Cabin vacation rentals in Vaksdal Municipality

The cabin was great for a cabin getaway! The hot tub was nice, and the paddle boards were a welcome extra activity. Would definitely recommend this cabin, however given the stairs and walk to the cabin, would not recommend for anyone with mobility restrictions.

Words cannot describe how beautiful this experience was from start to finish. But we will do our best. To start with the space itself, the location is ideally situated both in its proximity to local sites and the city of Bergen, as well as the cabins location off grid but close enough to civilisation to not be fully isolated. The space around the cabin between two waterfalls is gorgeous and was a truly fantasy like experience. The cabin itself is rustic yet modern where it counts, with a gorgeous bathroom and reliable and clean facilities throughout. The interior design and attention to detail is fantastic and you can really feel the love the owners have put in. Finally, the hosts are incredible, best hosts I've ever had. Friendly, enormously helpful, welcoming, offered privacy, offered advise and never made us feel bad for asking. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a magical stay, and they succeeded at every step! If you're thinking of booking, don't think twice.

Het was een prachtig, modern en gastvrij huisje van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijke stoelen om van het prachtige uitzicht te genieten. Van te voren kregen we van Elisabeth veel informatie over het huisje en wandelroutes. We hebben ons met onze vier kinderen ontzettend goed vermaakt. Bij slecht weer was er heel veel speelgoed en spelletjes en met goed weer konden we in het meer spelen met een sup en wandelen en 's avonds een kampvuurtje maken. Onze kinderen hebben ook zelf veel ontdekt en gespeeld in de bergen en riviertjes rondom het huisje. Het is dus een echte aanrader voor een ontspannen vakantie in de natuur.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this place! Everything was clean, cozy, and well-prepared for our visit. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing — perfect for a getaway. We especially appreciated how well-equipped everything was, from the kitchen to the small thoughtful touches around the space.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in der blauen Hütten, sehr gepflegt und gemütlich. Die Aussicht vom Sofa aus war fantastisch. Wir empfehlen die nahegelegenen Wanderungen zum Høgabu und zum Gollhorgabu.

Vi hadde et fint opphold i hytten til Johnny! Hytten var koselig og hadde mange gode turmuligheter. Kunne godt kommet tilbake😊

We had a really great week here with family. A very comfortable, cosy cabin! Linda is a great host, she is kind and attentive. The living room is really spacious with a well equipped kitchen. The weather was very rainy so we appreciated coming back to a warm place, it has a nice fire and plenty of hot water for a lovely bath or shower too. We even had a swim in the nearby lake despite the weather, and did lots of local walks and sightseeing. Great surroundings, I’m sure it would be beautiful in the snow too, would love to come in winter! The path was a bit wet up to the cabin, though we did have a week of torrential rain as it seems to have been a particularly wet August, wellingtons are useful. The first time we drove up the steep road we did struggle a bit as only have a small car, but as long as you get a bit of speed up at the bottom it’s manageable. Thanks for a lovely place to stay in the mountains, we would definitely stay again if back in the area!

Ich habe das erste Mal dieses Portal benutzt und habe wirklich gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Turid ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen wenn man die Ruhe und die Natur in Norwegen mag.

We spent only one night in this beautiful cabin, as we were heading for Bergen the next day. The cabin is nicely located in the mountains and very well equipped. We will definitely come back and stay longer.

The family spent a wonderful 5 summer days here and re-discovering the lovely Voss area of Norway. The house is situated in a beautiful rural location on part of a family hillside farm, and has a great deal of history and charm. It faces south and has a fine view, also with great walks from the front door, heading up a mountain valley and along a scenic river with some good bathing pools. Many thanks to Leon and Bente who were so helpful and friendly, and their local lamb was really tasty. The house is quite remote and quite a distance up a country track from local services and amenities. The bathroom is small but perfectly fine and clean, with good washing machine, and the wooden staircase is steep but also fine for us. The beds are very comfortable. We paid extra at the end for bedding & towels, electricity, & wi-fi (which was sometimes a little unreliable). As long as you love such typical country places, and know what to expect, you will have a memorable stay. We may return!

Jeg hadde to flotte uker i Camillas hytte! Veldig koselig sted å være: sitte foran peisen med en kopp kaffe og se utover vannet. Veldig nyttig med komfyr og kjøleskap på gass, og ellers belysning fra solcelle. Kjøkkenet hadde alt jeg trengte til å lage god mat. Vannet er fint å fiske i enten fra land eller fra båt. Skal du besøke hytten så ta gjerne med støvler - ganske våt sti fra parkeringsplassen. Kan absolutt anbefale å besøke hytten om du ønsker noen rolige dager med en god bok, eller om du vil ut å gå i fjellet :)

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Arsteins Hütte. Die Lage ist perfekt und wir haben die Zeit in der Natur sehr genossen. Wir sind viel Kanu gefahren und gewandert. Vielen Dank und wir kommen gerne wieder!

I had a such a peaceful and restorative stay! The host was unbelievably kind and helpful, and the space was perfect for my needs. It was very cozy with nice lighting and candles, a beautiful view, and cute little touches throughout. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare myself food, the bed was very comfortable, and the space is very well thought-out in terms of amenities and space. The location is gorgeous and I went for a few beautiful hikes straight from the Airbnb, with some recommendations from the host. It feels very remote and removed, but the Stanghelle train stop is only a 30 min walk or 5 min drive, so it is very accessible even with public transit. I did not drive so I cannot speak to the parking, but the host very kindly picked me up from the train station and personally showed me how to get into the cabin. I highly recommend this space and host and will be keeping an eye out for when the next door cabin is finished, as well!

Geweldig! Een prachtige hut die van alle gemakken is voorzien. Een mooi uitzicht op het meer. Een zeer grote hut, waarbij aan alles is gedacht. Complimenten voor de communicatie. Dit verliep heel vlot en soepel. Bjarte en Marit bedankt!

Vi hadde det veldig fint hos Monica! Barna storkoste seg med trampoline og lekehus, hunden varmet seg foran peisen etter lange turer i skogen rundt omkring, og vi voksne nøt roen og stillheten. Det var hyggelig også å bli kjent med busketrollene ☺️

Although we only spent one night at the accommodation, we took a lovely walk to explore the beautiful surroundings. Sunniva welcomed us with a warm and cozy home — the fireplace was already crackling when we arrived, filled with freshly added firewood. She even showed us a newborn lamb, which was such a special experience. The place has a very charming and inviting atmosphere.

Living in this cabin for a few days did me a world of good. It's the perfect place to recharge your batteries after a hard week's work. There's nothing superfluous, everything you need and a magnificent landscape. 🏔️✨ For the adventurers, the nearby Yksendalstølen hike is a must. 👌 Thanks to Jarand for everything!

Vraiment un Très beau chalet qui est vraiment à un endroit extraordinaire, et c’est sûr qu’il faut calculer un bon 45 minutes entre la ville de Voss et le chalet, mais je vous dis ça n’en vaut la peine. Personne vous ferait visiter cette magnifique route c’est avoir pour ceux qui aiment beaucoup la montagne . Très bien équipé toutes les commodités. Je vous suggère fortement cet endroit . Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Hôte.
