  • My stay at Rose’s place was great! The location was very convenient to getting to town and the nearby climbing attractions. Thank you Rose for your hospitality!!

  • We stayed here for a climbing trip in Bishop. This was a good location not far from town, and a short drive to a bunch of different spots. It’s also less than an hour from Mammoth & Yosemite. We’ll stay here again!

    Paul2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great, spacious master suite. Plenty of room for two. Rose was very friendly and made great recommendations for food. All in all, a perfect stay. Did I mention that I caught a fish:). I have been telling everyone I know and some people I don't:) Just a beautiful area. Can't wait to come back.

    David2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Rose's home was a beautiful, large, comfortable space. My boyfriend and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. The location was perfectly situated with a fantastic mountain view from the front yard. We especially loved the large walk-in shower, and Jacuzzi Bathtub (perfect after a day of skiing). Rose was so sweet and welcoming. We would highly recommend this spot.

    Rebecca2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rose is a wonderful person, who greets you with a big smile after a long drive (we'd been on the road for 7 hrs). She makes amazing bath salts for you to use, and her space is big, private, and so thoughtful. Everything you may need can be found. Thank you Rose, we had a great time!

    Maxim2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery!! Rose was gracious and helpful in every way!!! 🙏🏽

    Bobanna2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed at numerous Airbnbs in the past and I can say without a doubt that Rose's place and her hospitality are definitely among my best experiences. Rose personally checked us in and thoughtfully explained where everything was and how the heaters worked (yes multiple heaters which came in handy in winter). She also had complimentary coffee and breakfast bars. The room was HUGE, the king bed and ample pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious and clean, and the private entrance were much appreciated. Rose was incredibly kind and even gave us dinner recommendations which proved to be delicious (ask her about the sushi place!). I HIGHLY recommend stay at Rose's for anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

    Umair2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We appreciated all of the thoughtful touches and amenities available during our stay. Rose’s AirBnb is located in a quiet neighborhood and we appreciated her hospitality - definitely recommend staying here. We’d happily stay here again if we’re back in the area!

  • Small space but a nice little place for my boyfriend and i to crash the night before skiing at mammoth. She was transparent with everything; definitely make sure to get there the first time during the day because it is hard to find at first! Everything was clean

    Danielle2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jasmine’s home is in a great location in Bishop - only a short drive to town or to the boulders. With a porch and a great view, this is a great place to relax after a day out climbing. Jasmine was a great host, very responsive and accommodating.

    Miguel2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jasmine’s place was great and she was very friendly. Would come back for sure.

    Derek2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home with friendly, helpful hosts and convenient access to the town and great jogging trails. Wonderful experience for the price.

    Jennifer2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jasmine was very nice and quick to respond to any questions. The bed/bath was clean and private. A shared kitchen was nice to not have to eat out every night as well. The location is very nice for outdoor activities but is still very close to town. If you're fine with older style houses, then this place is pretty great.

  • Always a great time staying here. Top of the line as far as hostels go. Comfy bed with curtains and the staff are the best. Definitely worth checking out at least for one night if it’s expensive in mammoth.

  • Great place!

    Ann2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Eastside was the perfect accommodation for my time in Bishop. Everything from the community space to the bedrooms are exactly as described. Shops, restaurants, and the grocery store are all within walking distance. There are many many things to do nearby if you are looking to explore the outdoors. The area remains very quiet at night, and the small pond with the outdoor seating provides the perfect place to enjoy it. This is a great place to stay if you are interested in meeting new people and the hosts were incredible, both in communication and hospitality. Also important to note, I was traveling as a solo female and felt completely comfortable and safe here! Thank you for everything!

    Lashondra2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Not only is this spot affordable but it's super adorable and clean. The common spaces are really nice with an indoor and outdoor option. There is also good coffee for free every morning. I enjoyed it while lounging on a couch in front of the fireplace. I stayed in one of the dorm style rooms. It was very clean, my roommates were very respectful, and the bathroom was really nice! They also give you ear plugs in case someone is a snore-r! Highly recommend this spot for any trip to Bishop. It's a great location for all types of adventures nearby. Will be back!

  • The Eastside Guesthouse is a unique establishment offering bunk sleeping arrangements and very stylish shared spaces. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and well thought through. I’ll stay here again next time I come to Bishop.

