  • This place is beautiful! Nice views and hot tub and outdoor space. Inside is cozy and the loft bedroom is just like a big slumber party. The host is so kind and caring it made the whole experience really enjoyable. Definitely recommend!

  • We rented both apartments for a staff party. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the views and socialise around the pool and bbq. Kerri Lea was a great host. The horses are very friendly and the river nearby was a beautiful spot to swim. We plan to make it an annual event and can't wait to return.

    Andrea2015-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really, it's a very luxurious experience in this villa. We can swim at the same time enjoy the scenery. The scenery is splendid. Several people shared one bedroom is interesting. But because of the pillars of room, we must keep mind of head. But the experience is really very good.

    Lisa2014-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, wow, wow, we wanted to move in for good:-) Both Kerri-Lea as the host and her lovely daughter Denny made us welcome as if we were part of the family. This meant a lot considering we were bringing extended family who had never been to Australia before - many thanks again for your warmth and kindness Kerri-Lea As for the location, house, pool house(where we practically lived), BBQ, Bar area and of course pool - fantastic, what else to say, and what better place to recover from the long flight to Oz. The Gold Coast hinterland also offers a little breather from the Gold Coast itself, but is close enough to get anywhere. Calm, quiet and stunning afternoon views, with the odd cocky or kooka to break the calm. Many thanks again, we had a super time, and more importantly we'll be sure to return ASAP.

  • We did not get to meet the owners, but Kim and her husband who were looking after the place were very welcoming and accommodating. The property is amazing, especially the outdoors area with barbecue, spa, a huge pool and a trampoline! Not to mention the fantastic view. The guest house was very homely and had everything we needed for the weekend.

    Guillaume2014-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house was everything we were hoping for, plus more! We rented the house for a birthday & had 8 people staying in the house. There were more than enough beds for all of us. We spent the day out in the pool & taking in the scenery! The house had plenty of towels & linen available as well as all kitchen essentials. It is a lovely place to stay & I would recommend it to anyone considering staying there!!

    Mary2013-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kerri-Lea's place is amazing. It is a mountain retreat within easy reach of the city. I was up early one morning and watched the hot air balloons take off in the distance. Would love to stay again!

Come stay with Vinh & Stuart (Awarded one of Australia's top hosts by Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky & key shareholder Ashton Kutcher. We're Sydney's #1 reviewed hosts too). Find out why we've been positively reviewed 500+ times. Please read our listing first (hint hint) We do not accept reservations from people without a verified profile. And please do not make a reservation request before we have exchanged messages. We're keen to chat 1st and make sure we can offer you a "Five Star Stay"
Please say hello and message us *BEFORE* you make your reservation request... It'll help speed things up, and smooth things out... Please read our listing. It will make getting a confirmed reservation so much easier :) See below (hint hint) -- G'Day from Vinh & Stuart in Sydney! Thanks for coming to check out our listing :) We have another btw... http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/73639 if this one is unavailable "Sydney City Home with Harbour Views"; our spare room in the attic. We're pretty relaxed hosts, and as Sydney's #1 hosts we play an active part in the Airbnb community, but we fully appreciate staying with someone else, in their home home, is not for every-one. We get it, our place isn't for everyone. So we won't be offended if you leave this listing (there's plenty of other great Airbnb listings to choose from that don't offer a hosted experience). As we were among the first Airbnb'ers in Australia (travellers + hosts) we've developed quite an extensive profile based on all the guest questions we've answered over the years. Reading through the description to the end (hint hint), and the "House Rules", will mean you'll find all the important information you need to make your Sydney Airbnb stay a fantastic one. Feel free to send us a message with any question you have about us, our home, Pyrmont, Sydney, or Airbnb... We'd love to hear from you! :D This is not a business, or a hotel. We're casual Airbnb hosts, not hoteliers. This is our family home. We live here. You are not be renting an empty apartment. This is not a 'sub-let'. And we do not have a team of porters waiting to take your bags any time of the day or night. Our "check in" / "arrival time" / "bag drop" is all the same thing. Your room: * Private bedroom (with a lockable door) * Queen size bed * All linen, pillows, blankets, towels, etc, provided too * Fully air-conditioned * Wifi Light Breakfast (cereals, fruits, toasts) included: * Breakfasty things and tasty treats * Seasonal Fruits * Bread for toasting * Total access to "the Seinfeld cupboard" * All the Vegemite you can handle * Teas & coffees - We're espresso fiends, please don't blame us if you leave our place fully wired, or addicted to single origin ;p Guest Bathroom (shared): * Shower with instant (full pressure) hot water * Hair-dryer * Towels provided Your Sydney Home: * Amazing views of the Sydney Harbour, White Bay, and Glebe Island * Three level terrace house * Only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Pyrmont * Just minutes walk from everything Sydney offers * Close to the Airport & all public transport * Quiet street * Outdoor deck with seating and water views * Fully air-conditioned * Free wifi throughout the entire house Couple of things you do need to know before you book: --> STEEP STAIRS - Because the house is on three levels, and the stairs are steep, we wouldn't recommend the property for people who like to travel with lots of luggage, people with any mobility issues, or for children. --> TALK WITH US FIRST - Please send us a message & have a chat with us BEFORE you make your reservation request --> THE AVAILABILITY CALENDAR IS ACCURATE - Please only make a reservation request for the exact (and complete) dates that you require. You can use the calendar on our listing to see our availability month by month. If the dates you require are not showing as available on that calendar, it's because we're booked for those dates... Sorry :( --> AGREE ARRIVAL TIMES BEFORE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION REQUEST - Guest arrival time is 6pm. Please see the "Other Things to Note" for more information about arrival times / check in / bag drop details, etc. Message us first about your intended arrival time BEFORE you make a reservation request. --> HAVE A VERIFIED PROFILE - We're much more likely to accept requests from Airbnb'ers with profiles, friends, & recommendations, etc. In the same way you feel more comfortable knowing more about the people you're staying with, we do too. And a profile pic of a cat doesn't really cut it either... PLEASE ASK - Please just send us a message if you've any questions about staying with us, or visiting Sydney. FIVE STAR STAY - Now here's the most important bit: ** Please use the code words; "Five Star Stay" when you message us about your reservation - Just drop those words into your message to us. It lets us know you've read this information and are ready for a fantastic five star hosted experience with us in our Sydney City home. Can't wait to meet you! cheers, Vinh & Stuart PS Well done for reading this far! Most people don't :( Sorry, this is so long, but we know we've answered all your questions now. And remember to use the code words; "Five Star Stay" in your message.
Pyrmont is an inner-city village of Sydney, only about 2kms from the Sydney CBD (Central Business District) / Core, right next door to Darling Harbour and Chinatown. https://www.airbnb.com.au/locations/sydney/pyrmont Pyrmont has a relaxed community feel with an inner city vibe. Pyrmont is only about 2kms (10 - 15 mins walk) from the centre of Sydney with an extensive range of local restaurants, wine bars, and pubs. There's some seriously good baristas and cafes right close to our home (Go and say hi to Damien & Tim at Bar Zini - it's one of our local faves). There's five star fine dining right through to greasy-spoon takeaways with some of Australia's finest dining restaurants within easy reach. * Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay * Exhibition and Convention Centres * Sydney Fish Markets * Pyrama Point Park * Jones Bay Wharf * The Star (Casino) with Food Halls, Bars, and the Lyric Theatre * Powerhouse Museum * National Maritime Museum Also (back on the food - notice a theme?): * Two grocery / supermarkets within an easy walk * Also a great wine-merchant (and craft beers) on the end of our street * Fantastic deli Signorelli Gastronomia round the corner * Food stores, grocery, and supermarkets * Pyrmont Growers Market 1st Saturday monthly; farm direct & artisan foodies. Pyrmont was once a thriving industrial waterfront / working port area with ship-building, factories and wool-stores. Over the last decade there's been a considerable influx of new residents and commercial / residential development that has transformed the area into a trendy mix of inner city residents and commercial HQs. For example Goo gle has their Sydney office, the "Goo gleplex" just down the road, as is Fairfax Media, NOKIA, and the Seven Network (TV). Media Production houses, boutique cable TV channels, etc. The UTS (University of Technology) campus, the ABC's Ultimo headquarters (Australia's National Broadcaster), the Sydney Convention Centre, and the Sydney Entertainment Centre, are all within walking distance. Sydney University is about 20 minutes walk away (only 10 mins in a cab or bus). Eat, drink, and be merry: Being ex-restaurateurs we'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction for a great meal in Sydney. And there's plenty on tap too. You can't walk more than a block in any direction without walking into the front bar of a local pub, or a wine bar, or a great cafe, or restaurant… To give you an idea, there's 9 of Sydney's top 10 restaurants within easy walking distance: * Rockpool * Momofuku Seiobo * Quay * Sepia * Est * Rockpool Bar & Grill * Tetsuya's * Bentley * The Bridge Room And there's plenty of local colour and great tastes whatever your price point or culinary favourite. With a full range of cafes and restaurants in between, right through to the cheap & cheerful Harry's Cafe de Wheels (a late night Sydney institution), Noodle King, and all the vibrant offerings of Chinatown there's no end of options... Modern Australian, Persian, Goan, Japanese, Indonesian, Malay, Italian, Indian... All at our door Must do's (our local faves) in Pyrmont include: * Bar Zini * Gallon * Blue Eye Dragon * Le Trader * Social Brew * Made in Italy * Vrindavan Indian Restaurant * Hamachi-Ya * Kura * Hannah's Pies * Pioik Bakery * Flying Fish * Signorelli Gastronomia * The Apprentice * Brio * Yuzu * Sokyo * Persian Room * BLACK by Ezzard * Cafe Morso * Little Monk Get the idea? (and we haven't even hit Chinatown yet!) Pyrmont is really close to the Sydney CBD and the other inner city villages: * An easy 10 minute walk into the city centre * Shopping: QVB, TGV, etc… "Lacroix Sweetie Lacroix" * Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, and BridgeClimb * King Street Wharf * Museum of Contemporary Art * Art Gallery of NSW * Sydney Museum * Hyde Park * Botanic Gardens * Chinatown, Paddy's Markets, and the Chinese Gardens * Surry Hills * Paddington * The historic Rocks area * Kings Cross * CarriageWorks Famers Markets @ Eveleigh every Saturday * Pyrmont Farmer Markets 1st Saturday of the month
  • Beautiful accommodation, well placed for getting in to Central Station or walking to Darling Harbour. Vinh and Stuart were charming hosts.

