The Shepherd's Hut is a really unique place to stay and a fantastic experience. It's clean, beautifully decorated and well kitted out. It's surroundings of a private patio and pond are idyllic - Grant (August '18) Hut in the Hollow provided a sweet little slice of tranquility, among the wildlife. High quality and comfortable in the hut. The patio/garden area with the pond is great for eating out on at breakfast and sitting looking at the stars at night. Very impressed - Kerry (August '18)
“The hut really is a peaceful escape with all the advantages of the city and beaches near. We took advantage of both, we bought our dog with us and she tucked perfectly under the bed! Durham city was really dog friendly. The facilities and special touches that Richard had added to the hut were just gorgeous, it is warm, cute and homely. Thank you Richard.”
This newly converted self contained private detached modern annexe is located within 15 minutes walk of Durham City centre with its world class University and Cathedral and is great for both holiday and business travellers. The annexe is in the grounds of our larger house occupied by us, situated at the end of a private road near to Durham City centre. The annexe is totally self contained and has its own allocated parking space next to it together with private decked area with Cathedral views.
“This is a spotlessly clean , organised and well thought out place too stay. It is a 15 minute walk into the centre of Durham albeit involving a couple of steep hills! Will definitely be staying again as our niece is at the Uni for a couple more years yet!”

“Absolutely perfect. We were in the area delivering a course at the local school and this ticked all the boxes. Peter's house is IMMACULATE, stylishly decorated and with lots of nice touches including fruit juice and gin in the fridge and cupboards of essentials. Will definitely stay again.”
