Escape to a peaceful cabin for two overlooking a serene koi pond on our small working farm.

The Lighthouse combines rustic mountain charm with modern comforts, including air conditioning, heating, fast Wi-Fi, and a comfortable queen bed. Spend your mornings beside the pond, meet our friendly farm animals, and return to a quiet retreat after exploring Yosemite or Bass Lake.

Located just 5 minutes from downtown Oakhurst and about 30 minutes from Yosemite’s South Entrance.

The space
The Lighthouse is a cozy, standalone cabin designed for couples, solo travelers, animal lovers, and Yosemite adventurers seeking a stay with genuine character.

Built with rustic details and reclaimed wood, the cabin sits beneath mature trees beside a peaceful koi pond. Its quiet setting feels tucked away in nature while remaining only minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, and other conveniences in downtown Oakhurst.

Inside, you’ll find:

One comfortable queen bed
Heat-pump system with air conditioning and heating
Wi-Fi
Refrigerator
Microwave
Coffee maker
Basic supplies for preparing simple meals
Private porch with outdoor seating

For additional cooking, guests are welcome to use the outdoor grill and griddle.

Outside, miniature sheep graze nearby, chickens wander the property, cats explore the farm, and our large, friendly family dogs may stop by to visit.

After a day at Yosemite or Bass Lake, relax on the porch, listen to the sounds of the farm, watch the koi pond, and enjoy the clear mountain sky.

The Lighthouse is best suited for guests who appreciate animals, nature, and a peaceful farm environment.

Guest access
Guests have exclusive use of The Lighthouse cabin and its porch. You are also welcome to enjoy the koi pond and designated shared outdoor areas around the farm.

Personal check-in

Because our large family dogs roam freely around the property, personal check-in is required.

We will welcome you when you arrive and introduce you to the dogs. This helps both our guests and animals feel comfortable and safe throughout the stay.

Please provide your estimated arrival time at least 24 hours before check-in and plan to arrive during the check-in window shown on your reservation. Let us know as soon as possible if travel delays affect your arrival.

Parking and cabin access

Free parking is available beneath the wooden parking structure. Please do not block the front gate when you arrive.

The cabin is reached by an approximately 200-foot gravel path. Vehicles cannot drive directly to the cabin, but wagons are provided to help transport luggage.

Guests with limited mobility should consider whether the gravel path will be suitable before booking.

Other things to note
A working farm in the forest

The Lighthouse is located on an active farm in a wooded mountain environment. This is not a conventional hotel or resort experience.

You may encounter:

Large dogs, cats, sheep, and chickens
Animal sounds
Dirt, dust, insects, and wildlife
Uneven outdoor surfaces
Seasonal weather and changing mountain conditions

Our animals roam freely and are an important part of the experience. Guests must be comfortable around large dogs and farm animals before booking.

Please keep food inside the cabin and keep the door closed to avoid attracting wildlife.

Sustainable mountain living

The property uses solar-generated electricity and well water. The cabin includes air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, and the modern comforts needed for a relaxing stay.

Because our resources are generated and maintained on-site, we kindly ask guests to conserve water and electricity. Please turn off the air conditioning, heating, lights, and appliances when leaving the cabin.
