Oceanfront Family Getaway - 8BR/6BA/5Acres

BarbieRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The most beautiful place, exceeding all expectations. The views are spectacular. We breathed in peace and tranquility. A fabulous place to celebrate my 80th birthday with the whole family -- 16 of us. Everyone was comfortable in the space. In addition to being the perfect host, Samantha provided surprise extras which was such fun! Just a few of the highlights: S'mores at the firepit, lobster dinners, seals, bald eagles and fireworks. She made our stay truly memorable. My family gives the place the highest recommendation.

Waterfront Great Pond Cottage w/ Hot Tub & Deck!

AshleyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Our stay at the Great Pond Airbnb was incredible! The house was beautiful, cozy, and fully stocked with all the amenities we needed. We especially loved the paddle boat—it was magical to take it out on the lake early in the morning and watch the sunrise. Truly a dream! Finding the place initially was a bit tricky (we missed some details in the instructions), and cell service in the area is spotty, so definitely screenshot directions beforehand. Once settled, though, it was perfect. Being just over an hour from Acadia National Park was a huge bonus! We had a blast hiking, especially on Precipice Trail (challenging but amazing!) and Beehive Trail for a slightly easier, but still fun option. This spot offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!

We had a great two nights here and enjoyed the hot soak and the sauna. It was near many amenities and also felt very removed. Matt’s was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our stay was perfect and the escape we hoped it would be.

Modern cottage with hummingbirds

JulieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We liked the privacy and seclusion of the house, as well as, having good wifi and space for our dog. The windows around the house let in so much light and we could see wild turkeys in the field one night. The house is close enough to what Acadia, Ellsworth, and Bar Harbor has to offer, but is away from the congestion. Having a washer/ dryer is a plus. We had a great stay of 5 days.

HildeRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We felt right at home at LInda's place. It is beautifully furnished and decorated and there is plenty of space. Everything was spotless. Having a washer and dryer really made a difference. The cottage is close to a busy road so there was some road noise outside, but in the cottage it was quiet and peaceful. Linda is very friendly and helpful and had put out welcome muffins for us, which was such a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again!

Lakefront Stargazing Haven w/Loons, 45 Min Acadia

HeatherRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had an amazing stay at Jason’s place despite a (mostly) rainy Memorial Day weekend! We still found plenty to do including inside the Airbnb, outside at the pond, and locally at all of the great restaurants/breweries/nature around. We also made it out to Acadia two of our days. I will say, the trip took longer than advertised (about an hour to get to the edge of the park), but was a pleasant enough ride. We also had our two dogs staying with us and we all felt right at home! Jason was a very responsive and helpful host as well - you can’t go wrong with this peaceful retreat on the pond!

Cozy cottage close to Acadia National Park!

MelissaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Such an absolutely magical place to stay! My pup and I stayed for a month while I worked and played. Gorgeous views of the Beech Hill Pond and close enough to various towns for hiking, sightseeing and enjoying local food. Spent time on Deer Isle, MDI at Bar Harbour & Acadia, and even made the trek to Lubec. if you want to experience a wee bit of winter and early spring, mid to late March into April was the perfect time. We had a few inches of snow fall within the first few days of the trip. Don't hesitate to book this cottage!

Timberframe Cottage on Organic Farm

JoyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We enjoyed our time at the cottage! It was an easy 45-60 minutes to any part of Acadia and Mt. Desert Island. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and basic. My three boys and I wandered the farm one evening and fed grass to the beautiful horses. (Watch out for ticks in the long grass! Our fault for walking in it…) We purchased a dozen eggs from the farm store and enjoyed them both mornings for breakfast. You NEED to go watch the sunset at Schoodic Point! Only about a 20 minute drive down the peninsula.

What a lovely place to stay! Right on the water and very private and peaceful. Sitting outside with the view of the water was so beautiful. The inside was clean and nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Melanie was SO nice and accommodating and was an absolute pleasure to talk with. My boyfriend and I accidentally locked ourselves out and Melanie and her husband were so quick to help us and were at our door within 15 minutes. They were so lovely. We would definitely love to come back to this place and spend a few more days here!

Cottage by Acadia National Park

JerryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Ann's place was a great stay, especially because my wife and I are more into hiking than walking around Bar Harbor. Not that doing the latter was at all difficult. Bar Harbor is a focal point for those into restaurants and shopping, and it isn't a difficult drive from the cottage (maybe 15 min or so). Ann's place is centrally located in Mt. Desert near several trailheads. The Parkman Mountain trailhead and access point for the carriage road is only about a mile down the road. The start of a scenic drive along Some Sound that leads to Northeast Harbor is even closer. The central location of the cottage also makes it easy to get to the "Quiet Side" of Mt. Desert. Our 7-night stay wasn't enough to see everything we wanted, so we may come back someday. If we do, we would love to stay here again.

La Campana, Oceanfront with Acadia Views.

MeganRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Incredible. A truly five star stay. The cabin is clean, spacious, well laid out, flooded with natural sun light and that view… is remarkable. Stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay + things you wouldn’t even expect. There were plenty of cozy blankets, coffee cups + coffee pot, games/puzzles, fans for the rooms, towels, rugs, pillows, dish wares, microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher, cooking utensils, and the list goes on. I have nothing but wonderful wonderful things to say about our stay here. I am grateful to have stayed here - thank you. Some notes for future guests: you will need a car, be prepared to just want to stay in and enjoy the cabin vs. rushing out to see the sights, use the fire pit and enjoy the view, the pizza from the Surry store is great you should pick some up one night, Ellsworth and Blue Hill are both nearby and have delightful shops and restaurants, and most importantly be prepared to miss this place when you leave because it is something special.