A great year round comfortable one bedroom (large) house with new furniture and beds and a cozy wood stove. Large yard and horse pasture. It is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the Sierra's. Sleeps 6, 2 queen beds and 1 queen rollout sofa.
This rental is a real bargain with a very large kitchen that is always the social and gathering spot! It also has a very large yard for recreational equipment. The best part is that it is in the Owens Valley, which is surrounded by the mountains that are accessible within 20 minutes!
I grew up in this neighborhood. It is always great to return from my travels to clean air, water and mountains. It is my sanctuary and yours with your stay.
  • Paul was a great host and his property was the perfect combination of rustic cabin feel but with enough modern amenities for a pleasant, relaxed stay. It was an ideal location for a bouldering base camp with less than ten minute drives to Happies/Sads parking and quick trips into town for supplies. I also enjoyed meeting/conversing with Paul and appreciated the personal attention he gives to his property and visitors - a very 'airbnb' experience rather than just a generic hotel you show up to for the night. I'll definitely try to stay here again next time I visit Bishop. Thanks Paul!

    Nate2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place is awesome! I was looking for a quiet, mellow place that was also good to host a few local friends for meals, and it was perfect. He's also a wealth of knowledge about Payahuunadü, the valley Bishop is in, and the various local communities, including the Nüümü / Paiute community. I feel lucky to have stayed there and recommend it to anyone.

    Charis2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply amazing. We cannot wait for our next fishing trip and to see Paul in the near future!

    Tawny2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Paul’s place. Perfect location for hitting mammoth during the day and relaxing in the evening. Thanks, Paul!

    Brandon2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was a wonderful host. He was very helpful, and made sure we knew everything about the home. He also spread his knowledge and cultural background with us. We enjoyed our stay very much, and appreciated the beautiful views Bishop has to offer.

    Chanel2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a beautiful location!

    Kristin2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s place was clean and great location. The views of the mountains out the door were magnificent and Paul always kept us stocked with firewood for the wood burning stove inside. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

    Lindsey2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was very attentive and helped make our stay in Bishop so comfortable! We would love to stay here again the next time we pass through Bishop.

This charming, 550-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment on the edge of Bishop borders open land but is still walking distance to the heart of Main Street. Situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, this convenient, ground-level abode (there is an apartment upstairs) has trails out the door and a view from the bedroom that you won't believe. The place is perfect for a couple, for two individual adults (needing two beds), or for a couple with children. For three adults, it might feel a bit cozy.
Only a handful of blocks away (easy walking distance) is downtown Bishop, where the brewery, coffee shops, gear stores, restaurants, the town's only movie theater--and more--can be found. Right out the bedroom door is open land, where you can take a morning run on trails next to a canal or sip your coffee. The apartment is a perfect home base for nearby adventures: bouldering at the world-class areas of the Happy Boulders, Buttermilk, Sad Boulders (to name a few spots within a 20-minute drive); skiing in Mammoth (only 50 miles away); hiking in the Sierra Nevada or White Mountains (as close as a 20-minute drive); sport-climbing in the extensive Owens River Gorge; and fishing in the Owens River (which flows through the Eastern Sierra). There's a lifetime of adventures to be had here!
  • Lisa's place is ideal for my visits to the Bishop area. It couldn't be better. Quick access to the river, quiet neighborhood, easy walk to the center of town.

    Mossy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean place with a short walking distance to the central area. Hosts were very friendly and responded quickly when we had a question or needed something.

    Allie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s place is in a perfect location, close to town but quiet enough and the trails out back are beautiful. The space is simple, roomy, and cozy. Hope to stay here again soon!

    Junko2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very welcoming. The kitchen is perfect for making full meals after a day at the crag. It is stocked with all the pots, pans, plates and utensils you’d ever need for an extended stay. The place is very clean and well kept. The view looking out from the bedroom is spectacular. You can even walk to downtown Bishop and a very easy 20 minute drive to the Happy, Sad and Buttermilk boulders. I’d definitely seek this apartment out again when I return to Bishop.

    Hino2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at this location before and Lisa went above and beyond the call of duty to return an extension cord to me. It is a fantastic, quiet location that allows any person staying there the benifits of what Bishop has to offer within easy walking distance. During my stay I walked to Great Basin Bakery, the cinema and to the Brewery...a few times. So centrally located it makes a great base for a stay in the area.

    Mossy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s place is simple but very comfortable and a great location close to everything in town. We enjoyed staying very much! Just a good thing to note that we missed is that there isn’t a TV - but it’s nice to unplug!

