Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Idyllwild-Pine Cove

As former residents of Idyllwild, we were so impressed with this little cabin! It is perfectly located- you’re close enough to town that you can walk, but far away enough for privacy and quiet. We were here during the spring and loved having the option to make a fire in the evening when it got chilly. The house itself is very minimalist, but tasteful. The only thing we wish we had was a washer/dryer because we stayed for a week and would’ve loved the option to clean our clothes during our stay. But overall, definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the town.

This place was a dream! The guest house was perfect for my husband and I. It had everything you could need and more. Joe was amazing from start to finish! The pool is like a resort. So private and peaceful, we spend most of our time outdoors. I would highly recommend this property and will for sure be coming back again!

This was a wonderful little mountain oasis that was perfect for me and my dogs. The back deck is wonderful for relaxing, listening to the creek, and watching all the birds and squirrels. My dogs especially liked chasing the squirrels. The walking trail behind the house gives you easy quick access to town without having to drive. It also extends a good 2 miles beyond town for those that want to stretch their legs or give their dogs a long walk. The house had all the things I needed. And the hosts were very gracious in explain everything I needed to know about the house from food storage to lights. I will definitely be back again to stay at this house.

This is a dream mountain house! My husband and I absolutely loved everything about it! Gorgeous views in every room. Spacious living area with high ceilings, decorated with such great taste, sophistication and restraint. Well equipped kitchen, nicely remodeled bathrooms, spacious master bedroom with comfortable bed, a deck with endless views... And what a wonderful host: Astrid was so generous and kind, truly welcoming! We can't wait to stay here again!

I absolutely loved my stay here and don’t think the photos did it justice! The surrounding views were great to wake up to and it felt like we had so much privacy. Everything was clean inside, the bed was comfy, and the vibe was very homey. The house was very cold when we arrived, but the loft area heated up quickly! We didn’t utilize the wood burner stove, but would definitely recommend for colder weather. We also used the hot tub which worked perfectly fine. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back, thanks Alexander 😊

We enjoyed our stay at Julee and Ross’ lodge. The place was very clean, even the floors were spotless. It’s toddler friendly with books and games to keep them entertained. Also had a few fun visitors like chipmunks and lizards to watch out the window. Area is quiet and peaceful and a quick drive into town. Kudos to Ross for being super responsive and sending us detailed instructions. Thank you!

Came to PS to celebrate my birthday with some friends. Had plans to go out for drinks, brunch, etc. the house was so well equipped and beautiful that we just stayed in to enjoy all of it. It was easy to divide the rooms because each has a smart TV, ceiling fan & closet. Every inch of the house is comfortable to be in, the beds, the couch, outside, etc. the house is gorg & has so much for you to enjoy. The kitchen has the tools you’ll need to cook all meals. It was useful to have access to the garage. We pulled in and were able to conveniently used the door inside the garage to enter the house. PS overall has become stricter with noise/music outside, we had to navigate accordingly but regardless we had an amazing stay. Prior to booking and during Elaine was responsive, clear and informative. Will pin this house & come again.

Amazing and serene mountain getaway. Under 10 minutes drive to Idyllwild. Great communication with the host. We’ll surely be back.

Je pense que c’est le meilleur Airbnb dans lequel j’ai séjourné ! Tout était vraiment parfait, le logement est bien décoré, le lit est très confortable, tout a été refait récemment ! Il y a aussi le patio qui est super pour déjeuner quand il ne fait pas trop chaud. La climatisation et le ventilateur de la chambre ont été très utiles pour les très chaudes journées de Palm springs. La résidence est très agréable, au calme absolu avec une grande piscine. J’aimerais revenir dans ce Airbnb !

Fernando's place was super clean and cozy, especially for a short getaway! The stay was extremely close to town yet far away from the hustle and bustle. I loved how clean the whole Airbnb was and the bed was so comfy!! The water got warm and the heaters were perfect for the cold nights. Thank you for letting us stay! We'll be back :)

Le logement est impeccable. Don & Ron ont définitivement le sens de l’accueil. Il y avait plein de petites attention qui nous attendaient à l’intérieur du logement. Je n’avais jamais vu cela auparavant ! Il y avait tout ce qu’il fallait même davantage. Le quartier est magnifique, très calme. Un vrai petit coin de paradis.

We had a great stay! Condo was just as described, the pool was super close to the unit which we enjoyed. Neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. Had everything we needed to enjoy our meals! Thank you 😊 For festival goers, this location was only 7 mins from our shuttle pick up location which was great!

