The Mallard Room is a luxurious guest room/suite with private entrance located on a quiet, two acre waterfront property right in Bass Harbor and mere minutes to Acadia hiking trails. The room has a king bed, gas fireplace, private furnished deck, bathroom with jetted double tub and separate shower, robes and slippers, organic toiletries, and all the amenities one would expect from an upscale boutique inn. Also included is exclusive use of a guest pantry/kitchenette (no stove) and laundry room.

The space
This property, located on the Quiet Side of Mt. Desert Island, boasts 700 feet of waterfront harbor shoreline. Watch for loons, cormorants, eagles, osprey, and even the occasional harbor seal at high tide. Adventurous guests are free to explore the rocky terrain exposed at low tide. And you can bring your own kayak for launching into the harbor right outside your door.
The iconic and picturesque Bass Harbor Lighthouse, the scenic Ship Harbor and Wonderland nature trails of Acadia National Park, the Bass Harbor Island Nature Cruise, and Thurston’s Lobster Pound are all close by. The shops and restaurants in Southwest Harbor and the swimming beach at Echo Lake are just slightly further.
