Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Delaware County

Our second stay at Mamle´s house was just as nice as the first one. This is a lovely place with spacy rooms. The house lies in a quiet road but is still very close to shops and Wynnewood railway station. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This time, the magnolias outside were in full bloom, which was magnificent. Mamle is a very nice and considerate host. She replied quickly to our questions and made sure that we had a great time. We’ll be back!

Susan is a wonderful host! She is warm, welcoming, and an excellent communicator! The cottage was cozy and had all the things we needed, including comfy bed and couch! Our dogs enjoyed having free space in the back, although it's a bit more wild/natural than they are used to. The neighborhood is cute and whimsical and we enjoyed walking around. It was also convenient to Wilmington, shops/restaurants, and a bunch of state parks.

My gang of friends agreed we’d happily come back here again - lovely setting & big driveway for parking; comfy bedrooms and generous number of bathrooms; well-equipped kitchen compared to most rentals; pleasant but unobtrusive decor; and short, clear host instructions. And it was so warm for December that we even got to hang out on the patio, also comfy & welcoming. I think the only things (and they were very minor) that we’d recommend adding would be conventional potholders, a few more sets of silverware, a couple more DR chairs, and a reminder sign about the step down from the kitchen into the DR. Overall, would definitely recommend!

A bit quirky, but very pleasant and comfortable. Beautiful spring weather, and lovely to sit on porch overlooking creek and listen to morning and evening bird chorus. Jack was easy-going, helpful host, and the house has fascinating history. Near a lot of interesting places to visit (just down the street from Newlin Mill, under restoration, very cool). Another commenter was right about the steep/narrow spiral stairs requiring care, but they proved not a problem for us.

This place was amazing to stay at! We loved the huge kitchen and there was plenty of space for our family of five. Our kids had a great time running around the big backyard and we went on several walks around the local neighbourhood, which was very picturesque and peaceful. What a lovely place to visit!

We stayed at David’s place for a long weekend with our 3 teenage kids. The house was nicely furnished, clean, and comfortable. We were mostly spending time with family who are local, but the house is very conveniently located near Ardmore, which has nice shops and restaurants. David was proactive about communicating and very responsive when I had questions. I would stay here again!

Abdul was very communicative. He also was flexible with our check in/check out times. The complimentary wine and water was a simple gesture and was great touch!

We stayed at Aaron’s on short notice due to a problem in our house nearby. Aaron was very flexible and accommodating even on such short notice. The surroundings were quite peaceful - enjoyed seeing the wildlife in the morning. Everything we needed was there and the cottage and location helped settle us while we continued to deal with water damage issues in our own home. Great place to just relax and chill.

I just had a wonderful stay at this cozy Airbnb with my mom while visiting my brother at Saint Joe’s University. The location was perfect—just a short drive to campus! The house felt warm and inviting, especially with the brand-new fireplace. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. Christopher, our host, was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

Very spacious place that was perfectly located for us. The host had great communication. We will be staying here again in the future.

Loved our short term stay. The place is off the beaten path but close to everything including good shops and restaurants around Swarthmore. Very quiet. Parking was easy. The house is old - uh, historic - but that adds to the charm. Bill and Shawnee were very helpful and very responsive. They gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant and we ate there three times in two and half days. Good experience and highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay. Sophia was very responsive if we had any questions. The home was just as pictured with comfortable beds and everything spotless. We would definitely come back again.
