Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Hartford County

I have stayed with Laura before and it is always a good experience! Lovely accomodations, thoughtful touches and a friendly host!

Stacey was sweet and gracious. The Cornwall Inn is a cute little inn that is a mix of inn and roadside motel. We stayed in a room in the motel part and felt comfortable. The entire place was well maintained and cleaned. Nice job Stacey and family! We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. We stayed in the Heritage Room which was on the top floor. The bathroom was beautiful, the room was very clean. We loved all the personal touches around the room. Chris was very hospitable and we enjoyed chatting with him and the other guests the next morning at the breakfast table-which Chris cooked and it was excellent. Unfortunately Danele was away for the weekend and we did not get to meet her. but there’s always a next time.

Virginia was very welcoming! I didn’t realize when booking that the accommodations were part of the main house (the whole second floor is the guest suite space), with the kitchen space shared. This was by no means a problem and was user error on my part. That being said staying here was the closest to a true bed and breakfast experience I’ve had using Airbnb. Virginia had a nice light breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, bagels and coffee each morning which was delightful. It was one of the cleanest Airbnbs I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend if you’re comfortable with a partially shared space. If I’m back in the area, I would stay again!

George and Annalee are wonderful hosts. From their insight of local recommendations to the thoughtful ways they make sure you feel right at home, they really exemplify what Airbnb was created to be. Ordinary civilians like you and me who love meeting people from all over the world. They are there to great you upon arrival and to make sure you know your way around the house. I would recommend commuting in/out with a car, because the location is quite remote and not walkable especially with luggage. It’s the perfect place to retreat and disconnect.

Thia was my 3rd visit to Helen's. I keep returning there - it's so beautiful and welcoming. I feel at home there. My friend, who was there for the first time, loved it too! Oh, and Helen's cooking is amazing! Will come back again. Thank you for your hospitality, Helen!

We had such a wonderful stay! The house is historic, beautiful, and impeccably clean. Breakfast was delicious, with French press coffee and steeped tea that we loved. Missy the dog is a joy to be around and kept our dog entertained in the massive outdoor space. We truly felt at home, and the place felt very private. There’s so much to do in the area—great hikes, antique stores, and plenty of restaurants to explore. All in all, it was a very relaxing weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We’d love to come back!

We stayed one night to attend a fundraiser at a nearby golf club. Other family members were staying there as well and we were thrilled there was room for us. We arrived early and our hosts were happy to allow us an early check in. Very clear communication regarding how to enter the building. Andi even came out to greet us personally when she heard us pull in. The grounds and gardens are charming and well cared for and flowers are everywhere. Everything was sparkling clean. It was so nice to have snacks and coffee right outside our room after our drive in which we enjoyed before our event. My only constructive comment is that I wish there were room darkening shades. The room gets beautiful and abundant natural light. I would highly recommend this property and would stay there again.

Oh....it was a great place to stay. I had my pup with me, and it worked out so well. Attended a concert down the street, and it was great to be back at the inn at a few minute's after the concert ended. Breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were so personable and accommodating . Look forward to my next visit!!

This was hands-down the best AirBnb we've ever stayed in. Susan was very responsive, kind, and gave us a ton of helpful recommendations for things to do in the area. We felt completely at home in this beautiful AirBnb and were impressed by all the amenities, the delicious home-cooked breakfasts, spectacular outdoor views, and the attention to detail. Susan and the AirBnb were amazing and we will ABSOLUTELY be back!

We totally loved our stay! The town of Norfolk is so quaint. But Airbnb bed-and-breakfast, we felt right at home really loved the breakfast in the morning when we all sat around the table and had conversations with all the guests that were staying. I would definitely stay there if we return to the area.

This space is in a lovely B&B a few minutes from cute shopping and eating in Old Saybrook. I've stayed here twice and loved it! The fabulous: - Spotless space. - Sophisticated decor. - Super comfortable bed. - Smaller rooms but laid out very well with sitting areas and high ceilings so it feels quite spacious. - Divine shower with great water pressure. - Extremely communicative, kind, and helpful property manager! - Fabulous French bakery and restaurant downstairs. (!) - Outdoor sitting area. Things to be aware of: - The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow— not appropriate for people with mobility issues. - The breakfast is a credit for a place down the street- this made timing a little complicated. - You might want to bring an eye mask as it's quite bright in the morning. - There is a beautiful church across the street, but the bells chime pretty late and pretty early so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Overall, highly recommend!

Nora was an exceptional host, very accommodating, helpful and friendly. She provides a great breakfast . Our private room had a private bath outside the room, which was no problem. I highly recommend Nora's BnB.

Nora and her delightful Emerald Inn over-delivered on every aspect of the stay! The accommodations are beautifully designed, quaint-but-modern, and masterfully appointed with an old-world charm. The hosts are generous and responsive, proactive, and committed to ensuring we had an excellent stay. We had wonderful time getting to know them. Added bonuses: the grounds are exceptionally manicured and curated, which added an unexpected appeal to the B&B, and breakfasts were expertly prepared and customized. Five stars all around -- we would love to stay again on our next trip to CT!

Sandra and Tom are amazing hosts. Everything is so cozy and they are incredibly warm and welcoming, it was home away from home! Sandra is an amazing cook and was so accommodating to our individual preferences. Highly recommend and definitely would stay here again!!
