating system. Theres a weird mix and match heating system with no written instructions on how to control the heating. There is no air conditioning at all which made for some discomfort on days it reached the 50s. Enjoyed our stay! Home was really clean! Love that bedding and furniture was not white!

First I'd like to say the photos don't fully capture the little details that make the house feel like a home. I was there with my family for 6 nights, and most of the time was spent outside on the paddle boards, or kayaks, or fishing - but we did have a rainy day where we played ping pong, fuse ball, and karaoke. A rainy day at the lake is always better than a sunny day at home. The sitting area outside near the firepit (right beside the water) was also great - we spent almost every evening there by the fire. Overall, the entire experience was fantastic. Jennifer is also a great host. She made sure we had all the information we needed upon arrival and check out, and was very quick to respond if the occasional question came up. We will be staying there again, and I definitely recommend this home for those looking for a nice vacation home.

My husband, our two dogs, and I loved staying at Brandie’s place! It was the perfect home base while visiting family in Michigan. The combination of being right on the lake and having a fenced-in yard for the dogs is such a rare find—it couldn’t have been more ideal. We also really appreciated the two desks, since we both had to “work from home” for a few days—having dedicated space made all the difference!

Lovely location. Private property with view of lake. Watch out for the drive way since it dips if you have a car lower to the ground. Looks like the pictures and was clean. Comfy beds, chairs, and couch. Good for a small group and great if you need to be in this town or the surrounding area. About 20-30 minutes to other areas with good restaurants, coffee shops, and wedding venues. Very cute and comfortable. Very responsive team.

I can honestly say I was very comfortable in Jon’s home and so was my family. It was very clean and his house look like the pictures. I rented this Airbnb because I am a Ferris State graduate and I had to come down here for my ceremony . The hotels were extremely too high so I decided to get an Airbnb with my family instead of getting multiple hotel rooms and my family enjoyed being there as well. I would go there again most definitely l. Everything looks exactly like the pictures and it was really clean and organized. They had everything there far as in the cooking utensils. I did for my family, but overall the visit was very good and I enjoyed myself.

Absolutely Perfect Lakefront Getaway! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most incredible stay at this lakefront Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views — the sparkling water just steps from the back door created the most peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every comfort we could have asked for. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, and the beds were super comfortable. Waking up to sunrise over the lake each morning was truly magical. One of the highlights was the private dock, where we spent hours kayaking, fishing, and just soaking up the sun. Evenings around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and watching the stars, made for some unforgettable memories. Tina was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. You can tell she genuinely cares about their guests' experience. This was such a cute little lake house. It was well kept - very clean and neat. We were in the area for a wedding and this was a perfect spot to call home for the weekend. The area was beautiful with the fall foliage and the lake was crystal clear. It was such a nice location - definitely a spot to get some much needed R&R. The house has a great backyard to sit under the string lights, have a campfire, play yard games, or enjoy the lake. We visited during October so it was chillier in the mornings, but we were able to enjoy the sunshine and great views in the afternoon. The hosts were fantastic. They were super responsive and very friendly. They offer a lot of amenities such as campfire supplies and boat rentals. The reclining sofas were a nice touch and were great for putting our feet up at the end of the day. There were also board games and some kids activities too. I wish we had a few more days to take advantage and enjoy some more of the lake life. We will have to come back!

This place was quiet and comfortable. It was exactly what was needed for a small get away. Having the private beach to fish from was the best thing about this place. The host was very responsive and friendly. Overall this was a very pleasant place to stay!
