Vacation rentals with a kayak in Shenandoah Valley

We had a great time at Greg’s and Nicole’s place! I highly recommend it. We especially appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was, as it is somewhat rare to find when staying at a rental.

Wendy's lake house was the perfect place for me and my family to relax and enjoy the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Wendy was a great host and would love to come back sometime!

Had a relaxing few days at this cute cottage on the river. Lovely porch with a view. Very secluded but easy to get to all of Richmond's attractions. Bubba the donkey was very welcoming. We couldn't come or go without petting him!

This place was perfect ! Everything you could possibly need was available to us . The hot tub and the fire pits were amazing. The view was incredible. There was so much to do very close to the house! Potato chip tasting , wineries , cave tour, and a really cool parade float museum! We also truly enjoyed the space , lots of room to relax and read a book, play ball outside , fish in the river… great place , highly recommend!

This place is awesome! It rained most of the time we were there, but with all the amenities there was plenty for us to do around the house. The dock is awesome, and it’s on a nice, quiet, spot on the lake. We hope to be back in the future!

Gary was courteous, responsive and flexible during our time leading up and during our stay. My family and I enjoyed the amenities as well and peaceful seclusion the property brought during Mother’s Day weekend. Willing to help every step of the way, we have no issues with the property and are hopeful to rebook at the same venue for other occasions as well. Highly recommend!

Matt and Tina’s home surpassed expectations on all fronts. This is an absolutely beautiful home on a quiet, and peaceful property. The entire property is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and is chocked full of amenities and led to an unbelievable weekend. The stand-out for me was the two-tier dock, it is very well done. Matt and Tina were incredibly responsive and generous with check-in times and catered to our large group well. Excellent hosts! Thank you for the opportunity to stay in such a wonderful home in Lake Anna, VA!

We enjoyed renting Jackson Hole house. It is our second time being there and the house was clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The house is spacious and everything was in working order.

This 3 night trip was part of our 2 week trip visiting family in VA. We chose this house because we have a small dog and thought the yard would be good to have. The house was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. Amy even left a nice little surprise for us. She answered all our questions and was very helpful. We enjoyed walking to the coffee house and being minutes from our son.

This place was amazing and had fantastic views! We had such a great stay, the set up is perfect to have fun as well as relax!

If you are looking for a secluded little get-away with a great host, this is the spot. Unfortunately these reviews only allow 1000 characters otherwise I would write a novel of a review for Rachelle and The River House. I stayed for 6 weeks with my dog in April and May watching Spring bloom. How beautiful! I was able to float down the river, see wildlife, go fishing, get fresh free-range organic chicken eggs, eat outside in the fresh air, hangout with one of the neighbor dogs, watch hummingbirds, and enjoy fires at night in the firepit and more! They recently added Starlink for the internet wifi and it was blazing fast. It is perfect for working remotely (video calls) and streaming. The beds and pillows are comfy. The water is hot. The place is clean. Rachelle is a top-tier host and super friendly, considerate and responsive. We had a couple of minor issues and she resolved them ASAP. If you're not used to the buggy woods keep that in mind, especially during the warmer months.

Our stay at Mom's cottage was great. We liked being away from Gettysburg proper. The drive into Gettysburg is easy and convenient. Quiet neighborhood that would be great for those that like to walk.

We had a great time. The cottage is lovely, very well decorated, comfortable, it felt like home. We enjoyed the deck and the bonfire by the water. We would have loved to use the kayak and canoe but the weather was not amenable to it unfortunately. Julie was proactive and shared detailed instructions and local recommendations. She was responsive when I asked questions ahead of our arrival. I would totally recommend for a couple or family and would definitely come back.

We absolutely loved our stay! We were here for our elopement in Shenandoah National Park and this location was perfect. The AirBnb was clean, it had beautiful surroundings, and all of the amenities were great!! Colton gave us awesome local recommendations as well. We will definitely be back!

Great getaway for our family of 4! Our 5 and 2 year old enjoyed making s'mores by the fire pit, canoeing for the first time and walking the trails. It was amazing to wake up and have coffee on the deck and the mountain view from the top of the hill was gorgeous! I wish we would've had more time to explore the town but we had a great trip and would love to come back again!

River House – 5 Stars My husband and I stayed in the River House for 4 days. We totally enjoyed ourselves there. It was exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet while gazing upon nature at its best. The house is very clean, neat and crisp with a touch of warmth everywhere. It has everything you could want for your stay, making it home-sweet-home. The house is nestled between trees and situated right on the bank of the Shenandoah’s running river. Enjoy the lush green forest across the river while drinking your morning coffee in the sunroom. You’ll see that this serene setting brings a daily refuge of birds nesting and hummingbirds feeding to the top deck. The sunroom is so cozy and inviting. It seems as if the house is on stilts sitting over the running river. The River House has two large decks, a patio and boats for your family’s enjoyment. We had a really nice time at the cabin. Everything was laid out very nicely and was ready for us the moment we arrived. The space is beautiful and right on the lake. It was extremely peaceful to sit in the large screened deck and hang out with the stunning lake in view. Hope to stay here again some day!

We have stayed here about a half a dozen times over the years. Josh is simply the perfect host, and the cabin is very private, absolutely gorgeous, alway spotless, with awesome and breathtaking surroundings. Just extraordinary - Six stars!!

Staying at Mark’s cabin was a splendid experience and quite possibly the best part of our visit to Virginia. Mark was responsive to any questions or concerns that we had. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was clean and tidy, and all of the appliances were easy to use. It was a relaxing getaway for us, mainly due to how quickly Mark worked to address our concerns. The cabin was in a beautiful and quiet place, and the view from the porch was magnificent. Would highly recommend Mark’s cabin to anyone who wants to visit the Shenandoah area!

Beautiful place me and my boyfriend came here for his birthday we had the best time! Brandi had the space nice and clean when we got there. She is has excellent response time and is very friendly. The cabin itself was amazing the view was incredible! being able to go out and kayak was amazing. The perfect get away for you and your partner! we will definitely be back!

We loved our two night stay! We felt right at home. It was so relaxing outside with the outdoor seating, hot tub, soaking tube inside, and all the little extras! The location was perfect for what we were in town for close to restaurants, shopping, state park, history, and Fallingwater. We will definitely be back!

The location is supreme and the house is charming. The ride into town is easy and as to be expected quite beautiful. Perfect house to unplug, unwind, relax and enjoy family time or reconnecting as a couple.

Sean's place was beautiful and close to Berkley Springs but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. highly recommend this to anyone wanting a get away .
