Miwa's place is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Japan's megacities. The house and neighborhood genuinely make you slow down and relax as you enjoy the slower pace of the countryside. Miwa and her mother were responsive and incredibly helpful. They prepared a book for you detailing nearby recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The house is comfortable and the amenities are generous. I highly recommend staying here if you would like to slow down a little bit and relax. Miwa's house is also conveniently located near some of the post towns of the Nakasendo trail like Magomejuku and Tsumagojuku.

This is a very nice small place with everything you need. The host was very responsive and helpful. It was very easy to check in as the door just has a combination lock, which also made it really nice and easy to get in and out every day. The area is very nice, safe and quiet (so I hope that future guests help keep it that way) but it is also quick and easy to get to Shinjuku. When we arrived the host had also left us some very nice treats which were things I wouldn't have tried otherwise but did like so I am very grateful for that. The place is beautifully decorated & clean, looking just like the photos with a comfy bed and a great air con.

It was a really nice stay, the neighborhood was really peaceful so I was able to get good nights of sleep! And Yoshiko came to get at the station and even accompanied me at the post office to help me with a package! Really great location+ really good host 100% recommend ( And the rice bread was really good )
