Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Wānaka

The accommodation is just wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay. It's not too far from the town center but is located on a peaceful and private street away from the noise and traffic. The accommodation has all the standard amenities, and perishables such as toilet paper and rubbish bags were well stocked. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. Kim was also very proactive and helpful in providing all the essential information. On the day we checked in, she also reached out to make sure we didn't have any issues accessing the apartment and everything was in order. Overall, we are very happy with our stay, and we highly recommend it to any other family visiting Wanaka.

Place was perfect for us for a long holiday . The location was perfect and the house had enough space for all of us and for the dogs . Yard was great and loved the privacy and the area. Did not realize how beautiful the place was until we went for walks and explored . So close to the lake and to great swimming spots. Would love to come back.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy family home 😊 We were traveling with a toddler and the host kindly provided us with a cot & a highchair, and generally there was a lot to do with a little one. The house has beautiful views and a big outdoor space, which we really enjoyed. Note there is no aircon in the house, so we had to ask the host to help us with the heating since April nights were really chilly. Overall a nice stay, thanks for having us!

Great accommodation in lovely part of Wanaka. Plenty of space for two couples travelling together (could accommodate more). Certainly utilised the verandah for looking at the spectacular view and enjoying Duncan’s Pinot! Can highly recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay in Wanaka.

Daisy was great! the place was VERY spacious and she gave me some great advice about some local hikes. I was actually bummed I didn't book another day while in Wanaka! When I mentioned that to Daisy, she even offered me another day but I had to run to another destination. the place itself was great and in a chill neighbourhood. loved it!

Lovely and cozy home. Huge balcony to do star-gazing. I love the bathroom which is extremely spacious and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped & has a rice cooker too. Plenty of wardrobe space, just like home.

Clean and comfy. Great value for money! Close to town - however the shortest route is the steepest hill I’ve ever seen. Would recommend.

Lovely place to stay had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Clean modern and private would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. The only thing I would recommend is a little stool for us short people to reach the top shelf :)

I found Uli’s place to be clean and peaceful during my stay. It has everything you need and is quiet, making it suitable for anyone who enjoys spending time alone. It’s a small town, and I took my time walking around. However, it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to walk to the lake. Be aware that there was some road construction ongoing, which made for a lot of uneven surfaces. Despite these, the property was great, and I would definitely book it again for my next trip.

A lovely home in an excellent location for wandering around tiwn and down to the waterfront. Alex always responded quickly (kindly asking the downstairs visitors to turn off a noisy fan left on 😂) and she was happy to update the booking when we got an unexpecteded visitor. Overall a great stay and we would definitely stay again. Cheers 😊

Lovely place to stay close to Wanaka. We loved that it was its own house so felt private and wasnt part of someone elses property. The house is a new build, very clean, well equipped and warm. Bakery and grocery store nearby. Offstreet parking. Very close to drive into Wanaka. Can't fault it in any way. Jane also went the extra mile as a host and borrow some luggage scales for our bags from her neighbour, so we had something to use ahead of our flight home. Excellent for a stay in Wanaka! Thank you Jane!

We could not have loved Wanaka and this condo more! Everything was so clean, located close to the town area, and Alex & Jesper were wonderful hosts! It was 3 days of bliss for us. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent room! Very clean and cozy. It was great having a tea kettle in the room and tea offered by the host! Great place to stay for the night!

We had a wonderfull time with Crawford and Janet. A lovely couple. The house is very big with a great garden, great view, great bed and shower. Wanaka is also a very nice town with lots of nice places. We highly recommend this place to stay!

Really enjoyed our stay and Belinda was very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything. Location is great — short walk to a couple good spots and a short drive to downtown Wanaka. Loved how peaceful it was.

The apartment was spacious, homely and clean. Some people might have a difficult carrying their luggage up 2 flights of stairs as it was on the 3rd floor. We were blessed to have a quiet stay, as the restaurant on the 2nd floor was closed temporarily during our stay. Host is responsive and helpful, will recommend for a short stay!

Our stay at Carmen’s was one of the best stays we had during our time in New Zealand. The apartment had everything you could want, including a nice box of chocolates on arrival! It was a walkable distance into the restaurants/bars in Wanaka, while also being private and peaceful. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, perfect for our stay in Wanaka. Finally Carmen was a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend staying here!
