Please check out my IG for reference! ID: wasabi_sake_experience In this experience, I will take you to inside of 300 years old sake Brewery, the oldest and biggest in Tokyo, to show you the history and culture of Sake which is extremely unique to Japan. I, being Sake Sommelier, will also do Sake-tasting for you with different Sakes in pursue of The One Sake you will love :) In addition, the location we drink is so rich in nature and breathtakingly beautiful so you will get to experience the country side of Tokyo. Sake, Japanese Rice Wine, is very unique Japanese traditional liquor like no other in the world. Now I am a very much of fanatic & enjoy it little more than I should lol. But, to be honest, my first Sake experience was not that great. I will tell you all about it when I see ya! Long story short, my opinion was completely overturned when I was introduced to GREAT SAKE in Japan. It was very fragrant & fruity. Easy to drink & flowery in the aftertaste. This experience made me very passionate about sharing Sake experience with my friends who already like/love sake and want to taste more, and also for those who may have had a rough start like I did. lol

What Shinjuku City has to offer

Shibuya Stray Cat
Visit a few iconic staples of Shibuya's nightlife scene. We'll start at "Vive La Vie" which is a hidden restaurant/bar, ran by a former photographer Michiko who turned chef started it 15 years ago. Then move on to the watering holes of drunks' alley ( called "Nonbei-Yokocho" ), an area with more than 30 bars to toast with local drunks. If we still are full on, we could hit a bar "Point 66", which is owned by Mr. Maezono a.k.a Mar-chan who has created a legendary "328" in Nishi-Azabu, very first club in Tokyo in 1979, or "Bubbles" which is a hideaway in Shibuya's secret district Maruyama-cho. See how it goes... Other things to note You probably shouldn't be a hangover...

Wagyu & Sake pairing in Shinjuku
We will welcome you into our own restaurant with some unique Japanese drinks as an aperitif while we talk about sake and wagyu, explaining the history, relevance, and regional differences between them. Then we will move onto the wagyu full-course meal. We source different types of wagyu from many regions in Japan, and we will serve you the best cuts available in the market for the experience date. You'll get to try traditional & authentic styles of preparation as well as some more modern dishes, along with some delicious appetizers and dessert. For each wagyu dish, we will serve you Japanese craft sake prepared in a different way. Some of them are our original cocktails specifically designed to be paired with wagyu. Example of the wagyu full-course dinner menu: Two kinds of appetizers Grilled wagyu beef tongue - original sake cocktail Wagyu chuck flap tataki - warm sake Seasonal salad Wagyu sirloin steak - nigori Wagyu chuck hotpot - unpasteurized sake Wagyu dashi udon Dessert - sake with a surprise It is not our goal to overfeed you but to serve you high quality of wagyu in many ways. We understand the price of this experience is higher compared to others, but it is a function of how much real wagyu and good craft sake cost. Other things to note Please let me know if you have any food restrictions in advance.
Eat/Drink like A LOCAL - Taverns & Ramen
LET'S GET OUT OF THE TOURIST AREA where it is overpriced and crowded with people! This tour focuses on Ueno, which is not as crowded as Shibuya, Shinjuku and is less touristy. It is also famous with Japanese foodies for a good quality at reasonable prices. I'm going to take you to popular bars and restaurants for ONLY LOCALS (NO TOURISTS!!) where the staff speaks only Japanese. I will order signature dishes, and we will discuss the food and drink (and you can pepper me with questions). We will visit 4 restaurants/taverns in total, where you will sample sashimi, grilled fish and skewered meat, etc. You will also have the opportunity to try UNIQUE Japanese alcoholic drinks (5 or more different type of drinks) and you'll be able to experience what Japanese taverns are like. After visiting these three taverns, we will end the tour at a great Ramen shop that is popular with locals. At the end of the tour, I will explain which train station you need to go, depending on where you go. You are going to have a full-size meal on the day in several different restaurants included ramen, so again pls come hungry!
五感で楽しむ和牛、日本酒
Cheers! We will start Omakase style with drinking Seasonal drinks. Then we will briefly introduce a few facts about sake and Japanese-food. The drinks we will prepare are unique and cannot be found in many other places. Our seasonal drinks include unique sake . ・7 Wagyu plate : (7pearling Sake&Jin ) ・1 salad plate 1 ・2 Desert 2 plate *If you can't drink alcohol, you can drink up to 2 glasses of craft juice. The wagyu which we using is the soft quality and the good balance of marbling making its rich flavor. The fat is sweet and the combination with the sizzling scent makes "WAGYU" known as the taste of art. The balance of fat and lean is said to be the best among the WAGYU. Furthermore, as you know Wagyu is not the thing for just red meat to eat so we will prepare and provide various part of WAGYU. In the end, we will enjoy the world-class taste of Japanese Food and the mixture of sake. Let us enjoy the feast with all our 5 senses. Other things to note Feel free to give us a message for any special reservations.