  • 2 nice and very helpful guys. Nice place very close to everything!

  • Vinh and Stuart are great hosts - very welcoming and I certainly felt at home in their home. This was my first time using airbnb and my first experience was a great one. Their home is beautiful, clean and is a relaxed place and it was fantastic for what I needed – easy walking distance to Darling Harbour and onto the city. I enjoyed my time with them and would be very happy to visit again. Thank you very much Vinh, Stuart & Kenji

    Steven2013-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying with Vinh, Stuart and Kenji! They were so friendly and welcoming of us into their home and gave us some great advice on where to eat and what to see. Their home and the room we stayed in was beautiful, clean and fully equipped - they even had umbrellas for us to borrow when it rained! Their home is in such a convenient location that we walked everywhere, although there was public transport very close by too. We would highly recommend a stay with them and hope we get the opportunity to stay there again too.

    Alison2014-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was the second time we stayed with Vinh and Stuart. They are great hosts and the house and room are comfortable. They are experienced hosts and are well equipped.

    Noy & Evie2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Only stayed for a couple of nights but were made to feel most welcome. Location was excellent with a great local pub. Both Vin & Stuart were excellent hosts but very much just let you get on with things and offered advice and help about Sydney if you needed it. I would highly recommend staying with them.

    Alan2011-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay with Vinh (Stuart was out on business). Their house is tastefully decorated with a view to the water, clean, comfortable, and easy access to the city center. Vinh is very friendly and helpful with good advice how to go about the city. We enjoyed our stay and conversation with him, and have no hestation to recommend their house to our friends. And we hope we'll visit them again.

    Jin2011-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Vinh and Stuart was fantastic. They house is amazing and they are wonderful hosts who made me feel entirely at home. Open, relax and very helpful, they made my short stay in Sydney very special. The house is in a beautiful position and in a part of town that it is easily accessible by public transport. You can even walk from there to CBD and to all Sydney's iconic tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