    Alexa2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s place was quite lovely. Simple and very clean. I love the scenic view from the bedroom. My girlfriend specifically like the easy access to a trail to do her daily meditation put back. But she did say the bathroom was a little tiny for her. The place is also walking distance to the main strip of Bishop. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

    Erickson2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

Spacious room, private bathroom, and private entrance. When I travel, it is all about the bed. So I bought a new memory foam, California King bed. I have some different sized pillows available and soft linens and blankets to go with it. The bathroom is private and newly updated. There is also a small frig, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker and kitchen table. The room also has a small couch and a satellite TV with HBO. Wifi is also available and parking is available on my driveway.
The room opens up to a partially covered patio area for additional space.
I live outside of town so it is very quiet. Feel free to sit by the ponds and creek out front or enjoy the view of the White Mountains from my back yard. If you want to go to town, it is a quick 5 miles away down the highway.
  • Very clean and quiet. Easy check in and out. Nice and courteous host.

    Eric2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cute studio apartment with separate entrance and mini-kitchen in quiet neighborhood. Comfy bed. Felt right at home.

    Nicole2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Julia wasn't kidding about the bed. What is best however is the great neighbourhood away from the road and town noise but stillclose enough for pizza delivery or a bike ride to town. Best in this catgory so far

You can tell that Keri put a bit of her personality in the house. It was cozy and colorful yet pretty minimal. The house is right next to the strip where all of the restaurants and bakeries are. Located in the shadows of world class climbing and bouldering in the Buttermilk’s, with alpine hiking in the Great Basin. Fishing at South Lake and Lake Sabrina, just 5 mins away. Dine in your private patio area complete with bbq and outdoor seating. Take a day trip to Yosemite, or Death Valley, or spend the day skiing at Mammoth Mountain only 40 min drive away. Or just relax and enjoy the views and tranquility from this small but new home. The town of Bishop is just 10 mins away.
This is a brand new little house it’s all newly appointed with a great use of space . It’s right in the buttermilk’s for climbers and a great base for adventure. There is a small loft and the steps are steep and are not suitable for young kids or elderly or sleeping. It’s comfortable for 4 but can accommodate 6.
This is a small and quite neighborhood very peaceful. There are no restaurants close by but there is a fully equipped kitchen. The restaurants in town tend to close early about 8-830 just keep that in mind !!!

The guest house is clean, modern, and so cosy! My buddy and I had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend booking a stay here! Be sure to enjoy grab a meal at Copper Top BBQ, catch the sunset just a couple miles up the 168 toward Ancient Bristlecone. There’s an amazing vista overlooking Big Pine. You don’t want to miss it!

Built out of brick, our cabin is directly on Hilton Creek for your enjoyment of all four seasons. Surrounded by pure rushing water and a quaking aspen glade, this Eastern Sierra location borders on magical. See for yourself, our photos show just a glimpse!
Old cabins have an authentic feel that is tough to replicate. Seldom will you find one that is built right on the edge of a rushing creek-bed in the High Sierra. Here it is, if you were any closer you would get wet! Each season is different but summer and fall are guest favorites. Please note that during the winter (and most of spring) Yosemite National Park cannot be accessed easily from the cabin because Tioga Pass (HWY 120) is closed. The cabin is on the small side but perfect for two, three adults works too depending on your space needs. Keep in mind this is an original tiny home, before they became popular. Well behaved children can be accommodated but no pets please. We love pets, but some of our eldest family members have pet allergies and use this cabin too. If you ask to bring your pet I will just reply as stated above. There is a separate bedroom with a double bed (slightly smaller than queen sized) and heated blanket, the bathroom has a shower, and the kitchen is combined into the living room. Direct TV and wifi are available, sometimes the creek makes so much noise it is hard to hear the TV! During the colder times of year we have a wonderful wood burning stove and plenty of firewood. If you don't know how to build a fire, let us know, my wife and I are pro's. Some folks are concerned that the cabin is isolated in the middle of nowhere and that access is difficult. We live on the property, have a main house and this rental cabin in back. Our road is paved, parking is paved and its a short 25 foot walk to the front door. In the winter we will remove snow to make your life easier. The neighborhood is upscale, quiet, and safe. Although the buildings are close together the creek creates an ambiance of privacy and drowns out all sounds, this cabin faces the creek and forest -- you may as well be deep in the wilderness. Domestic water is piped in straight from the creek. It's filtered but guests should drink bottled water, we'll start you off with a gallon. Creek water is perfect for showering, cooking, brushing teeth, etc. You'll notice the difference. We have fiber optic cable internet installed to our house and backyard cabin. For those that are interested in working remotely in this beautiful setting consider this: with speeds up to 100 times faster than DSL or cable, our gigabit upload and download speeds are among the highest in the state. The kitchen includes a two burner stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, pots/pans, dishes and utensils, wine opener, garlic press, mini-fridge, etc. The living room includes a single-wide futon mattress for children or a third guest. No charge for children 12 and under, but additional adults are $25/night. 12% Mono County bed tax included in rates.
Hilton Creek is located at 7100 feet with many smaller branches of the creek flowing through the neighborhood. We're just 15 minutes from Mammoth Lakes and Mammoth Mountain. Even so you might find even more interesting side trips up Rock Creek, McGee Creek, or Convict Canyon.
  • Great spot for my wife and me! Helpful and warm hosts.

