Braylsham Castle

We wanted a family evening together to remember and this property delivered! The obviously devoted planning and inspiration to develop such a peaceful setting into a ‘World of Pure Imagination’ was amazing. We sat outside eating and listening to many different species of birds singing! (Identified by the Merlin App). Wi-Fi, knights in armour, banqueting table, debates about whether the grandfather clock was vertical- or the walls, playing games together. Lovely combination of Alexa playing the right music with feeling you’d stepped back to a time before technology, truly the best of both worlds! Thank you.

Lantern Cottage Garden Studio

Just returned from a two day break at this beautiful studio. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Met Trisha who was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast items were included (crumpets, cereals, tea, coffee, milk, butter, jam and orange juice) which were a lovely touch. The garden area was fenced and very safe for our ten month old puppy and she had fun meeting Trisha’s cat and two dogs through the fence! We went to Rye, Camber Sands and Winchelsea beach which were all around a ten minute drive away. We had takeaways from Oriental Delight (Chinese) and Diamond Koz (Turkish) in Rye which were delicious. Would highly recommend this studio and hope to return soon!

Cozy cottage in East Sussex

My husband and I and our 3yr old daughter stayed at Gemma’s cottage whilst on a weekend away to visit castles in Kent and the Seven Sisters cliffs (50 min drive away). The location was very convenient between Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle and Chapel Down Winery. Lovely pub with nice food next door. Gemma was very helpful and responsive. We slept well and had a lovely time

‘The Water Snug’ Floating Lake Cabin

JoeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a visit! We’ve absolutely loved every minute of our stay with Patrick and Juliette, they have created the most beautiful living space and could not have been more friendly and accommodating. It’s a fantastic spot for either a calm getaway or for if you want to do some exploring, and your hosts have excellent local knowledge that they are happy to share if you need recommendations for the area. We had planned to just relax on the boat for the whole time, but we actually wound up visiting nearby areas (Brighton, the beautiful Sheffield Park, local pubs) before retreating to the boat for the evenings, and we loved this mix. Could not recommend this place enough, it’s been our favourite holiday yet and I’m certain that we’ll be back in future!
