Vacation rentals with lake access in Gera Lario

Absolutely lovely stay! The villa is beautiful, clean, and very authentic with a cozy atmosphere. The host was incredibly kind, she gave us great tips on places to visit and a local café that was both delicious and affordable. We especially appreciated being allowed to leave our luggage after check-out, very thoughtful! The view is stunning, the beds are super comfortable (both a large one and two smaller ones), and the bathrooms were great. We also loved the little treats left for guests, such a sweet touch. Highly recommended, and we hope to come back soon!

We had a wonderful week at Carmen's house. The location in Spurano/Ossuccio was perfect because it was quiet yet within easy walking distance of local bars and restaurants. The Greenway provides good walks around the area, including accees to the chapels of the Sacri Monte. The sports bar in Ossuccio was great value for money and we also ate at the lido in Sala Comacina. From there you can also get the boat to the Isola (very peaceful - we had the whole island to ourselves) and you can find Amalia Ostinelli's grocery store for all your essentials. The kitchen diner is superbly equipped and stays cool even on the hotest days. The bed is really comfortable and the whole house is beautifully presented... old and quirky but with all the modern comforts you would expect. On top of that you're literally a few steps from Lake Como. We loved the spa, especially the jacuzzi. All in all we loved it. We were sad to leave and could have happily stayed another week. We hope to return one day.

Bellagio is a beautiful place and the apartment is just out of town and a bit far for walking in my opinion. Lovely location overlooking the lake and host was great with communications and the apartment was lovely and very comfortable. Would recommend a car for the location.

Right in front of the lake.. Has a little patio where you can have your coffee. Peaceful. has a dual heater and a/c unit that works great for quick temperature changes.

We had such a great time visiting here. It was a bit of a walk to the house but very doable. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Riccardo was extremely responsive during our visit too. Menaggio was the perfect area to stay at Lake Como. All of the charm and half of the crowds. We Hope to come back again someday.

Such an amazing place right at the lake side, so peaceful & beautiful. Apartment was clean, tidy, very bright, we enjoyed big windows. Chirping of the birds early morning while having coffee on the terrace was music for our ears. We celebrated mini honeymoon here & did not regret. Only thing we regret is not staying longer. Paola met us for check in and was extremely helpful from the moment we booked the trip even after checkout when our plane ride to Milan cancelled last minute she helped us find new transportation. The space is beautiful and close to everything!

Fabio was a great host. He was very proactive, to the point of telling about a train strike the day we were suppose to arrive. He allowed us to get in early and checked in with us several times to make sure we were doing well. This is a great place to stay. The view was spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.

The greeting upon arrival was excellent, we were offered an upgrade as some guests had cancelled due to weather, a nice gesture! The appartment was well furnished, clean and very comfortable. The location is excellent. Far enough from the busy touristic Bellagio but close enough to walk. The ferry pick up is just steps away. The grounds are immaculate and large enough to get a good run in every morning (5km) track style staying on the stone path that twirls the 42 hectar property. The grounds allow you great views of Tremezzo and Villa Carlotta accross the Lake and you can swim if the tempersture permits on the stairs that access the Lake. This is really a great place to stay! Impeccable accommodation! Easy to access and very clear instructions.

Andreas is really a super host: very friendly and accommodating, we were even allowed to use his garage space. Communication was extremely straightforward and everything was well described. The location of the historic house is unique: unique views of Lake Maggiore and the mountains as well as the wonderful garden and the super equipped loggia in front of the apartment invite you to linger. The village shop can be reached on foot in 5 minutes and is equipped with the most important for everyday needs. The apartment is very tasteful but also practically furnished. Everything is there (even coffee!), the bed is very comfortable, and the view from the bedroom is unique. It was still a little cold during our stay, but we were able to heat the rooms well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Cà la Rocca and can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Amazing stay at the Orange Spot! The place and location was perfect and just as described... and the view got a real WOW response! The accomodation was larger than i expected, and really charming. The large walk in closet/wardrobe was also really useful and we made use of 2 terraces, relaxing and taking in the view and life on the lake. This is a perfect place to explore Lake Como and all it has to offer, and just a 5 minute walk to the square with great restaurants and Ferry. Domingo was a great host and so helpful and responsive - we will certainly be back. 😊

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful apartment! The space was spotless, stylishly decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The bed was cozy, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the overall atmosphere made us feel right at home. One of the best parts was the location—just steps away from the ferry terminal, which made exploring the area incredibly easy and stress-free. Daniela, the host, was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, friendly, and very responsive to any questions I had. She even allowed me to check in early, which was a huge help and really set the tone for a relaxing stay. Her hospitality made the whole experience even better. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the area, and I’m already looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Claudia’s Lakeside apartment was wonderful! It fit our family of four perfectly. The apartment is tastefully decorated, has an incredible view and is removed from the bustle of town yet only a 10 min (uphill) walk away. Claudia was a wonderful host and helped with transportation and local recommendations. Would highly recommend this place!

We loved the place! Awesome scenery, beautiful house, quiet and great energy.

Such a lovely stay in this cozy, charming cottage in Nesso! The garden was perfect for lounging in the sun, and we lucked out with beautiful weather. Check-in was super smooth with clear instructions and videos. While we didn’t meet our host, she was very responsive and helpful with local tips. We were greeted with pastries and prosecco, which was such a nice touch! The house is small but great for a short stay. A/C and heating worked well. Bathroom is tiny and hot water ran out quickly, but manageable. There’s a washer (we didn’t use it) but no iron. Heads-up: the steps down to the house from the road are steep! Also, a few things from the listing (like chickens or a certain seating area) weren’t there. We used the bus to get to Como—it’s easy once you figure it out. Overall, our host was wonderful and we’d totally stay here again!

Impeccable accommodation, easy to access and close to some of the villages to visit!

We had a fantastic time staying in Dervio at Francesco’s place and exploring the towns surrounding lake Como. The place is perfect for so many reasons, the location is great, right on a small beach with amazing views and a walking path that takes you into town. It’s a short 7 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes to downtown area with restaurants. There are tons of old walkways that allow you to explore the area. We spent a couple days taking the train and ferry to Bellano, Veranna, and Bellagio (very happy to be in Dervio). We also have two small kids and found the place was great for families with crib, beds with guard rails, and a high chair, along with a playground that just out the front door. The gates were excellent for preventing kids from going to the road or to the lake. The best part was Francesco and his family, they are very warm and welcoming! We spent time with him, his father, aunt, and cousin and very much enjoyed getting to know them!

Daru’s place is even better than the pictures, incredible views, beautiful bedrooms and fully equipped with all the amenities you may need.

My wife and I recently stayed here for 11 days and loved it. Sara herself is a bundle of joy. This cottage is located on a hillside outside of Centro. The interior is a combination of warmth (timbered ceilings) and contemporary (kitchen). What takes it from being a pearl to a diamond is the elevated deck/patio which has glass walls, which has a spectacular view of the lake and the mountains beyond. The deck has a table and chairs and lounge chairs. If you bring a car, get a compact or subcompact as parking everywhere is difficult. If you are in reasonably good condition you can walk to and from the cottage on several stone paths. Sara also owns River Side in San Giovanni, a wonderful but simple bar/restaurant on the shore of Lake Como, which became one of our favorite spots. There is also a wonderful patisserie an easy 10-15 minute walk away. Also, there are two grocery stores within a ten minute walk. I wish I could say more but I have run out of space.😊