    Kai2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Falling asleep to the sound of the creek was just bliss. The aspen forest outside was so picturesque. We loved making fires in the potbelly stove and stargazing from the patio. Such a wonderfully secluded feel.

    Stephanie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely spot was originally a simple fishing cabin, built in the 1930s. The owners, John and Isabel, added a bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette, with handmade counters from local trees. The wood burning stove is amazing, the bed is super comfy and there are lots of cool touches inside, including Talking Battleship! We heated the yummy turkey pot pie we picked up from Erick Schat’s Bakery in Bishop on the stove. The resident kitty, Rocky, is a doll, too. But the real draw is roaring just outside the door, with a big creek running right alongside the deck and a stand of gorgeous aspens on the opposite shore. Hop across one of the bridges and you’re in the forest! Plus, Mammoth is just 20 minutes away. Great base for exploring the Sierra in all seasons!

    Brooke2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely one of the best Airbnb experiences Ive had. The sound waking up and going to sleep to the sound of stream and the warmth of the wood burning stove was unreal. We really didn't want to leave. We will definitely be coming back for another winter experience. Thank you John and Isabel!

    Christian2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Just as advertised but better! John was super communicative and really helpful. The cabin was really clean and cozy. Perfect little place

    Nick2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing; we used it going back and forth to mammoth mountain. Super close, maybe 15 min. John & Isabel are so kind. Isabel came and introduced herself and showed us how to use the fire stove heater, showed us around a little bit and let us know they were available if we needed anything. There’s a cool little creek right out the back door, and if you wander a little further you’ll get an awesome view of the mountains. We’ll be back!

    Alexi2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly an amazing spot to stay at. 15 min from Mammoth 30 min from Bishop. My family and I had such a great time we were able to enjoy the views with snow and the creek was just beautiful. We loved hanging around the porch drinking coffee and exploring around the creeks. We would definitely love to come back.

    Alex2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

Due to COVID-19, we are only accommodating first responders, healthcare or essential personnel until 4/30. We are a Shelter in the Storm with a wood burning stove, running creek, one acre property, & mountain views from a private deck with BBQ. Find peace & rest in our rural, custom-built, eco-friendly guesthouse with fully equipped kitchen, extra-large bedroom (king & full bed), living room (lots of DVDs) and full bathroom. We’re an Earth-friendly, eco-minded retreat. Be Safe. Be Strong
Our rural guesthouse was built by Joey and is extremely nice with custom cherry wood cabinets, hand scraped hardwood oak floors, beautiful tile work, ceiling fans, double-paned windows and Jamie's loving touches throughout. Hospitality is our gift and honor. We are eco-minded and truly appreciate guests who help us recycle and conserve natural resources. There is a full kitchen, woodburning stove, living room, extra large bedroom, full bathroom, and private outdoor deck with BBQ. The kitchen has a full-size stove/oven, microwave, and refrigerator and includes cookware, plate ware, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, blender, etc. The bathroom has tub and shower, and custom tile work. The bedroom is extra large with a king bed, two nightstands, table for your luggage and dresser. The other side of the bedroom has the full bed, one nightstand, bookshelf and rocker (for those will wee little ones). We have a bamboo screen available should you want more privacy in the bedroom. There is a leather couch in the living room and extra blankets. We have a radiant heating floor system, which is why we cannot allow for pets. The wood burning stove and electric radiator heater in the bedroom create a cozy environment. We've taken care to add amenities to make your stay more enjoyable such as basic spices, butter, olive oil, coffee, sugar and organic loose leaf tea from Oshala Farms (run by Jamie's cousin's Elise Higley in southern Oregon) to drink from pottery that Jamie has thrown (available for sale). We provide canvas shopping bags, backpack, sleds, local growlers and firewood. Guests may only have campfires in our presence. There will be no campfires in wind or red flag days. Period. California fires are real. In fact, the entire state of California just declared they have the right to turn off power within hours notice in the event of coinciding wind event and extreme fire danger. This is only a possibility. In the event this happens, we will provide bottled water, propane for BBQ or campstove, LED candles, block of ice for the refrigerator and board games. We have a landline for emergencies. This guesthouse is very near the John Muir Wilderness in the small town of Crowley Lake, where our only restaurant, Toms Place, closes at 8pm. Deer and bear come through our neighborhood so please clean out any food from your car when you arrive and bring inside the house. As per Mono County law for nightly rentals, as hosts we must live on the property, which we do but there is no shared wall, so we both have privacy. There will be no daily maid service. We are strict about our no smoking and no pet policy. Thanks for understanding.
Crowley Lake is a peaceful town of about 700 residents. The 13,000+foot Eastern Sierra provide the backdrop to the west and the land, and basin and White Mountains are to the east. If you forget something, there's a country store about a mile away that opens at 6am and closes at 8pm. If you go, make sure you tell her we sent you there for a fresh HOMEMADE pastries, sandwiches, breakfast burritos or pizza. Toms Place is the closest restaurant at five miles away and closes at 8pm. If you arrive late and have not eaten, you will need to drive to Mammoth Lakes for an open restaurant or store, which is 20 minutes away, weather permitting.

