Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Hico

This was the perfect space for our trip to Fayetteville. The cottage is spacious, well equipped, and cute as heck. Everything we needed, and Wendy communicated clearly to make ourselves at home. Easy walk to downtown Fayetteville. Super convenient location right off of 19 but still felt private and secluded. We enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard, and lounging on the cozy front porch on quiet mornings and peaceful afternoons. Great combination of classic comfort and design with modern amenities. Will definitely return.

Great place and close to everything. Actually had 3 bedrooms. Toby was very responsive when a small issue with the house came up: he was at the door in 10 minutes and had the issue resolved in another 10 minutes.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place!!! With 6 adults and 2 babies, the 2 masters with on-suite bathrooms was perfect. The living area had plenty of space for us all, including toys!!! We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!!!

House was perfect for our group of friends + kids exploring the New River Gorge area. Loved that we could walk to restaurants and coffee shops and the outdoor space was perfect for hanging out. The house had great character and was very well stocked. Hosted were very responsive and helpful. Would love to stay here again if back in the area.

If you love nature you will LOVE this place! Sitting on the porch and seeing a family of otters swimming and playing in the river was a really cool experience. We also saw fox squirrels and deer while there! The views are beautiful and the house was great all around. There were ample amounts of towels, linens, cups, plates, bowls etc. I honestly can't wait to book this place again sometime in the spring/summer. I've been coming to West Virginia since I was a child and this was probably my best stay yet!

Really enjoyed our stay! Easy to find. The place was clean and modern. Beds comfortable. The hot tub is what made us book this house and it did not disappoint. The hot tub was clean and the lights at night were very romantic. Seeing the train go by in a distance and the church bells at 6 pm while relaxing was nice. The snacks and coffee were a nice surprise. Will definitely stay here again when we travel.

We loved this place for our visit to New River Gorge National Park. House was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent, less than 10 minutes to downtown Fayetteville, 10-15 minutes to Oak Hill and about 10 minutes to the park visitor center. Plus, there were a bunch of hikes within a 20-30 minutes drive. We loved the local recommendations, they were very helpful. Backyard was great for our dog. Firepit was lovely at night. If you are a birdwatcher, there was some great viewing just in the backyard - we saw a bunch of bluebirds, red bellied woodpeckers and pileated woodpeckers and many others. Highly recommend if you are coming the area!!

This was the second time we stayed here. Beautiful house with details that make it feel like home. Perfect location to walk to town or straight to the trails. We will definitely be back!

My second stay in this home and I will be back. You get a great sunset view from the front porch! Its the easiest 15 or so mile drive down the mountain to the bridge or hiking. This home is right on the river, you really cant beat it. Ill be back again! Jim is an exceptional host and responds quickly!

The three days I was there it was chilly & it rained… so having the carport was really nice along with the space heaters too. Kitchen had everything I needed and loved having a washer/dryer. Great stay!

Had an amazing stay at Amy's place. Cozy and had everything we needed! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay right in front of the river!

We had a wonderful time at Angela & Jeff’s place and in the surrounding area. We hiked, biked, and zip lined and had a blast. Enjoyed several local restaurants too. Beautiful location at a comfortable, well-appointed place, we enjoyed our stay immensely, including the fire pit at night under the stars. They have thought of everything here to ensure your comfort and enjoyment and it shows!

We were so happy with our stay here. The place is big and cozy, a very short drive to some beautiful spots to climb, and Lucas was an exceptional host. He's a really kind and friendly person, always responds to messages within minutes, and was eager to help in any way that he can. When we noticed the kitchen was missing a couple of items we needed for meal prep, he had them bought and dropped off that very same night. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you for everything!

Really appreciated Lucas’s quick response and flexibility to let us stay longer than listed to be able to have my procedures at local hospital. When we had WiFi issues he messaged and called to try to help us resolve them. The place was perfect for my husband and I to stay! Comfortable, cozy, great kitchen to reheat dinner and such! We had a great night there!

What a hidden gem! Feels more spacious than in the pictures, definitely one of the cleanest cabins we have been in, plush towels, nice firm bed. Cabin is close to so many trails, closest town is only few miles away with lots of grocery stores, restaurants, antique stores, etc. It was beautiful with the snow around or with warmer weather. Pellet stove worked nicely to warm up the cabin. We enjoyed many of the recommendations the hosts suggested, hiking trails and then relaxing in the hot tub. I must admit we only heard the dogs a few times when outside (not inside) and when the tub was not on, so not a big deal. Gary and Julie, you guys are the best! thank you for all the goodies and hospitality. We plan to be back.

The cabin was perfect for our 4 day stay. The only thing I'd request is an extra garbage bag or two in the home (especially for longer stays) and some boxes of Kleenex/tissue. The cabin was very clean and Francesca did a great job of communicating for the arrival and departure. We loved our time in West Virginia!

What a cute little place. We can’t wait to come back! A peaceful place away from the craziness of life. The host was amazing. One of the best I’ve dealt with. Very responsive and very kind. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

I really enjoyed my stay! I had a little trouble with finding the place at first, it was dark and I’m terrible with directions. But Michael was very responsive and helped me immediately! The cabin was so cute and cozy. We really enjoyed the hot tub! I will be coming back!

Great cabin with lots of things to do if you would like a relaxing day at the cabin and a quick 20 min drive from new river gorge for hiking! Fit our group of 8 well and was very dog friendly with a gate installed on the deck.

Jill’s Airbnb was everything that we thought it would be …peaceful, private, good views, and lovely cabin. Our only downfall was the spotty internet. My husband and I are entrepreneurs and couldn’t keep a steady connection to the internet. Other than that, we were very much satisfied and I’d highly recommend.

This was by far one of my favorite Airbnb’s to stay at. It was in such a beautiful location and the house was gorgeous. We loved having the extra games to play, hot tub, sauna, and outdoor space. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the New River Gorge National Park. It was about a 15 minute drive to anywhere you wanted to go.
