How do I send a guest a Special Offer?
Special Offers allow you to set a custom price for a guest after they send you a booking inquiry. At this time, you cannot send someone a Special Offer when they've sent a reservation request using the Request to Book button, or have confirmed a reservation using Instant Book. If you want to adjust the price or details on an existing reservation, consider changing your reservation.
To send a guest a Special Offer, open your message thread with the guest and click Attach Special Offer.
Enter the total price you'd like to offer your guest for their stay. Don't worry about entering the nightly rate. Instead, enter the full amount you would like your guest to pay, including any cleaning or guest fees that you would normally charge. If you have a security deposit on your listing, it will be handled as normal and you do not need to add it to your Special Offer total.
Once you have entered your desired pricing for the Special Offer, we will automatically notify your guest.
Please note: You should only send a Special Offer if you are ready to confirm a reservation. If the guest chooses to accept the Special Offer, the reservation will automatically be confirmed and you will NOT receive a reservation request for approval.
A Special Offer does not block dates on your listing's calendar. So, you can offer multiple guests a Special Offer for the same dates until someone books. However, we do recommend being open and transparent with your potential guests and letting them know that you may have other guests interested in the same dates.