  • Outstanding value for the money, the Sweetwater guest house was the perfect place for our stay. Clean, cozy and well located, we couldn’t have asked for more during our stay at Mammoth Lakes. Jamie and Joey were gracious and generous hosts, who were super responsive to questions, etc., and keen to share their love for and knowledge about the eastern Sierra. Would love to go back and stay with them again if I have the chance to return to Mammoth.

Enjoy staying downtown, where you can access all of the conveniences of town, but also have views of open space, including horses grazing, right out the front door. This ground-floor apartment was recently renovated. There is lots of natural light, which heightens the beauty of the wood floors. Come stay and enjoy the mixture of classic Bishop design with a clean new look.
This residence faces south towards open land, with amazing views. It is located on a quiet street downtown.
The unit is located on a quiet street at the edge of downtown. It is four blocks from Main St., making an enjoyable walk to all of the amenities downtown has to offer. The open space out the front door is spectacular, with painted horses often meandering in the field.
  • Staying with Betsy in Bishop is fantastic. We came with two children, who fitted in perfectly; with early morning runs with the baby to local coffee shops! Betsy made us feel super welcome and her place is lovely with all catered for. We were able to walk into town within a few minutes and there was plenty of space for us all in the apartment and for parking and climbing pad storage. We would certainly recommend staying with Betsy to anyone coming to Bishop. We can’t wait to come back!

    Anna2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and enjoyable place to stay. Betsy is a very accommodating and friendly host. 10/10 would stay here again.

    Jonathan2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious unit with all your basic amenities. Central location to town and Betsy is a very communicative host.

    Henry2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Betsy’s place is cozy and perfect for a small group. Plenty of space for gear (hiking, climbing, snow activities) and within walking distance of Bishop’s Main Street where you can find great shops, food, a brewery! So many gems in Bishop! Betsy was so responsive and communication was easy. We would definitely stay again!

    Alexys2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location with lots of space in the main area to hang out. The kitchen area is tight, though it had all the essentials for our needs. A nice, clean, relaxing spot to come back to after a full day of climbing.

    Dennis2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • This space was a pleasure to be in and have as a home base while exploring Bishop and the Sierras. The walking/biking trail at the end of the road, fenced in/kid friendly yard, easy access to downtown Bishop, and super clean and cozy indoor space made our time incredibly enjoyable. We hope to return.

There are 35 acres to go on a morning stroll, or enjoy the hammock, bar-b-q, and sometimes fresh eggs for breakfast. We can provide kayaking, fishing, hiking for crystals drum circles, art & wine and a fire pit. Town & lakes at your fingertips!
400 mindful feet of unique decor that is rustic, creative magic. The loft is a wonderful place to sleep in the Tiny House Dream Lodge. It over looks everything! The kitchen is fully equipped, there is a nice shower with a little tub. It’s really fantastic!
We live just outside of the town of Bishop. We are 5 to 10 minutes away from great restaurants. We are 15 miles to Lakes and the best hiking and fishing ever. The views are spectacular!
  • This is a lovely guesthouse with ample room and nice touches. The beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of towels. We especially enjoyed the artificial candles at night that gave a warm glow to the interior. This home is on a farm complete with chickens, horses, a friendly pig, and sweet, happy dogs. If you don’t like animals, this isn’t the place for you. If you are an animal lover like me, you’ll really like it here. The location is easy to find and it’s very quiet. We can’t wait to come back!

  • We had a great stay at this tiny house. It was just right for our weekend away. Charisse was a great host with lots of info about the Bishop area, great communications and warm hospitality. Her tiny house has everything we needed and when we asked about a scrabble board game she quickly produced one from her own house. The views of the eastern Sierra, from this location, are amazing! Thank you for a great stay Charisse.