    Pyrmont, NSW, Australia

Commanding views across historic City Hall and Paris End Skyscrapers, this centrally located apartment sits within the famous 1924 early modernist/Art Deco Capitol Theatre Building, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright trained architect, Walter Burley Griffin. Griffin is renowned for his design for Australia's capital city, Canberra.
A modern one bed apartment in the absolute heart of the CBD overlooking the Second Empire style Neoclassical Melbourne Town Hall built in 1870. At just under 50 sq m (Melbourne inner city apartments are generally not as large as in suburbia and space is a premium) it is equipped for stays for one or two people. Features include comfortable queen size bed, Euro galley kitchen and contemporary bathroom. With public transport, restaurants, bars and much more at the doorstep, it is convenient to everything Melbourne city has to offer from 'Paris' end Collins St. shopping, to the Arts Precinct and Laneway coffee and food - it's all at your doorstep or within 10-15 minute walk. The Capitol Theatre building is heritage listed and as such, the original features such as the huge windows, and interior column detailing dating from 1924 are there to appreciate in original condition as a contrast to the more recent interior renovations and modernisation. The heritage listing also exerts it own challenges for owners and requires us to respect the original fabric of the building - such things as windows and walls cannot be altered and remain a beautiful and tangible reflection of times long past. The space is also a reflection of my life philosophy of "less is more". Clearing out superfluous items, walking/cycling or public transporting, and living in a space that is no larger than it needs to be for my needs - is benefiting the health of the planet and my own wellbeing. It is also an ideal way to live for those needing to travel frequently or perhaps just to love the feeling of freedom that comes with this lifestyle. I hope you enjoy as much as I do - the subtle patina of history that the space exudes and that is served so well by the convenience and aesthetics of the surrounding 'borrowed' landscape - the wonderful facades and 'living rooms' of the city, and its excellent transportation systems. Please enjoy my humble abode!
Your first breakfast is on me if you want to stay 'in'! Cereals, croissants, fresh fruit, and milk are provided - or there are plenty of local alternatives a minute or two walk if you have a little more time. HOWEVER - Melbourne is internationally renowned for its food scene and brunch is an institution. Melbourne will only reveal its best to those who do a little curious research and get out and into it! Laneway cafes are within a short walk and offer great food from breakfast to dinner. DeGraves Street and Centre Place are famous for their cafe's and are only a 5 minute walk away. Federation Square is a short 6 minute walk and underground there you will find the Melbourne Visitor Centre for all your tourist information and booking needs. Drop by the Arts Precinct to catch a show or an exhibition or go shopping and eating to your hearts content. Currency exchange tellers and banks are in close proximity. There's a huge and diverse array of sights to see and things to do in Melbourne so I have provided a list of recommendations and brochures for your information. The Tourist Information Centre is 5-6 minutes walk away for extra help. I have also added a number of recommendations to the Guidebook, from top end restaurants and classy cocktails, Asian bao zi, and jao zi to 'eat and runs' and much more! Check it out! (NOTE: all times are derived from GMaps walking directions and will vary according to your individual capacity)
  • Donna's apartment is in the most perfect location. Easy walk to great cafes, shows, transport and much more. Her communication was prompt and accurate and along with this she is a wealth of information! Her 'little black book' was full of great recommendations. Perfect stay. Perfect host.

    Nicole 2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was an excellent host. From the moment we booked her communication was excellent. Her apartment has everything you need and LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. The extra little treats she leaves for you adds something special. Her back garden tour goes above and beyond. All and all an excellent stay and I would definitely recommend and stay there in the future.

    Brendan2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This Melbourne apartment is the perfect location! Very central and close to shopping, restaurants, and local transportation. Donna met us at the apartment and walked us through how everything worked in the apartment and even took us on a short tour around the area and pointed out some great restaurants nearby and even some museums to check out. This apartment is within 5 minutes (walking) of most everything you want to see, and 15 minutes away (walking) from everything else. Even though it is in the heart of the city, it is surprisingly quiet at night. Donna left us chocolates, fruit and some breakfast items and tram cards to make our stay even better. We loved staying in this apartment and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay while visiting Melbourne. We hope to come back soon!

    Allison2015-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was fantastic! She took us on a short tour of the surrounding cafe's and lane ways on arrival. The apartment was gorgeous, and the location was perfect. We had such an incredible view of Town Hall too. The little touches - from the breakfast foods left for us, to the Easter eggs on our pillow, made our stay even better. Thanks so much for having us Donna, we'll be back! Lyndal & Luke

    Lyndal2015-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Donna's apartment has been our best airbnb experience! It is located right smack in the middle of swanston street with so much food! Free tram stop within 1 min walk too! Donna's apartment is so fully stocked with daily necessities all of which are of quality! There is also a mobile heater which we pushed to the toilet to keep it warm and toasty during baths too. Overall, we love it and would like to come and stay here again if we come to melbourne next time.

    Albert2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a pleasant stay in the heart of CBD! So convenient and close to everything I need to see and do. From the minute I arrived, Donna was ready and greeted me at her apartment. She gave me a mini tour around her block to show me all the best places to eat and a cute hidden bar in the back laneways. Her place was really clean and everything I needed for my short stay was easily accessible or available. She had the pantry stocked with snacks and juices in the fridge. The laundry worked well for me to do a quick wash and hang dry overnight. Didn't have the chance to cook or watch TV since I didn't want to spend a moment without exploring the city! Would be happy to stay again if I am in Melbourne in the future!

    Susan2015-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely welcome, to a beautiful warm apartment. Fantastic coffee and dinner recommendations. Thankyou Donna

    Judith2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I were staying in Melbs for a night before our flight back to the states. We literally booked Donna's apt a week before. She was in great communication with directions from the airport. Her apt was absolute bliss and we wish we could've stayed longer. It was also the first time a host has showed us around the local hood if secret/recommended places. You can't beat the location, with a zillion places to eat and hang out. We loved the view and the NYC charm of the apt.

  • Lovley apartment, very nice furnishings and very comfy double bed. Not huge but I think this is fairly standard in Melbourne. Great stay, great location, thanks Nina!

    James2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • My staff stayed here and said it was excellent value for money - although they couldn't find anywhere to park their car nearby. Nina was most helpful and gave very clear check-in instructions. We'd stay again.

Step right into a little piece of Heaven & Earth - one of Melbourne city's rarest hidden sanctuaries - lovingly imagined & hand crafted by a couple who wanted to bring a little more joy, romance and excitement to the world. Take a moment and escape into a magical experience of spending a night in the middle of forest and clouds at the very heart of Melbourne CBD. And while you're at it, also enjoy all the best restaurants & attractions of Melbourne CBD within walking distance.
Fully equiped kitchen Netflix available via AppleTV Super-fast WiFi Fully air-conditioned We're Klaudia (Sanctuary Artist), Jonathan (Data Magician), Maria (Fairy Godmother) and Tony (Maker of Worlds), a multi-cultural family all living in Melbourne. We're all different in many ways, but we all share one thing in common: passion for unique and magical experiences. We have long since wished there were easy ways to escape our busy city lives and retreat into a magical, beautiful and peaceful space that feels like another world. This idea eventually evolved into a mission to build with our own hands Melbourne's very own magical sanctuaries, and to share it with the rest of the world. We love imagining what we could create, to build, and to share them with the world through hosting. We constantly think about how to make our creations bring even greater sense of joy and wonder, and not about how much it'll cost us. We're genuinely excited and happy to host each new guest, to hear about what they love about our creations, and what we could do to make it even better. We have built and opened our first instalment of Melbourne's hidden sanctuary, which we lovingly refer to as "Heaven & Earth". We have plans to make it even better, as well as other ideas for other worlds we want to try building for our next instalments. We invite you to step into one of our hidden sanctuaries, to follow our journey on social media, and to watch and help us grow by sharing what you think!

