Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Amherst

Had a wonderful stay at Mighty’s house on the lake. It was such a peaceful and beautiful area. The house was clean and tidy with a spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. It was reassuring to have our hosts right next door but there was a good amount of privacy. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings, taking the canoe out on the beautiful lake and having some space and time to wind down. I highly recommend this home for anyone looking to step away from life for a little while.

I stayed at Kaitlyn’s magical home with two friends during our Smith College reunion weekend. The house is historic, charming, cozy, and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and we rested well. The sounds of birds chirping and the many thoughtful details throughout the house made us feel welcome and at home. I hope to return!

This was a perfect place to stay for a solo traveler. Close to Northampton for meandering, close to hikes for more outdoors stuff. Carolyn gave great suggestions for places to go and was very friendly and responsive. The bed is very comfortable.

Lauren was a great host - very accommodating and easy to communicate with. She gave great recommendations and also had extra amenities for our baby which was so helpful. Recommend!

This is a clean updated home in close proximity to UMass Amherst. I appreciated the ability to do laundry (detergent provided) and make coffee. John and Kathy were very responsive and friendly. We will try and stay here again in the future.

We were three couples coming together for a college reunion in the area. The house fit our needs perfectly with plenty of space to relax and cook. The fireplace was a godsend during a May nor'easter. Victoria left detailed instructions and welcomed us with thoughtful touches like popcorn and local restaurant recommendations. We just can't recommend it enough if you're looking in the area. Our only regret was that we were unable to enjoy the outdoor fire pit given the weather.

Very cute apartment and more than what we needed for a one night stay on a wedding weekend! The downstairs has a charming sitting room and spacious kitchen with fridge, stove, and laundry. The stairs were a bit steep so be cautious! Upstairs a comfy soft bed with window AC and a large bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower. Jennifer was very nice about our last minute request to check in early to change for a 4 PM wedding. We would stay here again if we come back to the area! Thanks so much!

This first floor apartment is wonderful- homey, well equipped, on a quiet friendly street with lots of greenery, peaceful and easy. Parking was a breeze in a well marked space and the location is convenient to all things in and around Easthampton and Northampton, with good walking destinations, restaurants, and more. Rocky has many thoughtful touches and the kitchen was so well outfitted, I was sorry I didn't stay longer to do some cooking there!

Karen's place is very comfortable, is well equipped for cooking and eating-in, and is creatively and simply designed. I love a firm mattress, and this bed is the most comfortable I've slept in outside of my own house! The bathroom is small but beautifully designed and doesn't feel cramped. Her street is a quiet one, and my stay was very peaceful. Karen herself is friendly, responsive, and down-to-earth. I felt right at home for the whole week, and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

A beautiful apartment located in a lovely neighborhood. Walking distance to town and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable.

We stayed at the downtown apartment for two nights. Fabulous location and spacious loft like vibe. If you are looking to walk out the door and enjoy everything Northampton has to offer without having to get in the car, it’s a perfect spot.

We stayed 4 nights at Aisjah's beautiful rental for our daughter's wedding at Union Station Banquets. What a perfect location. Everything is within walking distance and yet the home is beautiful and quiet with gorgeous flowers all around. Absolutely spotless home that seems brand new; kitchen has new appliances and all the necessities and linens were plentiful and spotless. Bedrooms, living room and large full bathroom are upstairs while the kitchen and eating area are downstairs. Hope to have another opportunity to stay here!

This private apartment is cute and quirky and cozy. It’s in a beautiful and quiet location with great amenities in Florence and a short drive to Northampton. The apartment is spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I would happily stay there again.

Fantastic - I loved this place. Everything was beautiful and thoughtful. Walking right around the corner to everything you need was so nice. A really special place, I hope to stay again.

Heather was amazing. The place was just as described and immaculately clean. Any questions we had, Heather responded back in 10 minutes. All in all the property was a gem and Heather is a fantastic host. I would highly recommend this property to anyone for a short or long term stay.

The home was perfect and the location was great to use as a base to explore fall colors and the small towns of southern Vermont .

Ashley has a great place!! It was a fantastic place to visit with my friends and reminisce. Weirdly, this rental turns out to be the place my great grandparents lived and did business as my grandma grew up. I did not have any ghostly contact with my relatives in the apartment (I was kind of hoping and not hoping to see them 😂), but I still had such a meaningful time sitting in the spaces they did so many years ago. Ashley is an excellent host and I will come here again next time I “come home”. 😊

I had the pleasure of staying at the place owned by Gladys, and it was an unforgettable experience. When I arrived late at night, Gladys came to ensure my comfort and make me feel welcome. She greeted me warmly and even provided a snack, which was a thoughtful touch after a long journey. I was staying at Gladys's place because of my research internship at UMass, and her hospitality made my stay truly enjoyable. She genuinely cared about my comfort and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. One of the most memorable gestures was when she brought a Christmas tree to the apartment, adding a festive and cozy touch to the space. The apartment itself was exactly as described. Everything including the kitchen was clean, cozy, well-equipped, and well-maintained. What truly set this accommodation apart was the personal touch that Gladys brought to the experience. Her warmth and hospitality made me feel like more than just a guest; I felt like a valued friend.

My husband and I loved our stay at Jo Anne’s place, it was quite,clean private, easy access to parking and very affordable . Stocked with the necessities.

Beautiful and very clean space! We had the most wonderful long weekend at Goran's apartment. He was so responsive and super friendly... cannot recommend enough. We will be back!

Katie's place was great--very stylish, conveniently located, and well maintained/cleaned. Loved the renovation of the older building to create a contemporary space while incorporating some of the historic beams and brick work into the design. The living area and kitchen were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The beds were very comfortable. It was great to have a dedicated parking space. The street is busy and well lit, so we were happy to have ear plugs and eye shades when trying to sleep. The location is convenient to MassMOCA and some great restaurants. All in all, a fantastic stay!

We are repeat visitors. Staying here is always a pleasure. The apartment is wonderful. Just as described and perfect for day trips or just staying in. Mary and Lance are friendly and courteous. Hope to be able to stay here again when in the area.
