Waterfront vacation rentals in Exmouth

We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

Excellent in all respects - location, facilities, and very comprehensive information about the place and manuals / instructions for all appliances. Lovely views from the airbnb and easy access to transport to various local spots.

James is a lovely host, excellent and clear communication. The flat is perfect base to explore the local area. We had a lovely holiday!

What a wonderful place, it was light, airy and clean with beautiful views from both sides of the apartment. We especially enjoyed having breakfast watching the goings-on in the harbour through the kitchen window. Plenty of excellent cafes and beautiful walks to go on nearby, we would highly recommend this apartment.

This was a first class stay. The studio was spotless, comfy and well-equipped. There was a lovely extra touch of home made chocolates on arrival. The host was very helpful, friendly and unobtrusive. Recommend!

This was my 2nd time staying at Zaneta's apartment and did not disappoint again. The apartment is beautiful and in a stunning location. Zaneta was very responsive to messages and answered all questions quickly. I will definitely stay again on my next visit - hopefully, it will be available!

Jen’s place is an absolute gem. The house, garden, and surroundings are beautifully kept, and we were warmly welcomed, with clear guidance about the amenities and local area. Great pressure in the shower and slept like a log every night. The Sail Loft is immaculately clean, and is the perfect place to stay in the area. Thanks for having us Jen & Andy!

Perfectly situated with stunning views. We didn’t use the car at all during our stay as the local buses run in all directions. A visit to the Steam Packet Inn is a must for a tasty meal & a drink. We were lucky that our stay coincided with the Dartmouth Music Festival & enjoyed live music on 2 nights in the Steam Packet. The area is a walker’s delight with a range is walks to suit all abilities. I cannot recommend this wonderful Airbnb highly enough & hope to return for another stay in the future. I didn’t want to leave!

Wonderful location and comfortable, well designed home. A little village out on its own with so much character and some great walks which are medium hard but good distances either way - to the left in the next village the Cricket Inn is delicious food and friendly staff - to the right a lighthouse. The views and beach really make this place… as well as being a close drive to Salcombe and Dartmouth. The house being is well stocked, stylish and comfortable so makes for easy living. We were a family of 7 and a dog and would highly recommend it. We did a Sainsbury’s food delivery to the house twice to make getting groceries easy and that worked perfectly too.

A beautiful property. With all modern facilities and many features. You could stay here a long time. You definitely need to be ok with steps as there are quite a few to the entrance (wants problem for us). Parking is quite “tight” below the property.

Lovely house with fantastic views. We had a great stay. Slightly tired interior and outside seating area would’ve benefited from a lick of paint. Very peaceful, the Bridge restaurant is a stones throw from the house, good food but quite expensive. The Mountbatten Bar was a short walk away. Very good, reasonably priced food. The water ferry was a great adventure to get to the Barbican and once there a good walk into Plymouth. Overall a lovely stay

A beautiful place in a perfect location next to the beach in Lyme Regis. Tristan was a great host and we would couldn’t recommend highly enough.

What a wonderful week! This villa provided a perfect blend of luxury and privacy for our family. Our two-year-old had an absolute blast with the pool and the thoughtfully equipped playroom, which made our holiday so much more relaxing. We loved waking up to the beautiful views each morning, and the inclusion of a rowing boat was a fantastic perk that we thoroughly enjoyed. The convenience of being a short 10-minute walk to Dittisham pier was excellent, allowing for easy boat excursions to Dartmouth and other lovely spots. A truly fantastic stay. We're so grateful for your hospitality and would highly recommend this villa. Thank you!

Really beautiful home and holiday venue. Great amenities. Lots of bathrooms and a ground floor room with bathroom for less mobile family members. Really sociable home

Great stay that gives you so much more than you would get for the same price as a Travelodge. Small but well laid out and ample room for 2 + infant and a dog. We particularly enjoyed the location.

A superb location and a great place to stay. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean and only a few steps away from food shops. David was very helpful and friendly and we would happily return for another holiday.

The flat was spacious and very well equipped. We overlooked the harbour and had exceptionally easy access to the beaches and coast path in both directions. We liked having a dedicated parking space; this was very close to the flat which made unloading easy. West Bay is very pretty so there were many photographic opportunities. The people living locally were very friendly. There's a footpath to Bridport which made a walk into the town on Market Day very easy. Perfect for us!

We absolutely loved this apartment! I’d previously stayed in the hotels in Plymouth whilst visiting family and thought we would try an Air B&B and I’m so glad we found this place. The location is excellent - down a quiet street, right next to Hoe Park and 10 a min walk to the Barbican. There’s a well-stocked Tesco on the corner too. Parking was a breeze with lots of spaces on the main street. The apartment itself is just so lovely and homely with bags of character. It’s a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures and there were so many thoughtful little extras, including a beautiful welcome hamper and lovely toiletries. All the necessary appliances and kitchen bits were there, and thankfully easy to use! It was spotlessly clean and had plentiful towels, and also big fluffy pillows on the very comfortable beds. Our hosts were fabulous and checked in by text regularly to check we had everything we needed. Would give 6 stars if I could! :)

Rebecca 's place felt just like our home. Everything was exactly the same as described in the images. The apartment is neat and tidy; all amenities are functioning properly. The ambience was calm and quiet. Becki was indeed a kind, responsive and friendly host. The place is worth for its price, stay and amenities Nevertheless, I found it hard for the grocery shops which is almost 0.5- 1.0 miles away. Overall, it was great and lovely stay at Rebecca' s place.

A wonderful place to stay right in the heart of West Bay. The apartment had everything you need and was spotless. The welcome gifts were a lovely gesture. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and we will be back.

Another lovely stay at Palmdene. This place really is home from home and so comfortable. Love being able to stare out to see from both the kitchen and the living room. Everything we need is there. Great place for going onto Paignton beach (approx 10 mins) or go over the top and head to Goodrington beach, it will take a bit longer but the views are stunning. Booking again very soon.