    Dayna2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! I truly felt transported sleeping under the clouds and meditating in the pod chair hanging in a beautiful indoor forest. Not only is the appartment magnificent, the comms fantastic (quick and very clear) and a beautiful attention to detail (the towels and a pack of ores were tied up with bows!) but the location is excellent - central CBD with trams below and no city noise. I can't recommend this place more... If its free stay here! I just loved it. You will too.

    Jessica2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The host was lovely and very responsive. Met me on arrival, made sure I had everything and was comfortable. The apartment was so central to the tram line yet the amazing interior was so relaxing... it was a great way to escape from the city.

A beautiful sunny space in the heart of Fitzroy with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ideal for a solo traveller or couple who want to experience Melbourne like locals.
This beautiful studio apartment has been recently renovated and is ideally located in Fitzroy within walking distance to Melbourne CBD. It is ideal for a single person or a couple. The apartment is on the first floor of a small block of units (18 in total) surrounded by greenery. Our studio apartment (approximately 32m2) is tastefully decorated and has a large window overlooking Napier Street which gets lovely morning light.
Fitzroy is one of the most exciting and vibrant neighbourhoods in Melbourne. Our apartment is located just off Gertrude Street, between Brunswick Street and Smith Street, all which offer some of the most interesting cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries and shops in town.
  • This is a beautiful, well-lit flat in a perfect location - fifteen minute walk to the city, minutes to Fitzroy and Collingwood bars and cafes. Everything we needed we had. We loved staying here.

    Sean2014-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was the second time that we have stayed in this apartment and we had a great experience once again. The clean and cozy apartment is in the heart of Fitroy and everything is just a short stroll or tram ride away. We felt like locals in no time. Highly recommended.

    Rhys2014-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at this beautiful little apartment in Fitzroy! The place is spills over with morning and afternoon light and is full of character and personal touches: from the vibrant hanging plants to the butcher block countertop, this place could not have been laid out with more care and a better eye for detail. It was well stocked and well curated, with all the comforts of home, and just the right size for the two of us. We found a very thorough welcome packet when we arrived, including places to see and eat in the area. The apartment's right in the heart of Fitzroy, very well placed in an area that's a joy to walk around. We never ran out of great coffee houses and cute shops to visit! This apartment was even more beautiful than the pictures make it seem, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Kate2015-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't have a chance to meet our hosts, but the place was very cute and so convenient! Gorgeous cafes right outside and we loved the guide to cafes and restaurants that our hosts had put together. A great place to stay if you want to be in the middle of funky Fitzroy.

    Jo2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Has & Kate's place was really lovely. The apartment interior is hip and comfortable, with huge windows and lots of natural light. I loved their design aesthetic, very cool local art and modern furniture. It is very much a city apartment, with some quirks, interesting design details, and a super cozy interior. The location of this apartment is pretty ideal. Just a block from the tram so getting around the city is easy, and literally steps away from some of the best brunch spots in town. I couldn't have asked for better. We really appreciated Kate's map of local favorites, and had a fun time exploring the neighborhood. A great experience. Top recommendations!

    Angela2013-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • I recently spent 4 nights in the Bright apartment in vibrant Fitzroy and really enjoyed my stay. The apartment is cheery with lots of northerly sunshine. The bed was super comfy, and the whole apartment was clean and welcoming. Kate was easy to deal with, and the location is fantastic if you like good food and the chance to browse in some interesting shops. Some great books on the shelf too, but who has time to read when you are away and with so much to explore!

    Jane2014-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment had everything we needed and was in the perfect spot! Right around the corner from almost everywhere we wanted to go! Thanks :)

    Carlee2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved it here! Such a beautiful apartment close to the city, tram and the cool Gertrude/smith and Brunswick streets. So many great places to eat and shop (smart Alec hatters is my new favourite hat shop). Apartment is exactly how it looks in the pics. Just gorgeous!

  • Lovely arty apartment with a great host. Natalie made us feel so welcome that our baby boy had to give her a long cuddle goodbye! Very convenient spot with everything you need.

    Hazim2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • We have just got back from a fantastic 3 week trip to Oz and we decided to end our stay with 4 nights at Natalie's apartment and what an excellent decision that was! It is a really beautiful and modern space with lots of great art and furniture. Natalie treated us like old friends and gave us loads of great tips on what to do in the city, we were rather restricted this time as had other family to consider but we'll definitely be back to complete the list of activities should we be lucky enough to come to Melbourne again!

    Laneway Art Apartment 2brm
    145 reviews
Beautifully stylish, unique and thoughtful design in the most trendy location in Sydney. A short stroll to the hippest cafes, shops and transport to anywhere in the city (5 minutes walk from central station).
Uniquely spacious 1 bedroom flat. The flat is one of two seperate apartments in a heritage listed terrace nestled on a lovely residential street in Surry Hills. Our space flows over the entire bottom floor of the terrace and is accessed by a seperate private door. The space has an open flow between kitchen and lounge areas and the bedroom is tucked in behind a thick (12mm) glass wall with adjustable timber venetian blinds and a block out curtain across the entrance makes for a completely private space. The flat is equipped with anything you might need to make sure your stay is pleasurable; including comfortable leather lounges, a well equipped kitchen with nespresso coffee machine, new dishwasher, ceramic cooktop and stainless appliances (no oven though so if you must have freshly baked muffins for breakfast check the guidebook for some great options at your door step ;-). Wifi is of course provided as well as ample desk space and the TV comes (apart from the free to air channel) with a netflix subscription and access to abc iview and sbs on demand so if you're tired of exploring the city just kick back and relax on the comfortable lounge and catch up with the latest. There is also a tiny, really really small! courtyard out the back that we've earmarked for a herb garden - stay tuned... In a nutshell - the terrace is very well maintained, with renovated interiors but the bones of the terrace are lovely, quirky and old style. Typical Sydney urban living on a leafy quiet street.
Sydney is best known for it's beaches and picture perfect, glistening harbour but in recent years it's starting to give Melbourne a run for it's money when it comes to great bars, amazing food, off centre arts and culture (pronounced as a nasal 'Cultcha'). Surry hills is where it all happens in Sydney - you really can't get closer to the trendy heart of our city than this. Walk to the centre of crown and oxford street central, china town, and the sports venues (SCG, Allianz Stadium and fox studios). We've included some of our favourite neighbourhood haunts as well as some worth checking out further afield. Eating and Drinking in the hood: For great coffee - Rebuen Hills is a roastery and cafe around the corner on albion street. Salary man has AMAZING seasonal food - asian with a modern twist - make sure you book. Tokyo bird Bodega (it's on the list not because WE recommend it but because others will - some people rave about it but we have had some pretty average fare here) Pasta Emilia on Riley is a quaint little italian grocer with THE BEST pasta.. Bills - on crown street is a sydney institution for sunday brunch.. Dimitris Pizza - thin crusted pizza in unassuming surrounds. Our favorite pizza in sydney... Mille Vini nice little italian wine bar and tapas on crown street. For Groceries About Life - on crown street is a good place for organic everything including everything from healthy takeaway to organic shampoo.. Woolworths express on the corner of Elizabeth and foveaux street is good for inner city groceries. Other amenities in the hood: The Library on crown street across from the shannons reserve is a lovely peaceful space. Markets: specialising in handmade, second-hand and recycled goods. The surry hills markets are held on the first Saturday of every month in Shannon Reserve, on the corner of Crown and Collins Streets. Not too further afield in the city: Try out the Spice Alley tucked in a little hidden alley behind george street. The Cooke & Philip swimming pool is a fantastic brutalist concrete truly urban pool. Also don;t miss the White Rabbit Gallery for a touch of very contemporary, very accessible Chinese art housed in a lovely 3 storey rennovated surrounds complete with a tearoom downstairs - great for a rainy day...
  • If you don't stay here while in Sydney, you ARE missing out! Noa and Max are phenomenal hosts. Their communication, professionalism and friendliness was excellent and the studio an absolute dream. It's gorgeous, comfortable, spacious and pristine - but full of character. It's also in a great location with the most delicious restaurants around. We were so sad to leave but will definitely be back again. Thank you Noa and Max!

