The space
Having stayed in a quite a few unique Tiny homes around the globe I wanted to build one here in the UK. And it was a great project and distraction to take on during lockdowns!
The appeal for me and all our guests who've stayed so far is experiencing life 'without all the clutter'.
To feel at peace you need very few things and these things are in abundance at Luna's Lodge... beautiful countryside on the doorstep, a mini library full of books to inspire, games and a radio for a bit of a digital detox (although wifi is available)
If you want to reduce your foot print and environmental impact on the planet then you’ll love Luna’s Lodge.
It's unique eco design and build creates harmony within the home as well as with its natural surroundings. Fitted out with all that you need to eat, sleep, relax in comfort this little house is all about helping to de-stress, decompress and reminding us of what's really important.
This space is perfect for those wanting to re-discover life's simple pleasures and at the same time to know that their eco foot print is tiny too.
The house stands on its own sitting in the grounds of a beautiful 16th century manor house so although you have privacy you're not totally out in the sticks! There are others living and working on the estate, a friendly bunch who may give you a wave from a distance as they come and go but will leave you to it!
Luna's Lodge benefits from a contemporary kitchen with appliances and an eco friendly bathroom including a shower head that purifies the water and a non flushing compost loo to save water. The living area is beautifully furnished with relaxation as the focus for both body and mind with its mini library. There is a work space (aka the breakfast bar) for those who may need to dip into work during their stay. Under floor heating keeps the feet and the tiny home toastie in winter.
The village of Churchill, where Luna's Lodge is located, is a delight to walk around with its unique architecture and pub on the hill - The Crown Inn. Bristol, Clevedon and Glastonbury are within 20-25 mins drive and Bristol airport is less than 10 mins drive. Luna's Lodge is also an ideal pad to base yourself for any local weddings, family get togethers, celebrations.
Its location on the edge of the beautiful Mendip Hills will also float the boat of any guest focused on outdoor activities with walking, hiking, cycling trails right from the door step, as well access to climbing adventures and even skiing, snowboarding are possible with the Mendip Outdoor Activity Centre within walking distance... and if you fancy a surf? You can catch a break at 'The Wave' a 30 min drive up the M5...

Guest access
Parking for Luna's Lodge is easy with a parking spot off the main estate drive way, a stone's throw from the Tiny Home.
Other things to note
The Tiny Home experience is like no other. It offers the opportunity to experience what home life can be like without the clutter and all the distractions that keep us from connecting to the more simple things. It is a traditional 18ft x 8ft build with a mezzanine sleep area. Consequently it is not suitable for young guests or guests with mobility issues.
To support the eco ethos of the build, design and function of the house we encourage its visitors to work in harmony with nature... to be mindful when cooking, washing, cleaning in a way that helps to reduce our eco foot print :-)
Due to its close location to a country road you may hear the odd tractor and horse trotting along. The driveway is shared by others on the estate so you may see them come and go from a distance.
INFO for our four legged friends:
There are no 'fenced in' areas so you'll need to be on your lead when you exit and enter the estate. There is a large lawn in front of the tiny home that you can run around on as long as your human is with you at all times, all other areas on the estate are private property.
There are some amazing walks right on your doorstep so make sure your human takes a look at the walking maps inside the Tiny Home so you can go out and enjoy together! Please remind your human to bring an extra towel for you :-)
If your human forgets to pack your dog bowls we have extra for you at the Tiny Home in the garden box outside under the lounge window.
Please make sure your human clears up any dog waste, bins are provided within the grounds.
