“Cherie’s place was so peaceful and charming. We came during a pandemic and fire storms all over CA, but had wanted to get in a quick little trip for my birthday, before starting the new teaching year. We planned on doing a little hiking and would have loved to visit all the places Cherie left brochures for but we chose to just stay in Oak Nest and unwind. The views were lovely, filled with wildlife and serenity. Cherie had a fool proof guest handbook and many wonderful amenities, which made us feel right at home. We got to give Chanterelle a few pets before our stay was over. Very sweet doggie! Cherie was very quick to respond to texts and gave plenty of extra touches to our wonderful stay. The place was sparkling clean! We felt very safe.”
Quiet treetop studio! View the California foothill country from a private, comfortable hideaway high among the oaks. Cute and comfortable, newly remodeled, complete with kitchen and bath.
“The reviews are very accurate for Sara and Stan’s! We had the pleasure of staying here for a couple nights for a quick getaway and it was well worth our money. They provided us with everything we could’ve needed, even a little late-night snack, breakfast bread, and other thoughtful amenities. We got to meet Stan as we were checking out and he was wonderful! Definitely worth considering if you’re visiting Sonora, especially for its proximity to shopping and it’s beautiful downtown scenery.”
Both national & international guests have enjoyed our historic home! If you like, checkout the reviews. The privacy of the entire upstairs is for guests, their family, & friends only: 2 bedrooms, a large TV room with extra-long single bed, a kitchenette, & private bathroom. Historic gold rush towns, foothill wineries, lakes, rivers, and winter sports are all nearby. Yosemite's Highway 120 West Gate entrance is just a 1 1/2 hour drive away. A splendid getaway for any season of the year!
“Adorable, very clean space! The hosts greeted us and were so friendly. They did a great job of giving us custom directions from Yosemite in order to avoid the dangerous unpaved roads Google maps would've taken us. You do need to climb a staircase in order to get into the attic/apartment, but the space itself is great. To be honest, I thought the location was really random but they have maps from all around the world with pins of all the people who have stayed here and it goes to show the hosts really know what they're doing! Bathroom was beautiful too.”