  • Convenient and cosy apartment in the heart of Surry Hills. A great location just a stone's throw from bustling Crown Street and hip Riley Street. The apartment is aptly named and has the appearance of an urban workspace now converted as a flat. One thing that guests should note is that the apartment upstairs is occupied and sound proofing is not so good. Luckily the people above were very respectful at the time of our stay.

    Kate2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Noa is an amazing host, she provided us great advices. The place is absolutely amazing: we loved the modern and zen decoration, all the details, romantic vibes. It's really easy to walk in the center of Sydney, only 7m walk from the Central Station. The area is really cool, trendy with cafés and restaurants, shops... we definitely recommend this place and hope to come back soon!

The MCG, Etihad Stadium, and Hisense arena are all close by. Melbourne shopping is at your doorstep!
  • The location of Jenny's apartment is perfect, within walking distance of major attractions, like the MCG and Botanical Gardens and very close to public transport. Plus a number of very nice eateries just across the road. We had dinner at rice paper scissors and the Japanese shaba place. Highly recommended! We loved the nice & airy feel of the apartment and the big windows with the stunning views!!! One of the best AirBnB places my wife and I have stayed at so far. We'll definitely be back on our next return to Melbourne. Thanks Jenny!

And the conveniency of the place in the CBD was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I would definitely book this place again when I have the opportunity.

  • We were warmly greeted- with a tour of the apartment and local tips given. The apartment was just as advertised. We had a great stay at Jenny's , the location is unbeatable- surrounded by great cafes, restaurants, theater district, china town and on the free tram route. Spotlessly clean and stylishly furnished. Would highly recommend.

    Chloe2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wow well I would highly recommend Jennifer's apartment. We were extremely happy with it and the photos are 100% true. It is so tastefully decorated as well as being so comfortable and homely. Position wise again 10/10 - close to so many great restaurants, coffee places, trams and train station and yet if all the places I have stayed in Melbourne it was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Melbourne.

    Nicole2015-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We were very warmly welcomed by Cheryl, associate of Mel, despite the fact that we reached very late at 10 p.m. She also gave very useful advice and in fact accompanied us to a couple of places. The unit was perfectly in order and we had a great time there.

  • Thais' apartment is spacious and clean as shown in the picture. Thais is very friendly and helpful. She even gave us recommendations to her favorite restaurants and other basic places like groceries, bus and train stations. The apartment is perfectly located, within walking distance to bus and train stations, Victoria Park, Broadway Sydney, Market City, Max Brenner Chocolate and many other interesting places. Will surely recommend this place. Thanks, Thais! :D

  • Thais was an exceptionally accommodating host and her apartment is as lovely and well appointed as it looks! Thais was extremely responsive and helpful in the lead-up to my arrival and was kind enough to have a loaf of bread and a few other supplies on hand for my arrival. Unfortunately, I had to cut my trip short because of a death in my family, and Thais couldn't have been more understanding or gracious about the situation.

  • Definitely recommend to stay. Great place and very nice host.

  • An attractive, clean, comfortable, safe place to stay, with everything you are likely to need on hand, and a welcoming, helpful, pleasant host.

  • I didn't get to meet Thais because our schedules conflicted, but I met her mum Lena who is precious! The whole stay was wonderful and Thais was very gracious to check and see if I needed anything during the course of my stay. Thank you for a wonderful visit and I hope to return again soon!

  • Probably the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. She even had two eggs and bread in the refrigerator for me. Pretty amazing host and great apartment

  • Thais is very friendly and easy to communicate with. She gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and you can't miss the White Rabbit gallery a few blocks away-- wonderful tip!

Good wifi, Miki (travel) cards and clear instructions/communication with Katherine. Every thing you need for a great visit to melbourne. Highly recommended

  • What a great find! This beautiful space was home for 2 nights, with a secure and safe feel, the best location in CBD, EVERY possible amenity you could need for a stay in Melbourne. I cant wait to recommend this place to friends and family, I feel like it was too good to be true! We stayed with 2 kiddies (8 and 4), using the fold out bed in lounge (linen supplied - high quality linen I will add) . The kids had everything they needed. Its a 2 minute walk to the Spring Street Store for gelato ! Magic Mountain Saloon Bar is a few minutes walk away and is the greatest find for breakfast early with kids, where a lot of places open later. Our hosts even allowed an early check in with our luggage, a great meet and greet and a simple departure process. 5 STARS all round!

  • This apartment is truly amazing that I can't wait to come back. The check-in was super easy, the location unbeatable right in the middle of all the restaurants and cafes, the apartment super cozy and modern with high quality amenities and attention to details (such as small fresh flowers in every room, french press in the kitchen), and communication with Katherine very friendly. Staying in this apartment made our Melbourne trip truly memorable. Thank you Katherine!!

  • We couldn't recommend this apartment enough. It felt like a home away from home. The apartment is well kept, clean, modern and comfortable with all the little extras. We stayed for the tennis and it was within walking distance and nice and close to some great restaurants and all the shopping in the CBD. We were provided with some fruit and bread which was great and lots of books/brochures about Melbourne. We had a great stay - thank you!

Katherine, who checked us in, went out of her way to accommodate us with an early check in and a late check out. She was super friendly and welcoming and provided us with a list of really cool bars and restaurants. Thank you for making out time in Melbs so memorable, you will definitely see us again.

