Vacation rentals with beach access in Herne Bay

Chris and Michelle are outstanding hosts. Their communications were perfect: the right balance between too much and not enough information at every level and stage of our interactions. Their One Cool Place is one for which superlatives seem inadequate for location, amenity and atmosphere. We certainly could not commend highly enough.

We were welcomed by Akio, he showed us everything we needed to know. Super friendly and helpful. Restaurants and public transport nearby. Perfect for exploring Auckland. Parnell is a fantastic place. Pool and gym, kitchen equipment: you don't need anything more.

Sherryl's place was beyond our expectations! The location was gorgeous with access to the beach just a quick 2 minute walk down the street. The 'apartment' (it is on the ground floor of their home) was very clean and spacious and had all necessary amenities available to us. The bedroom was light and airy with the bed being so comfortable and the bedding soft and snuggly! The kitchen had very modern appliances and was stocked with a few of our dietary specific necessities upon arrival; Sherryl had reached out before our arrival to enquire about these. The shower pressure in the bathroom was brilliant!! There was a washer in the bathroom, but no dryer (NZ encourages less energy use, so there is an outside line to use). The outside area/s were lovely and inviting. Both Sherryl and Ron were extremely friendly when we interacted with them and gave good local recommendations; they even shared their produce from their garden! We loved our stay in Takapuna!

We loved our stay here! Our active kids, ages 4 and 8 years, loved the easy access to the beach and playground, and adored spending time in the pool and hot tub every day. The rooms were comfortable and we all slept well. The location was an easy drive to restaurants and grocery stores. The host was friendly and communicated well. We would happily stay here again!

The accommodation is close to the bridge so it was easy getting into the city. Handy spot close to a supermarket and Takapuna dining. Also very secure. Paul is a kind host and easy to get in touch with.

Beautiful, clean, and cozy apartment! Great location to walk for coffee or out to dinner while still being located on a quiet and private street. Walking distance to the harbour for a nice stroll. Courtney was very quick to reply to our questions! Lovely stay for our few nights in Auckland!

We had a wonderful few nights at Pauline's house. the location was great, a short walk to cafes , shops and restaurants. Very peaceful , the house is clean and comfortable and had all amenities available. thanks , will stay again when in Waiheke.

Loved Julie’s home, it was definitely home away from home. Met Julie on the first day, she graciously gave us some starter groceries which was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed the home, and the beautiful view, will definitely book again. Julie is a wonderful hostess, very accommodating to our needs. Thank you Julie.

Superb location in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, within a short walk to both a big supermarket and park, and an easy drive to the city. The house is spacious, with a well equipped kitchen, and comfy and warm beds. The underfloor heating in the bathroom and toilet is an added bonus, as was the smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. The highlight for the kids though was the gorgeous piano! My only criticisms are that the sofa and chairs in the lounge are uncomfortable; the towels were thin and small; and we couldn't shut two of the blinds in the lounge at night, which made it feel less private given there's another house close behind it. Despite these, we'd happily stay here again.

Mike and Eva made our whole experience fantastic! The home itself was beautiful and was right by the beach. They communicated with us the whole time and even let us check in early due to our flight being early morning and we’re very accomodating.

Donna was a lovely host and we very much appreciated the care taken to make us welcome. She brought down some toys she thought my some might like (he did!) and had him help her feed the chickens and collect the eggs which she gave to us (they were delicious!) we would gladly stay with Donna again 😃

The property is located right on a cliff, overlooking the ocean. The views of the sunrises and sunsets were wonderful. Simply an amazing spot, isolated perfectly for privacy, yet within minutes of key areas. A fantastic property. The host, Joseph, was extremely responsive and very flexible for us. Highly recommend this property and Joseph.

Great little hideaway in a lovely suburb. Cute little flat tucked st rhe end of a long driveway. Easy parking. Super quiet and safe neighbourhood. Felt right at home. Host was very friendly and easy to deal with.

Such a great home! Location for us was great and literally down the street was the entrance to the beach! Going up the stairs upon arrival there was an unpleasant odor but it went away later on after opening the windows; however, there was also a pleasant scent in the kitchen! Kitchen area was great and there was some items for us to use (coffee) and machine was great! Many appliances to use and rooms were big to share. I would definitely stay again and recommend this location to anyone!

Quick stay before returning back to the states after a three week trip of the north island. The location and view from the patio were fantastic. We had no problem finding quick and delicious dinner that evening and breakfast before we left the next morning. :)

We loved staying here! We were able to communicate with the hosts with ease. The Airbnb is within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores and everything in between. Irene is really accomodating and had come down to check on us to see if we needed anything which was nice. The facilities were great. Personally, the pictures don’t do the property justice! We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and homely it was. Most definitely would stay here again if I’m in the area next time😊

Pia was a fantastic host who , with Andy, has created a wonderful home on the stunning Milford beachfront. The home was carefully furnished and equipped to a very high standard. We felt immediately at home. Pia was quick to respond to initial requests and provided us with great local recommendations. We had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend this to others. Pia was very helpful and provided lovely welcome treats.

We loved our stay. It was a bit outside of our budget but we were happy & it was worth it. It rained quite alot during our stay so it was lovely to have a big place to relax in overseeing the water. The beach was beautiful & the local restaurants were great. Very relaxed vibe and would stay again.

We had an amazing time in Auckland and the apartment was perfect! It was a great area to stay and there were so many restaurants close to the apartment we were provided with so many choices. The apartment was exactly what we were looking for and Monica provided us with all the information and recommendations that we needed. Can’t wait to return again.
