Lake cabins in Lake Poinsett

The owner is super personable and helpful. By far one of the best stays ive had this year. We were warm, comfortable and had excellent internet which is a must for me. I hope to stay agin.

This was a great place for our extended family's stay during our son's graduation from SDSU. We were also able to have a small party with his friends from Farmhouse Fraternity. Plenty of room for all staying to have their own space. Clean and well stocked.

My sister had her graduation in Brookings, SD and we were looking for somewhere as a family to go and spend the night. This was such a perfect spot for all of us! There was a lot of open space for us all to be together and the outdoor space was amazing. The weather was perfect and we spent the entire afternoon outside- either on the deck or in the yard.

Fantastic lake house. A huge lot with plenty of space. We stayed here for SDSU graduation and even though it was a bit of a drive to Brookings, it gave us plenty of space for all the family to stay and attend the ceremony. Jared's lake house was immaculate and as described. He had all the amenities needed for our stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for the great stay!

My husband was traveling for work and needed a last minute place to stay for him and his guys. They absolutely enjoyed their stay and would love to stay again. The owners were great with communication as well.

We had a great time! It is a beautiful property! They had all the essentials in the house, which we really appreciated. She was quick to respond to anything we needed. We had so fun making fires and playing in the water. We also loved that we could bring our pup with us. 10/10 🎉🙂

Traci’s home was peaceful and clean. We had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed his birthday. The grandkids loved walking down to the beach. The beds were clean and very comfortable. My husband really enjoyed reclining back and watching TV.

This was a great family place with comfy bedrooms and common areas. The lake is peaceful with lots of wildlife to watch. The hosts made several unique and welcoming touches throughout the house.

We had a wonderful stay!! It was the perfect accommodations and such a wonderfully appointed cabin/home. Everything we needed was right there and available. The cabin was so very clean and comfortable. Sitting in the porch in the morning having coffee was so very relaxing and peaceful. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Lots of room! Owen was very accommodating. We were planning on getting there early and didn’t make it until almost 10:00pm as we made a few unexpected stops along the way. When we arrived the exterior motion lights came on right away to light up the path and someone had just recently been there to clear snow. Our stay overall was very peaceful! Just what I was looking for!

The views from this place were absolutely stunning. I probably have 200 pictures of the same view because I couldn’t get enough of it. The lake is so big it feels like you’re on a great lake almost. super cozy. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. How to travel a bit to eat anywhere decent but it’s totally worth it for this house!!

This lake cabin was such a great getaway for my family! The space was so cozy and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. It had a good amount of yard space for all our favorite yard games, a great spot for a camp fire, and the dock was super nice for fishing and jumping into the lake. Tina is very friendly and was great about communicating. She keeps the space very clean and well stocked. I don’t think I could recommend this cabin more!

Leif was very good at communicating! We were there for our daughter’s graduation and had two other daughters coming in from TX and CA, the house was a great place to gather. We had a problem and he was quick to offer to come over and fix it! It was possible to have a late checkout and that was so nice and unexpected!! Will definitely stay again!

The cabin was a great place for a small group get together. The front living room looking on to the lake is beautiful.

Sarah is very responsive and accommodating all the way around. The deck is wonderful and very enjoyable. The lake was beautiful, and the sunsets were everything we hoped for them to be. There's a little area in the back for the kids to play in the water, sand and rocks. This is exactly what you're looking for when it comes to a lakeside cabin.

Beautiful and quiet! Plenty of room for our large family to be comfortable. The house is clean and lovely. We chose this location based on the proximity to DeSmet, SD because we wanted to take a trip to the Ingalls Homestead. Robin was very welcoming and helpful. The property is secluded, but it has all the amenities of home. We loved how close it was to the lake. Next time we will take a longer trip to enjoy the area more!
