Cottage vacation rentals in Ashford District

We had a blissful time at the granary and would definitely recommend this place to others. It’s a beautiful building but the grounds of Coes Farm and the added bonus of having a pool (which if you are lucky is essentially a private pool all to yourself as it was always empty when we went in) make it an amazing place to unwind and rest. The property had everything we needed, including some little ducks who came to the back door to welcome us! We would also recommend a trip to Canterbury while you are here, it is a beautiful place to visit.

Aimee was an amazing host and when we had a question about the hot tub she rang back within 5 minutes. Aimee was lovely in person to when we saw her with her horses walking our dog. So friendly and chatty and the horses are lovely too. Such a beautiful little cottage, so peaceful and quiet, big enclosed garden with our dog Brody loved running around it. Hot tub was lovely too. Easy to find and clear and easy instructions to get to the place to. We will definitely be back to stay again and if you want a peaceful place to stay to get away from day to day stresses this is the place. Loads of dog walks around, the guest book had loads of helpful tips in. 10 minute driver from the white cliffs of Dover to. Thank you Aimee for being a fab host and such a lovely place to stay!

We had the most amazing time, we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather. The walks were lovely, the cooked breakfast was delicious and the hot tub was so relaxing. For a weekend without the kids we couldn’t ask for much more We will definitely return for another relaxing weekend

A lovely modern cottage, exactly as described and photographed. It was well kitted out and essentials were provided. The bed was super comfortable but just a gentle note that if you have any mobility issues the apex of the roof means that you cannot stand up straight around the bed and the bed is low but this was not a problem on our stay. Helena and Philip were both really friendly and helpful. My personal favourite touch was when Philip invited me to pick some roses from the cottage garden to take inside. The hot tub was a real treat but please be mindful that you are in someone’s back garden so not completely secluded if they are enjoying their own space. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back.

We came to celebrate my husband's birthday and it is just what we needed. Lovely location, peaceful surroundings, lots to do nearby and the pool and hot tub were an added bonus. Peter and Karen were amazing hosts. They were helpful with recommendations and gave us our own space. Would definitely stay again.

What a beautiful cottage! Exactly like on the photos, very charming. Surroundings are stunning, hot tub was a treat. The kitchen is very well equipped with anything you might need. Beds were comfortable and cozy. The conservatory was great to just sit and play board games and have lovely meals, was nice and warm and toastie in there and the views!! Pauline’s communication and response times were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. All I would suggest, if possible is perhaps to think of some sort of covers/shelter from the cold/wind by the hot tub. It was very windy and we still wanted to enjoy the hot tub, but it got very cold whilst inside. Some sort of coverings will work a treat. Pauline suggested some great pubs and things to do in the area. All and all my friends and I had a lovely stay. Thanks Pauline!

We stayed at Badger’s Den for the bank holiday weekend. What a great place! The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the pool and spa facilities are fantastic and the cottage itself is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. The location is peaceful and away from everything but you are close enough to the town if you need anything. Chris is a great host and couldn’t be more helpful, on hand with great recommendations to spend the weekend. We will definitely be back again

We stayed at Nina's in the Easter holiday with our two younger children. All of us were left enchanted by her beautiful home! we would love to revisit in the near future. The living room and open plan kitchen was perfect for our family. We enjoyed eating our meals with the garden doors wide open. I must say the garden stole the show with it's spacious hot tub! It's situated in such a mesmerising location where you look out to fields. Sheep can be heard constantly- something my three year old absolutely loved! We miss the serenity of the countryside and the beautiful views from the house! Definitely worth a visit! The surrounding areas are simply superb!

A lovely, comfortable cottage. All mod cons with benefit of the old cottage vibe. Well maintained, private, great location for local pub/shop/days out. Would not hesitate to recommend.

This was our second stay at Judins cottage and another wonderful break in such a special cottage. Sarah always goes the extra mile to provide such a beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage with everything you could possibly need plus a welcome basket including provisions such as fresh eggs and milk. Sarah is a friendly and welcoming host and we will be back to visit again soon.

A well-equipped, cosy, comfortable and peaceful place to stay with stunning views. Everything we needed for a weekend away. Lots of lovely walks from the lodge and lots to do in surrounding towns and villages. We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Plough which was in walking distance. Rye is close by as in the beach at Winchelsea and Camber.

