"I'm a Big City Girl left to roam the countryside and you just might like to do the same!"

The space
You'll enjoy my beautiful Home with it's IKEA kitchen/hardwood floors throughout except for Master which is carpeted ( please remove shoes if possible ), loads of antique furniture, art and photography, books, a small deck out back looking onto the country garden - great for a place to sit and have breakfast with an abundance of Pecan trees and flowers , French Doors, gas range and ship lap walls!

Guest access
You will enjoy the Living, Dining/Kitchen, Master bedroom and bath and Hall bath next to Living room. The 2nd bedroom with single bed is just off the living area. The backyard and deck as well as front yard are all yours! Carport in front will hold one auto with another in driveway behind...Chest of drawers in bedrooms have empty drawers for your usage and are stocked with extra blankets as well. The bedrooms each have a white noise machine if you need one for better sleep at night.

Other things to note
Bookings are for 2 days or more. This is my HOME where I live full time when not hosting. Thus I have a 2 night minimum due to the work involved getting house prepped for guests.I have a new Keurig Machine but do not supply pods for coffee so please bring yours from home! Feel free to call or text when you arrive if you have any questions. I have notes posted around to explain things you might like to know about my home and help you in being comfortable for your stay! Please send a brief text upon entry to let me know you made it into my home, as well as when you check out so I can plan when to return home!

Neighborhood highlights

Historic Charm abounds in town and as you drive around you will see many historic style homes and lot's of renovation going on! As well, you can easily walk to downtown, with its antique bricked streets, restaurants a coffee shop and lot's of antique shops. The Historic Onion shed is next to the park and another onion shed across the street houses the Historic Museum.

We're about 15 miles East of McKinney & on the way to Greenville, Rockwall & Lake Ray Hubbard, Sache and Wylie are not too far on down the road. Blue Ridge is just North on 78 about 7 miles and then on to Celeste, Leonard, or Trenton.

Enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding town and it's old time feel! The Stable bar/restaurant, 12 Stories coffee shop and Over Yonder, Bottles and Boards the new wine/food hangout and Wood and Smoke BBQ make up some of the restaurants in town. Hamburgers and home cooking are at Charlies near the high school on Hwy 78 as well as Jim's Pizza and a Chinese restaurant. Several other restaurants are along 380 such as Sonic and DQ and a J C's Taco joint near the Exxon station on 78. The newest Mexican restaurant is across from Sonic called Rivera’s Salva Tex-Mex.

The Chaparral Trail runs from downtown and crosses Houston St. and then goes on for miles. You can access the start of the trail at the Onion Shed right in DT on Main Street near the flag poles. This is the general area as well for the 1st Saturday Flea Market which is set up each month with food, farmers market and antiques, etc. around the Onion shed's in town.

My work: Realtor & Photo buff
As a Native Dallasite, I love this city and the vitality of it!! I describe myself as a "Big City girl Left to Roam the Countryside". While doing this I am often with camera in tow taking photos of things along the way. I also have been a Realtor for the past 26 years in the Dallas area and all the way to San Antonio & Austin! I stay in Air B&B's everytime I travel and love them so much I decided to turn my home into a vacation rental one as well
