Due to COVID19 and the impact on our local community, I am not renting this cabin at all this summer. I realize it's an affordable option, but it also cuts in to local businesses that will be struggling given the impact of the virus. I encourage you to book at the: Talkeetna Hideaway cabins They are around two blocks from my cabin, ran by locals, and they could use the business way more than me! Sorry for any inconvenience to those who want to stay.
“We really enjoyed our stay in Talkeetna, Jeffry was a great host. He was responsive to our questions and gave recommendations for places to eat as well as the best places to see the Northern Lights. The cabin was plenty warm enough even when the temperature hit -20F outside. We would stay here again if we are ever back in Talkeetna.”

“This was the perfect spot for a winter weekend getaway. Everything was so clean, super warm as soon as we arrived, and a clear path through the snow to the front door. The whole place was very clean, and a plus that it was pet friendly! Did not hear any of the neighbors the entire time except for when they started their cars. WiFi worked great and so close to town. We will definitely be back in the summer!!”
Alaska-tough made yurt: the Alaska version of a traditional Mongolian nomadic home. Yurt life is much more connected to nature than conventional accommodation; connect to your surroundings; the sky, trees and song birds thru the skydome. If you need fancy accommodation, need to be catered to, if you do not enjoy the woods, do not stay here. If you want to experience rural Alaskan lifestyle, are independent, enjoy being immersed in nature, enjoy peace and quiet, you will love it here:)
“Such an amazing little space! The yurt is so super cute with so many amenities! Rachel has literally thought of everything! The only downfall (which has nothing to do with the host!) was the mosquitos. Bring plenty of bug spray and candles (which Rachel left a brand new one for us!) and maybe even one of those screened in pop ups and you’ll be golden. It really is such a cute little hippie yurt—we can’t wait to come back! Our pups loved it too!”