This place is awesome! A 2 bedroom London style Mansion Block (or NYC style) apartment in the heart of Sydney, located in a quiet street moments from Oxford St, Hyde Park, CBD, Surry Hills & Kings Cross. Newly renovated & 100% beautiful.
Having lived in a couple of mansion blocks in central London, I was so surprised to find that style of accommodation right here in the heart of Sydney. Beyond trying to 'sell' how cool the space is, my honest opinion is that not only is this building truly beautiful, it must be (I think) a truly rare and fortunate find in central Sydney. Lucky me/you! :) The room itself is a double with queen bed. Built in mirrored wardrobes, super comfy bed, window into the shared light well for natural light, all new furniture. There are two bays in the wardrobe and I use one as a linen cupboard. There is stacks of room for your stuff in the other bay :) The bathroom is shared, with shower & bath, vanity, and loads of cupboard space for your personal care products. The living area combines kitchen, lounge and a cupboard laundry with washing machine and dryer. There is also a drying rack. The lounge includes a small Juliet balcony accessed through french doors and looks out onto lush deciduous trees (sadly they loose their leaves in winter).
This is my 5th residence in Sydney since moving here in 2012. Having lived in Pott's Point, Kings Cross, Wooloomooloo and Surry Hills, I can now say that Darlinghurst is my personal favourite location of all these, mostly becuase it's right in the middle of them. Surry is 5 minutes walk, KX and Pott's is 7. And you are in fabulous darlo already ;) Bondi is a 30 minute cycle or bus ride away, and in summer I go most weekends to Tamarama, a smaller beach next to Bondi that I really enjoy. If you like the gym, I recommend Fitness First or City Gym, 5 minutes away. The infamous Oxford St is also 5 minutes away for nightlife, Kings Cross, CBD, Circular Quay, Hyde Park, The Domain and Botanical Gardens, Sydney Opera House, all in super close proximity. This is a great spot for visitors and to live too. Check out Time Out Sydney and Urban Walkabout Sydney for details on all these great neighbourhoods. Just do a web search. The site won't let me give you the links directly.
  • Staying at Reid's place was amazing. The space itself was perfect; the bed was comfy and the apartment provided everything you could possibly need. Everything was in very close proximity, including shops and public transport. Reid was incredibly helpful and friendly, and was happy to have a conversation or leave you to your own devices. Overall a perfect experience, I'd love to stay at Reid's unique space again if I'm ever in Sydney!

    Amber2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Reid, it was a pleasure staying with you, thank you very much for your hospitality! Your apartment is in a perfect spot making it an ideal place for exploring Sydney. Kind regards, Edwin

  • Reid's house is so beautiful and nice. He stocked tea and coffee for me, and He let me use his fridge too. If I come again, I would stay at his place. Thank you so much ;)

    Akiko2016-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment I first contacted Reid, to the moment I checked out, it was truly superb. The space is a reflection of the man; well positioned, brilliantly clean, keenly elegant and just downright welcoming! So much thought and care has gone into every aspect and this is evidenced throughout. The only unfortunate part of my stay was that I had such as busy schedule as this precluded me from spending more quality time with both the man and the apartment ;) Absolute 5 star rating!!

    Paul2016-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • I just had a great stay at Reid's place, which so perfectly located to a very nice neighbourghood of Sydney, very walkable and close to public transport. Room was good and bed fantastic to have a great sleep! :)

  • Dean and Bron were generous and exceptional hosts who were amazing throughout our stay. We loved their house and their cute dogs and cats... The room was spacious and very comfortable with beautiful artwork to enjoy. Bron's luxury candles were a delight. Location was perfect and within walking distance to many of the best restaurants and cafes in Sydney. Hardest part was definitely leaving... A big thank you from us...we had a wonderful trip. Hope you get better soon Bron and come visit sometime!

    Aaron2014-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our best experience in Sydney- warmly recommended. Dean and Bron were very welcoming and the house was impeccable with great attention even to small details (candles lit in our room upon our arrival). We had an enjoyable aperitivo together with Dean and Bron and received great suggestions on what to do in the neighborhood and in Sydney.

  • Thanks for a really lovely stay and accommodating for things last minute. Would have definitely liked to hang around a bit more had I been in sydney for longer. Everything was great - the hospitality, the room, the house, the amenities, the location. Cannot be faulted really - wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

    Viola2014-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful home and excellent location. Easy to find and make our way around Sydney. Bron was a super host and made us feel at home.

    Aimee2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Bron was an excellent host! Fantastic advice on local cuisine and a pleasure to chat with. The accomodation was beautifully presented and in a great spot. Easy access from the airport and right amongst the cool bars and restaurants of Surry hills. Will stay again.

  • The experience of living in Bron's House is unforgettable. We spent the Christmas morning together. Bron and her family are really nice. Her son helped us to carry luggages upstairs. Bron considered almost everything and did many extra things for us. She makes candles and planting flowers. I really like her taste of decoration and fragrance. The house always has a comfortable smell. The cats in the house are quiet cute. The location is good. With walkable distance to many restaurants, city centre and train station. Around 7 minutes walk to the big supermarket, 3 minutes to the bus station. It is a really pleasant stay in Bron's house, not only as host and guest, but also like friends.

    Yiwei2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The room was just lovely. Large bed, large room, little balcony and access to my own bathroom. Perfect! Even though my visit was short, Bron was such a sweet and warm person. 10 min walk to Central but it is in Surrey Hills so there is a hill to climb.

  • My stay with Mel was perfect! There is seriously not one thing I could fault- the place is clean, comfortable, stunningly decorated but still feels like home! Mel is lovely and such a good host and her dog Harry is a sweetie! I would highly recommend staying with Mel!

    Emma2013-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Mel went over and above to make me feel welcome and help me transition to Sydney from Melbourne. Her home is extremely comfortable, fresh and beautifully adorned with artwork and fresh flowers. Mel's work keeps her quite busy, but during those in-between-times she is up for a chat and is genuinely interested in getting to know you. I can't recommend Mel and her amazing home highly enough!

    scout2014-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed and Mel's place for a few days, and I really liked it. It's conveniently located on a quiet street, in a walking distance from the Redfern train station and there are a few nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The room is very spacious, clean and comes with all sorts of useful things such as an umbrella and custom made guides about Sydney and neighbourhood. Mel was very kind and easy to talk to. In general very good experience - would definitely stay here again.

    Piotr2016-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a good time at Mel's home. She was always very helpful. The dog of her, Harry, was also cute! The house was such nice with great arts, a terrace and a comfortable living room. I had everything that I needed in my room and the bed was very comfortable, too. In addition it's just a few minutes with the bus to the Hyde Park (to the city). There is a supermarket (5 minutes away), a park and a swimming pool in the neighbourhood. So the location is absolutely perfect!

    Rahel2014-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Mel's place is easy to get to. The bed is comfy, the dog is friendly and the local eats are close by. Mel is a great host very warm and helpful

    Sally2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mel and Harry (her dog) were fantastic hosts! Beautiful home in a lovely area. I had ordered some food in and Mel invited me to sit at her dinner table with her and her friend to eat and chat. Being a solo traveller I really enjoyed the lovely company in addition to the clean, bright room. Would 100% recommend you book Mel's place if you're in Sydney.