  • Wonderful place - we loved it. Peaceful, quiet environment close to town but just far enough out to make it easy to relax and decompresses. Loved being near the animals. Really cute and comfortable Tiny House.

  • Great little cabin and is a lot bigger then expected inside!

    Mark2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice space with cozy sitting room and great amenities. The host is very affable and easy to approach, and has many ideas for extra fun trips in and around Bishop. Great location, close to shops and grocery stores to get all you need. We had a wonderful time.

    Marwa2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The guest house is very charming and clean and is located on a wonderful piece of property with magnificent views of the mountains. There were a number of friendly pets (dogs, cars, and a pig!) in the yard which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hosts were extremely friendly and great communicators, making our stay hassle free. Charisse’s place was a perfect get away from Los Angeles, and we would love to return in the future!

Cute 1 bdrm recently renovated solar powered home in West Bishop with views of the Sierras & White Mtns. Adventure at your fingertips! Hiking, fishing, skiing, kayaking, biking, climbing - it's all here. Or, sit back, relax, and enjoy the views and fresh mountain air. 16 mi (20 min) to Bishop Creek/Lake Sabrina/South Lake/Buttermilk Boulders. 40 mi to Mammoth. Located in a quiet, safe, beautiful neighborhood. Home is on owner's property w/private driveway.
Our property is located in an upscale neighborhood on the outer edge of Bishop. Most homes in the area have a creek or pond running through the yard, as we do in the back. During the summer months we often see cows grazing in the back yard and the neighbor's horses in the front. Quiet and private, our street only has 4 homes on it. The neighborhood itself is lovely to walk around especially in the mornings or evenings.
  • Our stay at Katie and Pat’s place in Bishop was perfect. They were super responsive and accommodating with our check in/out times. Pat has great recommendations for nearby hikes and we were stoked to check out some local spots off the grid. The house was also completely spotless and felt really spacious for the two of us. Would definitely recommend staying here

    Elizabeth2020-03-14T00:00:00Z

  • Convenient location for our ski day at Mammoth. Great space, full kitchen, everything we could want for a home base!

    Kaitlin2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Katie & Pat's cottage is the perfect setting for a weekend of exploring in and around Bishop. It was really the idea location with great access to town and a mere 15 minute drive to the Happies and Sads bouldering areas. The cottage itself was super cozy and comfortable. Additionally, being able to make full use of the kitchen amenities helped us save money we would have needed to potentially spend on eating out.

Bishop, California. Bishop is a small town located in California's famous Eastern Sierra. Bishop is 45 minutes south of Mammoth Lakes, CA. Mammoth Mountain has world-class skiing and mountain biking (bike park). This area is known for the Sierra Nevada mountains where climbing, skiing, hiking, fishing, sight seeing is unrivaled. Yosemite National Park is a 1.5 hour drive. Mono Lake is a 1 hour drive. Death Valley is a 2.5 hour drive. World-Class Sierra Nevada backpacking is a 20 minute drive.
The house is cozy but open and welcoming. Good-sized backyard with lawn and great patio. Close to everything in Bishop, but not downtown, so you’ll need to drive if going downtown. Super quiet neighborhood.
1.5 miles from the Tri-County Fairgrounds. Trails and open space walking two blocks from the house.
  • Great place! Good base camp for my Eastern Sierra fishing and sightseeing. Rooms were clean and amenities were spot on. I will definitely keep this in mind for future visits.

This a 1000 sq/foot house with a full kitchen. It is located on a 1acre+ property shared with the main 1950's stone home. The proprietors live onsite and work all day on the premise. The house has an open floor plan. There is a large deck off of the master bedroom which accesses the back yard. The house is bright and charming. Our neighborhood is tucked away, quiet and conveniently located. It is important to note this is a working farm. It is eclectic. Please read on to "other things to note".
Most locals do not even know this neighborhood is here. Originally a land trade, it is tucked away as one reaches the outskirts of town. This property is at the very end of this funky 5 acre development and is one of a kind. The guest house, once an in law unit for an aging relative of the previous owner, is lovely and bright. This is a wonderful place for active individuals who seek a eclectic, relaxing environment to come back to after a wonderful day of outdoor enjoyment, or work. **Please familiarize yourselves with the rules as they were created to abide by the county code and with respect of my delightful neighbors.**
Our neighborhood is tucked away, quiet and conveniently located. This house has easy, quick access to the town of Bishop, "the small town with a big backyard". The grocery store is 3 minutes away. A 45 minutes drive takes you to Mammoth Lakes and its fabulous ski area etc. Climbing areas, like the Buttermilks, are just a hop away. Open space surrounds the property on 3 sides, which clears the views to the Sierra Nevada to the West and the White mountains to the East.
  • The warmth and kindness Sabrina radiated onto my friends and I during our stay made us feel more like we were staying at a long time friend’s home than an airbnb. It’s hard to find a more peaceful spot than a quiet, while buzzing with happy farm animals, property afoot the beautiful eastern Sierras. The house itself was perfect. Clean, simple, filled with the necessities, comfortable, and homey. The fresh goat milk, Sabrina’s farm wisdom, and the privilege of getting to hangout with well cared for goats, chickens, and a rescued calf added to the home’s dreaminess.

