Ali’s underground accommodation was fantastic! Our three kids ranging from 7 to 13 years old have been looking forward to staying at Ali’s for over four months and it did not disappoint! We loved it too! The carved out ‘cave room’ was a big hit and the kids absolutely loved sleeping “in the rock“. Ali was a wonderful and responsive host, very helpful. Coober Pedy is such an amazing town to explore! Thank you!

Mark is a true character and wonderful host. A man with a big heart, lots of stories and a lot of passion for preserving his beautiful land and cave. From the incredible views from the cabin balcony to the experience of camping in the cave, this was truly unique.

Tine's property is one of the best dugouts in the town. Has plenty of room for everyone (we were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids) with stunning views right at the gate. You'll be a fair 10-12 mins away from the town centre, driving past some roos passing by or spot them right above the ground after you walk out. Access to laundry, decent Internet connection, and a handful of kids activities make this dugout a perfect place to stay. Since we went off season, the property was the holiday and this dugout hit the brief really well for us to have a good time.

Fantastic stay in this unique earth house . Even better than description ! Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were invited to pick some of the vegetables in the garden which were delicious. It was very exciting to have kangaroos and exotic birds so close. The view from the roof across the valley was wonderful. We would love to think we could visit again

The "Earthworm" Underground House was an absolute treat! Packed with quirky charm and cozy vibes, it offered a true Coober Pedy experience. The design and attention to detail made it feel both unique and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and made sure everything was spot on. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something special in the Outback!

We had an amazing stay at the pop’n’in Dugout! A definite must experience if in the area to stay underground. We’re very glad we stayed for three nights as we had heaps to do and really loved the town. The outlook from the property was spectacular, enjoyed watching the sunrise, just magic 😍. Karen was an absolute Gem, really helpful with suggestions and so easy to talk to. I was concerned about security but needn’t have worried given the private location out of town. 100% recommend!

What a great experience! It felt like we were in a magical world designed for adventure. The unique underground stay was comfortable and cool, perfect for the Coober Pedy heat. The host was welcoming, and everything was well set up for a relaxing stop on our road trip. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a one-of-a-kind stay!

A beautiful dugout home! Absolutely was beyond my expectations! Sonia was so helpful in driving us to the location of the place since it didn’t show up on maps. She also gave us a tour of the home, and of the community which was an amazing experience. Would love to come back to white cliffs and would stay here again 100%. She goes above and beyond for her guests :)

Honestly the best place I’ve stayed through airbnb. Every detail of a pet friendly space that you need, Jo has thought of and incorporated. Plenty of coffee and tea options, the bed is sooooo comfortable and Jo is extremely kind and accomodating. Could not recommend this place enough! The cozy cave is exactly where you want to stay to experience Coober Pedy - and it’s underground!