    Daniella2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Mel was an excellent host. Her beautiful, modern, light, and airy home is well-situated and spotlessly clean. The room was picture-perfect and stocked with extra linen, a heater, and even an eye mask. Mel's attention to detail and generosity made my stay a delight. Next time I will definitely try to stay longer!

    Nicholas2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality from the host. On my arrival, she was on her overseas trip. She ask her niece to help me with all the stuff. And I personally scare of dogs since young, she patiently tell me how to handle her dog. Nice & patient host. Her place is clean with WiFi. Also near town area. Recommended stay!

  • Our host June's stylish apartment is a great 2-bedroom, 2-bath space for friends or families traveling together. The roof deck views and plunge pool are AMAZING and a highlight of our comfortable stay. Check-in was super easy and June is a communicative and responsive host. The apartment was clean and the building was quiet. We enjoyed cooking breakfast in the apartment and the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)-worthy coffee cafe found just next to the building's main door. We'd definitely stay here again when visiting Melbourne!

My 34 sqm studio is quietly tucked away yet in the middle of everything. There are a gazillion cafes/bars/supermarkets right downstairs and weekend markets across the road. A pleasant walk by the water takes you to the art gallery, botanic gardens and opera house.
The apartment is on the border between the red-light district (home to some hard characters, weekend party-goers and backpackers) and the gentrified part of the neighbourhood (the 'Paris end' of Potts Point). The 1937 building, originally nurses quarters, definitely needs a facelift but retains its period charm. My flat is renovated so feels fresh. The bathroom has been brightly painted since the photos but the shower temperature is tricky to get right so I often took baths living there, and the bath is nice and deep. Nestled between other apartments overlooking the high street and rear laneway, my flat is on the first floor and faces into a lightwell. This means there is no grand vista but also no street noise, and it's temperate with plenty of natural light. It feels spacious for a studio as the bathroom, kitchen, walk-in wardrobe and bed nook are separate from the central living area. It has a very comfortable double bed and a good fold-out single bed. Below are a patisserie and Thai take-away so kitchen sounds and smells can waft up (I've never found this too intrusive but some guests have mentioned it, see reviews). The most frequent positive feedback I get from guests is around the apartment's decoration/style and location.
I love the harbour-side walk to the Andrew Boy Charlton swimming pool, across the water from the strangely beautiful naval base. The Saturday food markets have a great vibe (I recommend The Butchers Table stall sandwiches and the Vietnamese salads and pho) and the patisserie right next door does amazing chocolate mousse cake and croissants. If you exit the back door of the building you open it onto a tiny hole-in-the-wall cafe called Room 10 which does excellent, and marvellously convenient, coffee. Bourke Street Bakery has underground seating which is warm in winter and cool in summer. The walk to Beare Park on the water takes you through residential streets with nice art deco architecture and past the historic Elizabeth Bay House, which itself has a lovely public garden across the road - both good spots for a picnic. Rushcutter's Bay is a more expansive park, good for jogging, frizbee, playgrounds etc. For brekky I go to a cafe behind my building called Petrol (terrible name, slow service, excellent food!) There is a lot of nightlife in the area - the gay clubbing precinct is nearby, tawdry Kings Cross is in full swing on weekend nights and there are some more sophisticated small bars in Potts Point and on Victoria Street. Close to Sydney's major attractions, the area is full of hotels & hostels, a tourist information booth and places to hire travelling vans, book outback adventures etc. There's an airport shuttle bus which loops around the streets every half hour and the hop-on hop-off city tour bus stops outside my building.
  • Stayed at Ariana's place for 5 nights. It has been a wonderful experience. The place is clean and cozy for the three of us, just like the pictures. Even though It's located in a red-light district, but that didn't bother us at all ; we just ignored it. The location is still fantastic as it's around 3 minutes walk to King Cross's station and there's cafes and supermarkets all around the place which were within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Ariana also has a pretty good guide which was detailed and useful! Will recommend to my friends if they were going to Sydney next time :)

    Clinton2015-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great couple of days at Arianna's studio apartment. The studio was as described & depicted. It was even more central than I had thought, being only a stones throw from 'the Fountain'. Arianna's was available, easy to communicate with, friendly & helpful. She also has some great info & local tips in the 'house book'. Thanks for a great inner city experience.

    Susanna2014-10-31T00:00:00Z

  • Ariana has a gorgeous apartment, and we loved staying here! The apartment itself though small - is clean, classic and charming - and is in such an excellent location. Also, I am so glad we got to meet with Ariana and her daughter on two occasions to have a chat - she is very smiley and helpful; thank you again for letting us stay, I will most certainly be recommending this accommodation, and would stay here again next time I am in Sydney.

  • We had a great time staying in this gorgeous apartment-location is great and Ariana was easily contactable and hospitable throughout our stay. As our first experience with airbnb it was everything and more that we hoped for. We will be recommending Arianna to others!

    Laura2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for a week at Arianas place. Its cozy neat and centrally located. Great host. No hitches, every arrangement was text book style. Lovely kitchen it has basic utensils for small cooking.

    Anand2016-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Was a wonderful place! A little hard to find at first, but was a great location. Very easy to walk everywhere and great options all around the front door. Felt very safe staying there and it was plenty of room for 2 people. Ariana was very accommodating and quick to answer any and all queries. We had a small issue with the toilet the first day and she answered us immediately, had it fixed the next day, and bought us ice cream for our trouble :) she is very sweet and professional and I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to a friend!

"After staying in many Air BnB's around the world, we have to say this was one of the best for value, safety, location and ease. Highly recommended." (A recent guest) We are very proud of our apartment which we have attempted to create with much love and caring. It is constantly well reviewed ... (out of 132 guests we have received 5 / 5 star ratings 83% of the time and are super hosts) so why don't you be the judge xx
Located in an iconic Art Deco building in the heart of Darlinghurst, this one bedroom apartment offers all the luxuries. Recently refurbished and decorated it has everything you require including amazing views to the city skyline. It is within a security block and has a luxuriously appointed queen sized bed, large ensuite bathroom, well stocked kitchen i.e. upright oven and hotplates, microwave, fridge and fully appointed kitchen appliances – (ps I love to cook…and I need the right implements)...Important essentials that will ensure that you will not starve when you first arrive ….dining room table and chairs, lounge, coffee table, book collection and television (with DVD player) and music system. The apartment has unlimited Wifi because we know that you need that – just like we do. Views apparent from every window including views of the opera house and the Harbour Bridge (even from the toilet– no less) Although we are very proud of our unit and the way it presents, the jewel in the crown of this apartment occurs on the upper common rooftop deck area where there are gas operated barbeques and tables and chairs, a newly renovated pool and surrounding gardens and coin operated washing machines and dryers. All of this in a setting which has breathtaking views of the harbour bridge, the opera house and all that Sydney has to offer.
Darlinghurst is the hub of the city. It's an amazing little inner city village full of gorgeous restaurants and cute coffee places and wine bars but the best part is that it's close to everything! Darlinghurst is edgy – but we LOVE that edge because it means interesting and different. You can literally walk anywhere you want in the city within about 25 minutes. The Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Surry Hills, Elizabeth Bay, Potts Point, Paddington, CBD are all within easy walking reach and take a short bus trip to the beautiful Bondi Beach.
  • Sharon and Mal had the perfect apartment for our stay. It was clean light and airy and much more spacious than we expected. The facilities in the flat were brilliant and they had thought of everything from shower gel to suncream tea's, coffees and even a mini bottle if bubbly! The roof top pool area was amazing. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed relaxed mornings and evenings up there. The location of the apt was also perfect for us we strolled into the city from there and the bars and restaurants in the area were brilliant too. Xxx

