Zen Haven Farm Dog Paradise! A True Zen Escape!

We (2 humans and one dog) stayed at Shannon's place for several weeks while we had a renovation project taking place at our home. Highly recommend staying here! The house has tons of space and natural light and the furniture and beds were extremely comfortable. I especially appreciated the radiant floors in the primary bathroom and the two large chair in the upstairs hallway lounge area. We both work remotely and the internet speed and connectivity were great. This is also a dream space for dogs with lots of cozy dog beds and multiple baskets of toys to play with during your stay. Shannon was an extremely gracious host from well-before our stay started, accommodating a reservation timeline shift when our project start got pushed back, and she was also able to extend our stay when our contractor ran into a delay. I would highly recommend this property!

The spacious bedroom features two queen beds with light green bedding, positioned beside a large window that allows natural light to fill the room. A modern bathroom is visible in the background, with neutral tones and elegant fixtures. Wooden benches provide additional seating.

We absolutely loved our experience at Frank’s Winthrop basement apartment! Exceptionally good value for the beautiful area, comfy beds & a very easy to use TV for the rainy nights :) The one thing that would have really improved this place for me personally is enhanced privacy. I would have loved to have our basement apartment door lock from the outside. I didn’t feel unsafe by any means because our entrance was locked and had a keypad we shared with the hosts but would have loved to be able to lock the apartment up while we were exploring MA. A separate entrance for guests would have been awesome too but I recognize that is a tough ask renovation wise. My husband was not bothered by it at all but once I mentioned it, he agreed.

A bright living area features a comfortable grey sofa and a pair of accent chairs placed on a soft area rug. Natural light enters through sliding glass doors, leading to the outdoor deck. A modern entertainment unit with a flat-screen television adds a contemporary touch.

Joe was a great host. Very responsive. We were in for a family reunion in Newbury Port, which was a short drive away. Salisbury did not have much to offer, and old rundown beach town, but Joe's place is not too far from some great places to drive to.

Mary is intuitively brilliant at sizing up guests wants and needs. Not only is the physical space perfect in every regard, but she maintains the perfect balance of knowing which guests like to chat, and which prefer solitude. The view, the beach experience (think hermit crabs, tide pools and sea glass) were spectacular.

A perfect place to stay as our home base for visits to both Salem and Boston. It was easy to find, had driveway parking, and the door keypad was easy to use. The space was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The host checked in to make sure all was well and we had zero issues. I'm so glad we decided to stay in Winthrop as it was beautiful and peaceful, yet convenient to the other cities. While many planes flew over, they did not disturb our sleep at all with the noise machine on.

For the simple fact that if you need to be in the Beverly and Salem area this is a perfect location to post up and walk to everything you need. Or, drive if you must. I felt at home, the host was very kind, respectful and responsive. Great neighborhood, near to the Logan Airport, shopping centers and restaurants. The house is very clean and well arranged. It’s also very peaceful. We had so much fun staying there.

This house is everything and more. Amazing location, plenty of room, comfortable and clean. We had a blast. Close walk to town and beach. Aaron had plenty of beach chairs and a beach carrier for all your stuff. Plenty of space to park, grill, AC in all rooms. Was fantastic. Can’t wait to be back!

Third year we’ve stayed there. Very well equipped unit. New sofa this year. The screened in porch overlooking the beach is a big attraction for us. You’re on the beach, so access isn’t an issue. Not one of the busier sections of the beach, but it’s a short walk to the areas with shops. An always accessible parking space, and an elevator to the upper floors is a plus.