We wanted to share how much we enjoyed our recent stay at ​this wonderful cottage. Absolutely gorgeous – the open-plan design and comfortable furnishings were perfect for catching up with friends. We were impressed with how well-equipped the cottage was. From the thoughtful selection of games and books to the​ well-stocked kitchen​, all appliances and utensils you could want and the lovely welcome basket of local treats, we appreciated every detail. The location was great. Being able to walk directly onto the beach from the pretty back garden was stunning, we had great weather, which allowed us to fully relax on the beach and enjoy morning runs. We had a delightful lunch at the Royal Oak, which was within walking distance (the steep hills were a bit of a workout!). ​Mark and Leanne were great hosts, always very quick to reply and sent local info before we arrived. Would 100% love to go back with my family this time (and soon!). Thanks very much for a great stay!

Tina was super friendly, kind and helpful. We felt it was home away from home and enjoyed preparing some delicious food in the nice kitchen We loved walking our dog in the common where there were deer, squirrels and beautiful bird life. We were even lucky to try the Neighbour’s free range fresh eggs from their rescued chickens who have a second chance at life. Badger’s Rest’s beds are very comfortable and it is very peaceful for sleeping. That was our experience. The coffee machine was appreciated also the washing machine. We were at our last stage of our 6 month holiday of England and this was a soft place to land & to catch up on business and prepare ourselves for going home to Australia 🇦🇺 Thank you Tina for your care. Everything was great and as described with a perfect location close to the sea front. Stephen was friendly and made us feel welcome upon arrival so it was easy to settle in and relax. A well deserved five stars!

Had a lovely time at Lynda’s cottage :). She was so helpful and answered any questions I had. The coastal and countryside walks are so close which made my stay even more wonderful!

Had a lovely few days over May bank holiday with friends and their 2 young kids. Being 7mths pregnant it was great to be so close to the beach too. Lovely little house, would recommend

Our stay at the cottage was exactly what we required. The location was ideal, the surroundings and grounds were great. The accommodation was great and Jo was a very responsive host. I would recommend the cottage as a great place to stay.

Wonderful little house, beautifully renovated, in a corner of heaven. the garden is idyllic, the horse and chickens have been the great attraction of our kids and the home produced honey was a treat! My husband is very tall and managed not to hit his head, he had to avoid the kitchen ;). Beds were comfortable and the shower perfect. ann was extremely responsive and accommodating. We loved staying in a place where the host lives, cares about it and can talk to us. It's a perfect place to visit Seven sisters and many other attractions.

The cottage is stunning, surpassing even the photos. Our stay was delightful. Its prime location allows easy walking access to everything. The thoughtful welcome package was a charming touch. Beds were comfortable, and the towels were high quality. Sky Sports and movies were a great bonus. We’d happily return.

We had a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage. Beautiful Airbnb and a great location- a few minutes from the beach and restaurants. Lovely sunny garden with furniture and a bbq. Comfortable beds. The stairs are steep but that’s called out in the description. We can’t wait to visit again!

We enjoyed our second visit even more than our time there in 2024. Hope to return next year.

We spent a lovely long weekend at Wren Cottage, a relaxing and cosy place for myself and my two boys (aged 8 & 11) and my parents. The cottage is very comfortable and light, with everything we needed and Lou couldn’t have been more helpful. We had some mixed weather but enjoyed time in the garden, as well as visiting Winchelsea, Petts Beach cafe and Rye Nature Reserve. We also spent time in charming and very picturesque Rye and enjoyed a pub lunch at The Two Sawyers, just around the corner from the cottage. A seven minute drive from the cottage is Icklesham recreation ground, which was great for when the kids wanted to kick a football, play basketball and go on the swings/slides. We also spent our last day in Hastings Old Town, browsing the streets, shops and cafes and the kids enjoyed the funfair rides. Wren Cottage felt like a home away from home, and we all agreed spending time there was a highlight of our trip.

Had a great stay at the cottage. Brilliant location for exploring Broadstairs. Only thing to note is bed in main bedroom is very firm which was fine for my husband but not for me!

We had a fabulous stay at Naomi's cottage. It was very peaceful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a few nights away. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was very powerful. The village is very pretty, some excellent walks from the door and a good pub just a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend - we hope to come back!
