My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Ironton area. Lance's place was very peaceful. The house was very clean. Landscaping around the premises was very nice. I even spent time in the hammock! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The house and setting was perfect after visiting the different sites in the area. We went to Pilot Knob Battle Site and Museum, Elephant Rocks, Sam A. Baker State Park, and Castor Rock Shut-Ins. I saw a bald eagle flying over the river. A turtle made a visitation at the front door. Wasps had built a nest behind the shutters but Lance had left wasp spray. That saved the day! We highly recommend this peaceful retreat.

"Little Brick House" (Hael House built in 1865)

What a great find!! It was located right in town in the Bohemian district with some cute little artsy businesses around it. A very easy stroll in to the rest of town. Stepping in to the house was like a step back in time to my grandmother's house. It was very wzrm and welcoming with lots of thoughtful little touches like a stocked coffee bar with fresh creamer in the refrigerator. There were plenty of extra throws and blankets if needed. If we return to St. Genevieve, I would gladly stay here again.

We absolutely loved our time spent at Patrick’s cabin. We found ourselves spending a lot of our down time reading on the back porch and enjoying the serenity the location provided. The cabin itself is very homie and comfortable; Patrick provides everything one would need for the stay at his cabin. The location was perfect for our needs as all of the parks we wanted to visit were within a 45 min drive from the cabin.

Had a great stay at Irontown Bungalow, location has easy and close access to lots of hiking, and is near to a few great local restaurants. Neighborhood was delightfully quiet in the evenings and we felt right at home.

My family enjoyed an amazing Ozark mountain view! The stay was overall enjoyable with great wraparound views, roomy accommodations, and king-size master bed. We did not encounter the electrical or lighting issues that other guests seem to have encountered. We also did not not see any bugs inside in the cabin. The kitchen was par for Airbnb kitchens, and we had no trouble cooking there. Do be aware that the water pressure in the showers is quite low, as the listing mentions. While I would have expected prepared wood at the bonfire pit, there was none. However, it was easy to find branches to burn on the property. The cabin is right next to MO-21, and you will hear the traffic. You may also hear revelers partying at nearby Tip Top Park, as we did. The windows in the cabin do not open and do not have screens. Would give 4 stars on a Google review = 5 star Airbnb accommodations.

This place is just as cute on the inside as advertised. Very well insulated, and anything you could need the host has provided. It was probably the best stocked with supplies that I've ever encountered, including fans, extra bedding, shampoo and conditioner, q-tips, and pretty much all kitchen utensils. The pond and fire pit were also amazing. The only things I'd like to note are that both doors seemed to be flimsyish camper style doors with no deadbolts, and the loft ceiling is 4 ft high at most at the peak, so is very hard for adults to move around up there, even crawling. We were very grateful for the sofa bed, as the adults that were planning to sleep on one of the beds in the loft quickly moved down there after several head bumping incidents. The eight and under kids absolutely loved it though, and felt like it was their own special room. I wanted to also mention that the host is absolutely wonderful, very attentive, and extremely helpful. I recommend him highly!

Another great stay at an amazing location. You can not beat the quality of the facility. Jackie has so many options with rental for use also. This should be everyone’s go to place for events, reunions, weddings, dinners, etc where lodging on site is needed. The safety of the location, quietness, quality, and hospitality are unmatched. A surprise welcome basket on the kitchen counter was greatly appreciated after traveling!

We were in town for the Appalachia meets the Ozarks music festival and it was a wonderful retreat only like a mile and a half from the festival site. host was awesome and super responsive! would definitely stay here again!

Tucked back in the middle of the woods of Jefferson County, this quaint home is nestled on several screws of private property that are perfect for the quiet, peaceful country getaway you’re looking for. Plenty of outdoor dating with campfire that overlook the pristine creek just fifty feet away made for a nice evening outside, and walking creek bed along the running water was a relaxing and serene way to wake up the next morning. Owners were very proactive with information that made the stay even better, and the home was clean and comfortable. This is the place you’re looking for.

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor being a little better than the pictures, and the view from the deck was breath taking! My only complaint is that the disposal and spice cupboard smelled a bit funny, and the shower door needed to be slammed really hard to get it to stay closed. We noticed that the directions on the thermostat were very clear and when the heat kicked in it was very quiet. There was also enough hot water for the bath! Overall I had one of my most pleasant trips here. Our favorite day was going to hike whispering pines trail!

We stayed here for my mom's 70th birthday and it was so perfect. We loved the beautiful kitchen with plenty of room for everyone to help cook. The yard was great for morning walks and it was so peaceful sitting on the deck in the morning. We would definitely stay here again!

Today we checked out of the Bluebird, and I gotta say, it was difficult to say goodbye. We never wanted to leave this hidden slice of paradise! My husband and I moved here about a year ago from Oregon and have desperately been needing to get back in touch with nature and with one another. We decided to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary at Bluebird. The pictures of the property were breathtaking and they didn't even begin to do this amazing place justice. You truly need to see it in person to understand how beautiful it truly is. It was so clean, had all the amenities a person could need, and offered every bit of peace and relaxation we hoped for. Although the home was gorgeous, we spent most of our time outdoors. We enjoyed the pool and hottub, and the friendly heard of cows next door! As for the host, Linda was exceptional. She answered every single question and concern and was incredibly responsive and friendly. If you're in the area and need to get away, book this property!

Our stay at Vickie’s cabin by the woods was great! Not only is the property in a beautiful and peaceful setting, the inside is even better than the pictures! It was well-stocked with some added personal touches! We were in the area for a family wedding, so while our stay was short, we did find time to hike the trails down to the creek. The lake with dock and swim area is very nice as well. Vickie and Wally were great hosts! Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was beautiful with a wonderful, large wrap around porch. The hot tub was lovely and clean. The grill worked great and kitchen space was good with lots of helpful additions like stocked ziplock bags and aluminum foil. Charleville brewery and winery was just down the way with gorgeous views and great drinks. It was a great family getaway!