  • 10 out of 10 recommend this place!! It’s a few minutes out of the main hustle & bustle of Mammoth so it was beautiful & quiet. The studio was VERY clean and so comfortable for 2 people! The host was very responsive & went out of her way to give my husband & I a honeymoon gift! If you find yourself in Mammoth for any amount of time — pick this studio to stay!!

  • This place is as good as it gets. Highly recommended, here’s why. - Super clean and stylish room (I almost didn’t want to touch anything because of how good it looked) - Nice Features (Nice shower with good hot water, a nicely stocked kitchen, and a smart tv!) - Feel (This place feels so nice and cozy! It’s much more inviting than a manufactured hotel room) - Convenient location: (There’s a general store and gas station about 2 minutes from the house) - Great Hosts (Check-in/out was a breeze, and the two very nice hosts were reachable by phone, and were quick to respond) In summary I truly believe this place is as good as it gets and I would love to stay here again in the future.

  • Kelly's place was amazing. Just 30mins away from Mammoth Ski resorts. It couldn't have been a more perfect place to stay. Other than slow service from Netflix, everything was beyond great. She was extremely quick and responsive as well. I would highly recommend.

  • My wife and I picked this place as our stay for a weekend trip up to mammoth for some snowboarding. We were a little skeptical about the privacy as it was our first time renting a back house via AIR BNB but were beyond pleased with the stay. The place was very roomy, very very clean, with new furniture, and the host’s communication was excellent. The unit is separated from the main house, doesn’t appear to share a wall, and has plenty of privacy. Would definitely return again.

    Manuel2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly and Marc's studio is a great place to stay. We loved the quiet neighborhood and the studio is just perfect for 2 people. It snowed quite a bit during our stay and Marc kept the sidewalks and driveway snow free the entire time.

    Charles2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly and Marc were super warm, friendly and accommodating hosts and we had a really great stay with them. The guesthouse is over their garage, totally separate from their living space, with a coded entry. Everything is brand new and really comfortable. The bed’s a firm memory foam mattress, which was perfect for us after several days of sore backs and joints from hiking. The kitchen’s well-stocked and modern, the bathroom’s newly renovated with really good water pressure, all the appliances are clean and new and you couldn’t ask for a nicer duo as hosts. They really went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome and we can’t wait to stay with them again!

Taimur and I live in a sunny house with two beautiful and friendly dogs, Ally and Chief. They tend to show their love through their barks at times. Further, your room is bright and cozy, with closet space. The living room and kitchen are yours anytime you please. Both are large and clean and come fully equipped with cookware, plates, silverware, etc. Anything you could want from town is a few minutes walk away and you get views of the mountain skyline.
Feel free to take our commuter bike out for a spin anytime. The washer and dryer are yours anytime you like. There is free street parking right out front of the house.
We live on a quiet street lined with beautiful cottonwood trees that turn a brilliant yellow in the fall, but are still only a 2 minute walk from Main Street. Views of Mt. Humphreys, Basin Mountain, and Mt. Tom are around every corner. We're right next to the Bishop town park too, which has a pleasant stream running through it.
  • We absolutely loved staying here. We were sad we only got to spend one night because we were only here for the weekend but it was so worth it! They have 2 sweet dogs, the bedroom was clean and comfy! The hosts were the best part of this! So friendly and knowledgeable about the area - we had a good time chatting with them! Highly recommend and since we always come to ski, this will be our go to place to stay! Thanks!!