Kelly has done an amazing job of decorating this beautiful apartment! It was so fun and had some really well thought out finishing touches! I’m here for the Golden Girls prints FYI. Loved staying here, pool area was beautiful and had the best time. Our car felt secure and we were super close to everything, the Mountain View outside was stunning. Definitely one to add to your favourites if staying in Palm Springs! Thank you! ☺️

Aaron's condo in Plaza Villas is fantastic! Everything was just as described and photographed. The unit is GORGEOUSLY renovated, comfrotable, and has clearly had a lot of thought put into every detail. The kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchens we've ever had at an Airbnb. The thoughtful additions like a snack drawer and a few drinks in the refrigerator were nice extras. Both bedrooms feature very comfortable beds, with plenty of great pillows. The bathrooms were well stocked with amenities and nice towels. Having stayed in other units at Plaza Villas, we're very familiar with the complex and the floor plans, and noticed the level of renovation done on this unit. The entire time I kept thinking "A lot of this is what I'd do if we bought a unit in this complex." So, it really felt like "home" to us, even though we were only there a week. In addition to the high quality of the unit itself, Aaron's communications before, during, and after the stay were top notch. I'd gladly return!

This really is a great place to stay in Palm Springs - the apartment is lovely, super clean and with everything you could possibly need. Comfy bed, lovely furniture and linens. The swimming pool and hot tubs are fabulous with a very nice laid back atmosphere. All of the downtown bars and restaurants are a short walk away. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is great if you want to be within walking distance from downtown, but not close enough to be disturbed by city noises. Grocery, drug store and Starbucks all a short drive or 15/20 walk. I'd recommend this space for anyone visiting Palm Springs. The patio is large and a great place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the mountain view. Enjoy...we did.

Great location… Very close to a wonderful neighborhood for walking and chilling

Very pleased with our stay here! This rental was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway to the desert! The outdoor space is quiet and super-private. We never saw or heard any neighbors, but watched hummingbirds spar overhead as we lounged by the pool. The pool is clean and perfect for floating all afternoon, looking out at the mountains. The spa is a great way to relax under the stars after dinner. The location was great. Close enough to downtown to be a quick drive when hot, or a reasonable stroll when it's cooler. And I appreciated being able to talk an early morning jog around the area. We didn't spend much time indoors, but it's a light, airy, and comfortable space. The kitchen is up-to-date and well-appointed. Communication with the hosts and their assistant was friendly, transparent, and proactive. Very nice people! We will gladly rent this place again when we return to PS for a desert getaway! Highly recommended!

Jerry and Craig have a wonderful, beautiful, and quiet place. As someone born and raised in Palm Springs, it was absolutely gorgeous getting to wake up to the view especially with such an inviting pool and backyard. It reminded me of when I was little. There’s a bunch of walkable places such as Koffi and an ice cream shop as well as clothing stores and a steakhouse. Jerry was an amazing communicator and checked in on multiple occasions to make sure we and our dogs had everything we needed. It was great to go and visit, and we are already looking by forward to our next stay!

This was my first time visiting Palm Springs and my stay could not have been better. This unit added so much fun, mid-century charm to my experience with beautiful design and amenities. The little details, like the record player, tiki cup collection, and antique furnishings give this unit a vibe that immediately puts you in a vacation mindset. The building was quiet and peaceful, making for a great respite from adventures downtown. I also appreciated that the location is a bit more off the beaten path, but still walkable to some incredible coffee shops and restaurants. Plus, getting to downtown is a breeze with Ubers/Lyfts taking less than 15 minutes. The cherry on top is the building's pool. It feels like you're lounging on a movie set straight out of the 1950's. We went multiple times a day throughout our trip to swim, sunbathe, and relax. We really appreciated that it wasn't a crowded party area, but rather a peaceful place to lounge. Can't recommend this unit enough!

We loved staying in this fabulous condo at the iconic Ocotillo Lodge, designed by famed midcentury modern architect William Krisel. Although the once spectacular public rooms at the Lodge are now shuttered, the grounds have been beautifully restored with cactus and succulents, and the large landmark champagne-cork shaped pool is beautifully maintained, serenaded (quietly) through the day with delightful recordings of classic Great American Songbook music of the 50's. The Brite Spot condo itself has been wonderfully decorated with handsome vintage furniture and lighting, a very comfortable bed, and beautiful terrazzo tile floors, and boasts a lovely little courtyard with a great old olive tree that throughout the day hosts various singing desert birds. The Lodge no longer has a working bar or restaurant, but coffee, cocktails, great food, and the sights and attractions of Palm Springs - including Krisel's justly famed Twin Palms community - are all just minutes away.

Juliana was a great host! Super responsive and her local recommendations in her guidebook were great. The space was perfect for two people and we loved being able to unplug without a TV. We had a great time and would recommend booking Juliana’s place if you’re looking for a cozy spot in Idyllwild!
