Downton Aiken is two short blocks away. Please come rest awhile, then get out and walk in Hitchcock Woods, or watch a polo match, or attend a horse show. Or “do some nothing” in the shaded back yard. Aiken is a wonderful “walking city.” Pineapple Cottage is right in the thick of it.

**Female guest preferred. This is a shared space/home. The guest room is rented to a long-term female renter. She is super nice and easy to get along with. You will have your own bathroom and will share kitchen.

The space
Walking to the Alley takes, oh, eight minutes. The Willcox? Maybe 15 minutes. This cottage is so conveniently located and I feel very fortunate to have found it after looking for years. The remodeling job is first rate!! It just feels so clean. And it’s quiet and peaceful.

There is a fully fenced back yard for your pups!!

IF YOU ARE “HORSE PEOPLE” I have a modest farm south of town and can pasture board up to three horses!!

The Pineapple Cottage is 1.5 miles to Bruce’s Field and Highfields. Roughly 7 miles to Stableview. Eight miles or so to the eventing venues east of town.

Your bedroom and en suite bathroom. You will be sharing the kitchen and living room with a long-term guest in the other bedroom.

Other things to note
Access to the loft is via well-crafted, custom stairs, which are quite similar to a ladder. But MUCH safer. I want prospective guests to understand that some agility is needed to access the very safe loft.

No parties at the Pineapple Cottage and no guests other than those you have identified to me.

It’s a quiet neighborhood and I value my relationship with my neighbors. So dial it back, after 10 pm. Turn down the music and outside voices.

I bought this cottage BECAUSE of the location. It’s so convenient to everything I love about Aiken. I love the restaurants downtown and the Aiken Arts Center. Walking in the neighborhood is safe and so charming.

I have been a beekeeper, I do quite a lot of volunteering with Hitchcock Woods (I’m a Trustee and I help “lay the drag” for Aiken Hounds), still assist with prescribed burning, and I ride my two retired polo ponies. I am the mom of two wonderful adult children. I have wonderful friends here in Aiken and can fill you in on the great spots in Aiken and Augusta.
