5 plus stars.⭐️ Jay’s place was perfect: extremely private, beautiful bay side location, sunsets, comfortable, and everything we hoped for and more. Location is about a 30 minute easy drive from Acadia NP, which is really perfect for avoiding the maddening crowds. Lots of thoughtful extras provided. We would love to stay here again.

The cabin was breathtaking, with a history painted and photographed among her walls. Perfect amount of space to accommodate a family should you have one. The morning sunrise was spiritual, and humbling. Host was incredibly friendly and accommodating for our dog. Arjuna. Will absolutely be returning. Thank you for an amazing and beautiful experience.

Probably the most amazing vacation rental setting we're ever experienced. This place sits in a nature preserve on 2.5 acres of beautiful Maine coastline. Going to bed and waking up with seals and wave noise, watching Bald Eagle fishing... Just like living a Discovery Channel dream. North of the property is the preserve, 300' South is your first neighbor. Craig/Kadedra were super responsive, extremely nice and helpful. The house is a 70' blast from the past, well maintained and has all the pluses (dishwasher, washing machine, good internet). We will be back!

Although rainy, had the perfect weekend renting Allen’s RV- great location with lots to explore in the area! Allen was always quick to respond to our questions. We ended up arriving after midnight our 1st night, he left the outside string lights on for us which was very much appreciated! RV was nice and clean, roomier than I thought it would be- would definitely rent again!

Great beach access, theres a little island you can go to with the tide

Spent a relaxing long weekend at the cabin. Idyllic location right on the water with plenty to do outside. We enjoyed making fires, fishing, and exploring in the canoe. Inside, the cabin was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Camden is nearby for a nice dinner or a stroll and shopping downtown. Acadia is also close enough for a day trip. Checkin/checkout was very straightforward, and the host was helpful and quick to answer any questions. Hope to visit again!

We loved the location. Peaceful and beautiful. Great views from the living room, dining room and kitchen. Mike responded quickly and had helpful suggestions. We would recommend this house to others for a peaceful getaway.

We arrived after dark, making the home slightly difficult to find as it is in forest area. John was quick to respond to make sure we were in the correct place. Views of the water are stunning, especially sun rise. We unfortunately didn’t spent much time there due to frequent visits to Acadia national park and Bar Barbor area each day.

My husband and I, and our two pups had a fantastic time in the Carriage House for a week. Part of a breathtaking private/secret compound on the water…with the most incredible private tidal pool. The place is so authentic, which is what we love about staying in ME when we can escape. We were so blessed to find Margaret’s place last minute. Margaret’s mother, Sally, and her husband were in the main Kate’s house. So so sweet they were to us and our girls. A dog paradise. We are foodies. Plenty of good restaurants around - just a few minutes to the adorable village of Stonington. Around the corner is one of the best restaurants in the country - Aragosta. We can’t wait to return…hopefully, in the Fall. A trip we will always remember. Thank you, Margaret & Family.

This stay was absolutely beautiful!!! It looked EXACTLY like the photos, maybe even better! It’s right on the water with a gorgeous view. If you like swimming in your own front yard and sitting up in bed to stunning landscape, this is the stay for you. We spent our time relaxing in one of the most comfortable beds Ive had at any hotel/airbnb, swimming in the water right off the dock, and watching wildlife right from the porch. The area is a large property with multiple stays, and while we passed our neighbors a few times we still had tons of privacy. This would be the perfect location for large groups wanting to rent the entire property/multiple stays on the property. We will hopefully be back in the future with the whole family!

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

This is one of the most peaceful places I have ever visited, much less gotten to stay for a few nights. The sunsets are unreal. Getting to wake up and fall asleep to this beautiful view, walking along the beach, listening to the waves,and watching the tide come in and out was so serene and quiet and a very restorative escape. The house was the perfect space, I stayed there solo and it was so cozy and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, couch and living room were super comfy as well. Loved all the books available! Even in rain or cold the view from inside let you feel like you were outside, it was gorgeous. The outdoor space was equally as wonderful, I loved all the options with the picnic table, patio, fire pit and beach. Susan was very helpful and accommodating with my questions and when I wanted to extend my stay. Really hope I can come back to stay in the future!

Beautiful & magical spot! Views of water were gorgeous to wake up to. Being able to walk out onto the beach was wonderful. Cabin was clean, soaring ceilings, very open and bright. Loved it!

Ben and Gary's writers cabin was one of the most beautiful locations I have ever been. The cabin is even more beautiful than the listing pictures and is so incredibly close to the water. We had the best time in Maine thanks to Ben and Gary. Not only was the property amazing but so were Ben and Gary. Very kind individuals. Thank you!! Would love to visit again.

One of the most proactive and responsive hosts. Provided a lot of helpful information about the home and surrounding area from restaurants to outdoor activities in Acadia. Location is 20-25 mins from Bar Harbor. Close to a local bakery and grocery store. Secluded and quiet location with great water views from the deck. Bedrooms, towels and linens were excellent. Bathrooms were really clean. Hot water did start to run out by the time the 5th person in our party showered so we had to stagger shower times somewhat and it was fine. Kitchen was more well stocked compared to others. Will look forward to staying here or at one of Robard’s other locations again!

The cottage was a lovely stay as we traveled from Acadia down to Portland! We checked in a little late, but Jennifer was super timely in responses and very accommodating. The views were spectacular and a wonderful way to wake up in the morning. 10/10 would recommend stopping by Green Tree coffee across the street on your way out. Great coffee and great service!

We absolute loved our time at this beautiful cottage! Denise and Ernie could not have been nicer or more welcoming. They greeted us upon checkin and gave us a full tour and shared some great local history and area recommendations as well. The cottage had everything we needed and more- the love and heart the owners put into this beautiful retreat is evident. It was the perfect home-base as we explored Acadia and the surrounding area with our boys. We highly recommend to others and hope to return soon!
