Lovely coastal home with hot tub, dogs welcome

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a great stay in the house. Our group was 4 adults, 2 children and a dog and it was the perfect size for us all. The house was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The location was very peaceful and so quiet at night we all got great sleep. We visited Bude, Clovelly and Widemouth over our 4 day stay and it was perfectly located for them. Roger provided all the information we needed beforehand with guides to everything we could possibly need. He also responded to messages straightaway. The hot tub was a nice bonus and easy to use. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting in the garden. I can't think of anything that would have improved our stay, I would definitely love to return.

Owl Barn @Strawfields.

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed in a Owl barn with our 2 year old. Beautiful setting, clean and homely with spectacular garden. Our daughter absolutely loved her holiday home, enjoyed the trampolines and all the kids friendly equipment. We loved all the toys provided in the accommodation. But the best part was the animals. Alpacas was our favourites . Alex the host is very friendly and welcoming, we had a chance to feed ponnies and alpacas one morning. Thank you for having us , we will be coming back. As our daughter described, best holiday ever 😊

Ferndale Cottage

What a fabulous stay, couldn't have asked for better. Such a tranquil village and the cottage was idyllic, hearing the birds and church bells and nothing more. Just what we needed. The garden was perfect for our little girl and the dog to play football and had all you need to eat nicely alfresco, as the kitchen opens out. The pub is quite something, a truly quaint village pub and we had a lovely meal there one night. Def recommend. Alison was a lovely and helpful host and had all the information we needed. Thank you for letting us stay to unwind, we will be back. Just wonderful!

Orchard Cottage; hot tub, tennis, spacious grounds

JoshRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Lower Marsh Farm is brilliant. Wonderful location, excellent facilities, peaceful and calm. Due to the rural location, you do need a car to get there and navigate the area. Olivia the host is incredibly attentive, the instructions for getting there are clear, the optional services are excellent, and the setting is idyllic. We visited with two young children who were captivated by the wildlife and farm animals. Enjoy!

3 Bed Family cottage close to beach, Sea View.

AkkeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Nice quiet location, but just a single minute walk from the Lyme Regis city center. Ten minutes walk to the closest parking area, but there is room to park temporarily and pack/unpack. Kitchen and living room are well equipped, with lots of books to read and movies to watch if the weather is bad (it wasn't). Good smart TV that provided lots of viewing options. Rooms were clean.

Charming seaside cottage - Budleigh Salterton

GabrieleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay at Lyndale Cottage. It has a cosy feel to it and is very comfortable, it is well equipped, the location is very convenient, just a few minutes to the beach, the nature reserve, and the shops. Parking in the neighbouring street above the cottage was easy. We enjoyed our welcome treat of cream tea scones, which was lovely to have on the outdoor patio. Katie is very friendly and helpful without delay: a small technical problem was swiftly dealt with and resolved. I'd love to come back here one day!

Surridge Cottage - Peaceful retreat

HannahRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Surridge Cottage is beautiful, as soon as we arrived down the lane we knew it would be perfect and it was and more. The cottage has been beautifully restored with high end finishes. Even the heated floor in the bathroom didn't go missed (my daughter loved it). Great location, we took a few trips out. Went into Lyme Regis and took the children to Crealy. If you want a private country break in a cottage, you won't beat it. Thank you, The Mellors x

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a great week. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. All the crockery, utensils and pans you need for cooking. Hot tub was certainly a favourite and well used! Nice to have plastic ‘glasses’ for use outside. Great selection of games was a nice surprise. Being able to walk the dog right from the doorstep made it so easy - we really enjoyed exploring the smallholding. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers and support. Yes, the Tesco delivery man did manage to find us and unload :-)

Dog friendly cottage with hot tub and fishing

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A lovely hidden gem tucked away in beautiful countryside. We went for a relaxing weekend to chill out and were not disappointed. It's often difficult to find somewhere that accepts four Dalmatians but Sally was extremely dog friendly and we felt very relaxed. The place is in a beautiful setting with attractive fishing lakes to walk around. The house had everything we needed, comfortable beds and we enjoyed the hot tub very much. Nearby Swanacott woods was a ten minute drive away and a great place for the dogs to let off steam. They needed to do this as the free range chickens did tease them a little but luckily none of them ended up in the pot!

The Ballroom Cottage at Cutthorne

YvetteRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a gem of a place. Tranquil, lovely views from the bedroom, cosy cottage with a relaxing modern feel to it. Thankful that Chris/Freya could accommodate at the last minute, as we booked the night before quite late. We had a lovely surprise when we arrived, to find out a few lambs were resting in the small barn next to our garden patio with their mamas before they could be released into the field. It was such a highlight seeing the lambs jump around and stretch their legs as we sipped our coffees in the morning. Great location, approx 40min drive to Heddon Valley (we did a 24km run/hike from Heddon to Combe Martin, with a stop and looped back), and it's a 12min drive to Withypool if you want to do a big circular loop approx 12km to the Tarr Steps and back. You will have suggestions of places to visit in the welcome pack and a mal on the wall. The cottage comes with all the kitchen appliances you need. We also got to purchase some fresh eggs too, tasty! A perfect short weekend stay :)

Bramble Cottage on the edge of Exmoor

TimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely little place, particularly special was the beautifully wild cottage garden with its wildflowers, insect and bird life, space for the kids to roam around and views over the valley. Our three children (aged 8, 6 and 4) really enjoyed having the animals around, and Sarah kindly talked us through their names and personalities at feeding time. We had some lovely day trips to Lynton & Lynmouth, Woolacombe and Watermouth Castle which were easy striking distance. I’d certainly recommend this place to anyone with young children and would visit again!