  • We stayed here for a quick night en route to Mammoth. We met Natalie and her co-hosts, and all were very friendly and accommodating! The dogs are very friendly, and excitable. As mentioned in the listing- they definitely barked on our arrival, as we got settled, and a bit more here and there, but were very sweet at every interaction. The place is very clean, comfortable, and a great place to crash along the way to Mammoth (beautiful scenic drive in/out). The kitchen had what we needed before we continued our journey the next morning - some space in the refrigerator, a toaster oven, and Natalie and Tim made us a fantastic cup of local coffee for the road as they shared some local tips. Overall a good stay and good value in a beautiful spot :)

  • Highly recommend! This space/stay exceeded our expectations. From the initial communication with the (super-duper) host to the super clean space (I have very high standards, and it was spotless); this stay was the best AirBnB experience I've ever had. What's more was the remarkable hosts; they greeted us warmly, and made us feel very welcome. They are so knowledgable and immersed in the town and surrounding terrain, and were a wealth of resource. So grateful that we found this place. Thanks so much, Natalie & Tim!!.

  • Natalie and Taimur were great hosts ! They made us feel very welcome and we loved Ally and chief (dogs). It's especially amazing if you are into climbing as they're really knowledgeable and enthusiastic :)

  • Natalie, Taimur and Tim were very friendly and helpful hosts during our stay. Bishop became our favourite city in the US (we are on a road trip) - great flair and wonderful nature nearby.

  • Very nice, clean and stylish hostel. Better value than any motel in Bishop if you're willing to share rooms. There are privacy curtains at each bunk so that's not a problem. They even include ear plugs incase your roommate snores. Irene at the office was very kind and helpful in showing me everything when I arrived at night. Overall it was a great experience I wouldn't mind repeating. Try it out and see for yourself.

  • Had a very relaxing stay here, the communal room/space was great - so much room for cooking and great that there was washing facilities! The bunk room was clean, tidy and thoughtfully planned with numbered hooks and drawers for your belongings. Nice outdoor spaces too to soak up the sun. Would definitely recommend Holy Smoke BBQ opposite for great food!

A couple other good choices are The Tri County Fairgrounds for hook-ups and convenient in town location; and Brown's Millpond seasonally along a creek. • This was a perfect place for what we needed in our time in Bishop. Mike was very accommodating to our needs and made the stay easy, comfortable, and safe. Mike was also on top of his communication game and was also very kind. Because the camper is obviously moveable, he was able to park it in a place that was convenient for us, which was very nice. The camper itself was just as a camper should be— tiny, cozy, and livable. All exactly what we needed in our time there, and good for what we paid.

  • Wonderful host. Extremely friendly and helpful. He delivered the trailer to our camp spot, and even setup a couple of chairs for us out by the fire pit. Will definitely be re-booking in the future

    Michael2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Camper was exactly as described and everything worked just fine. We were off grid in it for 8 nights and still had plenty of water and battery left at the end of it. (We did conserve and mainly showered in town.). All in all we were very happy with it.

    Chris2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • We are tent people and this was something fun for the kids at the colder end of the season. If you are also not a regular camper-user, I highly recommend this experience, especially if you have kids and especially with Mike! Just be sure to get a hook-up site to really enjoy it!

  • Do not hesitate for a second using this camper! The price is great and more than we expected. My family and I had a blast for Labor Day weekend. I can care less if a camper is brand new or years old... as long as it's clean, the air conditioning/heater works and I can fit my family of 5, we are good to go. This camper exceeded my expectations. I don't know if it's the fact that usually we are in a tent (never again), or just the fact that everything was perfect and described just how it should be. The communication with Mike was great. He had the camper set up for us before we got there. The refrigerator was cool enough to put our food in, the freezer was super cold and the air was on. Being that it was in the high 90's, we rarely turned off the air (at Keough's, it's hook-ups). We pretty much used all the amenities. The stove and microwave worked great. Mike had clean towels for us as well as toiletries and provided us info if we needed assistance at any time. I can't thank you enough and we are looking forward to the next trip.

  • Mike, the owner, is very responsive. Everything in the RV was working and it is just as described. It is an older RV, but in good shape. If I am in the area again, I will contact Mike again. Highly recommended.

  • This camper is a great find. Its perfect for a couple. Clean, well organized and well supplied with kitchen items. The couch and bed are comfortable. Air conditioning works great. There is a stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator. Mike communicates well with you regarding arrival and departure times. We appreciate that because the camper is waiting for us upon our arrival. Thanks again for a great stay! We will back soon!

    Duke2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We love Mike's Camper! It's like borrowing a trailer from a good friend. The space is functional and meets all your needs. It could 100 degrees outside and the air conditioning cools the insides almost immediately. Mike will have the camper right before you arrive in Bishop. The fridge and freezer worked great. If you want a quaint, utilitarian space to enjoy the outdoors, choose Mike's Camper. We plan to rent Mike's Camper every chance we get for vacation!
