fantastic mountain getaway. at first we were bummed the weather was going to keep us inside but this Airbnb made it such an enjoyable and relaxing vacation nonetheless. beds were very comfortable, space was beautiful, and such a bonus that they provided the firewood for evening fires. will absolutely be coming back to see this space intiple seasons.

Our second year staying and can’t wait to return next year for our annual girls trip! Love this cabin, it’s so comfortable and well stocked. Feels like home and it’s surrounded by such beautiful trees!

Beautiful place me and my boyfriend came here for his birthday we had the best time! Brandi had the space nice and clean when we got there. She is has excellent response time and is very friendly. The cabin itself was amazing the view was incredible! being able to go out and kayak was amazing. The perfect get away for you and your partner! we will definitely be back!

The cabin was remote and wonderful. My kids (7 and 9) had a great time between the toys, books, games and river fishing and space to play. We had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves, cook good meals, and enjoy our time together. We felt safe and the place was expertly cleaned. Would definitely stay there again.

River House – 5 Stars My husband and I stayed in the River House for 4 days. We totally enjoyed ourselves there. It was exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet while gazing upon nature at its best. The house is very clean, neat and crisp with a touch of warmth everywhere. It has everything you could want for your stay, making it home-sweet-home. The house is nestled between trees and situated right on the bank of the Shenandoah’s running river. Enjoy the lush green forest across the river while drinking your morning coffee in the sunroom. You’ll see that this serene setting brings a daily refuge of birds nesting and hummingbirds feeding to the top deck. The sunroom is so cozy and inviting. It seems as if the house is on stilts sitting over the running river. The River House has two large decks, a patio and boats for your family’s enjoyment. Julia's place is an Idyllic setting - so tranquil, yet close enough to a great tavern for dinner. Amazing - we cannot wait to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house offered so many things for us to do as a family. We had such a good time playing darts, pingpong, board games, and hanging out around the fire pit. The Woods is our favorite place to go because of all the amenities. Highly recommend!

Reagan's place was so charming and perfect for our getaway! Everything was exactly as described. I appreciated the secluded and cozy nature of the cabin, but also the proximity to restaurants, stores and hiking trails. I highly recommend this cabin, and hope to return on a future getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at Levi’s place. The creek is clean and beautiful, Levi is very friendly and helpful, the cabin was very clean and neat and laid out as expected from the pictures. The front porch is a nice size. I loved hearing the stream in the evening and we all enjoyed the cows and horses in the field. It was not a problem at all but because we booked through Airbnb and had not checked out his outfitting site, I was not aware that there were also camping sites and it is possible you have will have RV’s and/or tent campers around you. We have a pop up ourselves so I don’t have a problem with that, but I wasn’t expecting it. We stayed mid week in April so only a couple camping sites were in use and weren’t next to us but I am sure it fills certain times of the year. Also, it is creek side but if there are paying fishers in the creek you need to be respectful of their space. We had a great time at the pond and appreciated the use of kayaks, paddle boat, and paddle board

Sean's place was beautiful and close to Berkley Springs but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. highly recommend this to anyone wanting a get away .

This was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Gorgeous view overlooking the river! The place was well decorated and we loved listening to the rain on the skylights in the living room. The neighbors were a little closer than expected, but wasn’t really an issue. Power went out one night (area outage), and Alison was responsive and proactive to provide a location of various lamps and lights. We were already using the grill on the incredibly back deck, so we weren’t really inconvenienced by it. I do appreciate the host keeping us updated on power outage.

Repeat visitor! We always look forward to and so enjoy our visits here. Can’t recommend enough for a few days away to enjoy some peace and quiet! Finally, as great as the home is, the communication from and thoughtfulness of the host is even better!

We a wonderful place! We wanted to quiet retreat and it fit the bill. Nestled in the forest, all you see and hear is natural. Yet the house had all the things so you had a quiet spot with all the modern features. We completely relaxed, cooked delicious food, went to a brewery and celebrated our anniversary in tranquility. Here are a couple of notes: Bring your stocks of groceries with you. There is Wegman’s closer to town but once you are there, you won’t want to pop down to get to the store. You really need a 4 wheel drive to get to the house because it is really off the beaten path. But it is totally worth it! It could be hard to fine but you are given step by step directions which are spot on. Bring a throw blanket if you use one home. They have a wonderful bed with a super comfy comforter! But if you like to read under a throw, no biggie just bring one! Tori is a great host! Very responsive! We simply loved this place and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

We had a great, relaxing stay!

This was absolutely the most amazing place and was perfect for a weekend get away with my partner. We were worried we would make it late due to traffic, but the host was very communicative and patient and ready for us when we got there. Luckily we made it 15 minutes before closing but they had said we weren’t last. One of the sweetest things was that they left the door open and the lights on for us! This small gesture was so excellent to me. We had a warm greeting by Mrs. Debby and we felt so welcomed and right at home. Also, the check in area has a little store that has everything you could possibly need for our little cabin trip. Overall, it was an excellent stay. Everything was clean, well organized, and I will definitely be staying here again one day!

Otter Valley Lodge is truly an amazing experience. Waking up to a spectacular view of the water and forest was very special. The peace and serenity we felt during our stay is just what we needed. One of the highlights was how much our golden retriever loved it! She was in absolute heaven swimming in the creek and exploring the wide open space. It’s rare to find a place that feels this special and is so dog-friendly. Kenny the caregiver was very helpful and his stories about the history of the lodge are great. Bettina really cared that our experience was a good one. We will back, I can’t wait to experience Otter Valley Lodge in the Fall.

The pictures don't do this cabin any justice. It was so beautiful and peaceful there! We seen lots of wildlife every morning. It was close to all the places we wanted to go and see. We felt right at home during our stay. We plan on staying again when we return to gettysburg. Chad was very responsive.

The place was awesome, cozy, and quiet. Had a nice dinner cooked in the kitchen, bed was nice. I would definitely recommend this place.
