Gary and his wife are amazing people! Super warm and friendly. Brought us fresh eggs from their chickens. The home is beautiful in an absolutely beautiful neighborhood. While we were there we experienced a tornado warning and some tree damage in the area. We lost power for 2 days, but the weather was beautiful after it passed and we stayed at the home. Gary offered to put us up in a hotel, but we really just wanted to stay. He offered a generator, which we didn’t need. This home truly is a sanctuary in the mountains and 10 minutes from downtown. Perfect location. We will definitely be staying there anytime we are visiting family in Huntsville! Thank you so much Gary and Tammy!

This place is truly perfect. Perfect size, perfect vibes, perfect amenities. It has this cozy, lived-in feel that made it so much more comfortable and personal than your average Airbnb. Like staying at a friend’s well loved retreat. The décor was so fun and nostalgic. The cabin is clearly cared for and curated with love. The couch is unbelievably comfy, like I wish I spent more time on it... By the end of the trip we had already decided this is our spot from now on, whenever we need to reconnect or unplug. The location is a peaceful, quiet lake town that feels like a secret gem. The surroundings were serene and we found ourselves slowing down and really relaxing in a way that’s rare. Sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the morning and taking cold plunges in the pool/warming up by the chiminea, it was great. And the hot tub is very easy to work!

Kay's place was great. It looked just like the pictures. She was very responsive to questions. The home was very spacious and set up perfect for our two families. I would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this place! The kids especially enjoyed the pool — it was a major highlight and made the trip even more fun. The home is secluded, which gave us peace and privacy, and the thoughtful touches throughout made it feel extra special. The bathroom was stunning, and the sauna was such a great bonus. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and just beautiful. Although we had to travel an hour to Huntsville for our activities, we didn’t mind the drive at all because we knew we were coming back to such a wonderful home. The host was incredibly accommodating and even allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend this place — we’d definitely stay again!

This is our second time staying in Julia’s home and I’m sure it won’t be the last. We stayed an entire week and relaxed as if we were home and we had all our needs met. Everything about her home is comfortable, clean and accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet and Julia is a responsive host. I appreciate the fact she puts effort into her home, the sheets, bedding and towels are all hotel quality or better. The way each room is decorated doesn’t go unnoticed and is appreciated.

The house is beautiful; the surrounding area is also beautiful. We were here for a wedding in Section, and wow was the surrounding area with the lakes, rivers and rolling hills, beautiful. Cary was great to work with, answered any message that was sent right away. We had an issue getting 1 tv to work, and she stopped by and got it working. Would definitely stay again if traveling to ALABAMA.

Amazing place to unwind after a busy semester of teaching. Jamie’s cottage is well built, comfortable, and above all quiet. We spent restorative hours listening to the birds on the front porch with our morning coffee and lying by the neighborhood pool next door. Jamie is an excellent host in that she gives her guests space and is quick to respond if an issue arises. I would stay here again, no question

We rented a pontoon one day from Val Monte and had some great people watching at Casey's one afternoon as well. Thanks for your hospitality. We'd would definitely come back!

My family and I had a great time staying at John’s place. All the necessities were available and had no issues. I would say pay attention to the maps of when you are there. Since there are lots of trees and hills in the area, the driveway sneaks up on you. There is an “available for lease “ sign right next to the driveway that helps a lot. Pictures of the house are exactly as posted. I would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at Paul’s place was perfect for our family! Extremely clean, beautifully furnished, and stocked with items that made are stay easier. Would absolutely stay here again

We rented this home for a weekend so my husband could do some fishing at the lake. Unfortunately the weather was stormy and not ideal for lake fun but the home was a great fit for our family and boat ramps are super close. Restaurant down the street was very good and the neighborhood is quiet which was great. Check in was easy and the communication from host was clear and easy to understand

The cabin is in a great location with privacy and easy access from the highway. It’s in a great location for fishing and is close to several boat ramps and a bait shop. I Would definitely recommend this place.

It was a wonderful experience all the way around loved the cottage feel and the convince to all the shops and restaurants around , the host were awesome at responding to us when we had a question .

We stayed in this beautiful home recently to attend a wedding. Since we were coming all the way from Michigan we wanted to make it a mini vacation and this home fit the bill. The home is well appointed with plenty of room for our group of 8. The furnishings were stylish and comfortable and the open concept living room and kitchen area was great for entertaining. The sunroom was a hit with our kids! We also loved the master bedroom suite and everyone thought the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed a lake day after the wedding and that was just what we needed. We brought a paddle board and the with the kayak, really enjoyed exploring the lake. We would definitely recommend this home. We wish we had more time to explore the area and hope to return!!

This was a great place to stay. It’s a nice neighborhood, and the house is very well kept, clean, and organized. Clear instructions stating where everything is in the home as well as check in and check out details were provided. The host is very responsive. I would highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Living. This was our second stay and hopefully won’t be our last. The home and boathouse are beautiful and the location is central to town. The bream fishing off the dock was great which really made my grandmother happy. Eric is a great host who always communicated well. He also went above and beyond to handle any questions or concerns that we had. Highly recommend.

Our stay here was everything we hoped for and more. The house was spotless, comfortable, and private. Even though it was on a street in a residential neighborhood, this home is far enough down the driveway and surrounded by woods, so it felt like we were in our own little paradise. Best of all, access to local hiking trails and parks was just minutes away. If we ever make our way back to Fort Payne, we will certainly try to stay here again. It was an amazing weekend!

This was a wonderful stay! Wonderful hospitality! Plenty of towels/wash cloths, garbage bags, laundry detergent, anything you need. It was perfect. Mary/Judy was great and responded quickly to every message, even brought us more firewood within 5mins of us asking for a recommendation on where to purchase some wood. We will stay here again!

This was my first time to Alabama and staying in a tiny home. The place is immaculate. I loved every bit of it. Everything was very clean, organized and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend and definitely look forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed our stay at this house in the woods! It comfortably fit all 10 of us. The dining room was too small for us to all eat at but we were able to eat outside. One thing that is a bit odd is the one bedroom downstairs is through the bathroom and one of my kids locked me in the room one night. It has a door to the outside so I was able to go around and go unlock the door. There was quite a bit of poison ivy on the property so just be careful walking outside. The neighborhood is growing so there was some construction going on across the road but they didn't start too early and it wasn't too noisy. Overall the stay was good, the house was clean, and we had a good experience. We would definitely come back again!

Great place for the whole family to enjoy. Clean and plenty of space to gather together but also have your own bedroom space. The pool table was super fun!