  • Can’t speak highly enough of this place! It’s exactly as described in the listing and photos, so clean, chic and super cosy. Very ‘Sex and the City’! Bubbly on arrival which we enjoyed up at the rooftop with amazing views was a much appreciated treat after a long day at work & flight! The location is fabulous, less than a 5 minute walk to the station, 20 minutes to Darling harbour and plenty of funky restaurants and coffee shops at your doorstep. Beautiful views from every window of the bridge and opera house. Sharon & Mal were so welcoming and felt like our step in parents, so sweet! Will definitely stay here again! Thanks guys xx

  • We had a great experience at The Darlings. Location superb for dining, walking, shopping, and easy access to public transport. The apartment was exactly as described, with everything you need if you eat in (including some food left for us). Although we didn't meet Sharon or Mal, access was easy and communication was open. The shop at the entrance to the building is owned by two very helpful and friendly people.

    Gary2015-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We were delighted with this apartment. It was exactly as listed and the well stocked kitchen was a bonus. Sharon and Mal were welcoming and helpful. We will definitely want to use this apartment again.

    NewCynthia2015-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon and Mal's apartment is superb, very well equipped and conveniently located close to Kings Cross metro station. I enjoyed the neighborhood as well: there is an organic food shop and a large supermarket nearby, and a street with nice cafés just in front. Sharon and Mal also gave me a very warm welcome and many useful Sydney tips. In short: highly recommended !

    Ismael2014-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • My In-Laws stayed. They couldn't speak highly enough about the place. They loved the experience from arrival to departure. My experience dealing with Sharon and Mal during the booking process was brilliant as well.

  • Awesome first experience with Air Bnb. Great location, clean with lots of thoughtful extras. Highly recommend.

    Gabriel2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon and Mal are wonderful hosts, genuine, timely and kind. The apartment is clean and above an arts store that is a must-see. This place is great for people who enjoy the night life, now and then.

Decidedly cool. Chill out in this bright & beautiful Darlinghurst Studio, right in the heart of the best of Victoria St cafe's, back street art galleries, theatres plus chic eateries on Stanley St. Live in Art Deco history with best view in town!
Decidedly cool. Chill out in this bright & beautiful Darlinghurst Studio, right in the heart of the best of Victoria St cafe's, back street art galleries, theatres plus chic eateries on Stanley St. Live in Art Deco history with best view in town! NEWLY RETILED BATHROOM AND ENTIRE STUDIO PAINTED :-) Entire home, not shared. Last minute bookings cannot be accepted after 4pm same day and we also need 2hrs notice to organise cleaners. This top floor apartment (5th floor, accessible via lift or stairs) with very high ceilings and 1920s heritage art deco features is a space that is full of light all day long with an incredible vista day or night. Don't stay here if you don't love character with an oldy worldy Parisian loft feel as this studio is filled to the brim with character and charm for those who love original details. Included in the old world charm are old world building sounds like a distant clunking sound when the lift is operated. Older buildings were built so well and the thick walls mean no neighbour sounds, the culdesac street means no traffic noises, but as mentioned the lift is heritage listed (as is the building) and sounds like the radiator of an Art Deco NYC building. Brilliant for a single or couple, sleeping maximum two people, on the chiropractic, comfortable queen bed. The kitchen is separate to the main living space, in a small galley way, with a full sized fridge, gas stove and oven (no microwave). No need to sleep in the kitchen in this studio! The kitchen and bathroom both have stunning original tiles with a huge beautiful deep bath, so if you're a bath person, you will be in heaven, enjoying the lovely cross breeze (no AC but none needed!) after a day of walking around the sites of Sydney. Darlinghurst is a destination for Sydney's best restaurants and bars, so you will hear the occasional passerby however this building is on a cul-de-sac, so is one of the quieter streets in the area, as there is no road traffic sound below. People are often surprised at how quiet such an inner city area can be, perhaps as we are on the top floor. Studio has free internet wifi and coin laundry facilities on the top floor. The roof top also has a fantastic view of the Harbour Bridge and Domain Park. Why pay hotel rates when you can have your own private home, equipped with everything you need for 2 people? Darlinghurst has colourful characters and is constantly evolving. Where better to stay than right in the heart of it all with the best restaurants that Sydney has to offer - not to mention the original Messina Icecream Shop! Please do not ask to view the property prior to booking. It is impossible as Airbnb does not allow us to exchange contact details until bookings are confirmed. Guests have free unlimited wifi, access to a small original Art Deco wardrobe, under bed storage perfect for suitcases, the three ottomans also have storage, use of bathroom and 80% of the kitchen. We reserve a cupboard and one trunk, these are the only areas that are locked. I am a super speedy responder and here to answer and assist with any questions at all. We like to know when guests have settled in, so that we know guests have their keys and all is as expected. We also keep this in our rental agreement as we need to know if anything is not working or broken upon arrival so we can fix and replace items. Sometimes it is just a matter of usage instructions and rather than guests tell us at the end of their stay that items weren't working we would prefer to know so that we can send instructions if there is any issue. This leafy inner city suburb offers stunning residential streetscape. A pocket of pulsating options, the streets come alive at night in this most convenient of locations in Sydney. Darlinghurst is a very safe inner city suburb. The closest train station, Kings Cross, is sometimes sketchy, but like all blue light areas, there is a high police patrol, so we feel very safe there. Darlinghurst is the next suburb and has a cafe and restaurant vibe, so it's very different to Kings Cross. Darlinghurst has all the best attractions and is walking distance to CBD, the harbour and Oxford Street shopping. There are many buses and trains all within a close walking distance from our studio. Our street has a 99% walking score! You can walk anywhere to Sydney's biggest attractions and just a bus to beaches such as Bondi Beach :-) Rates are seasonal and change throughout the year. NYE dates require minimum one week booking. To find the rates and date availability, please go to our home page and click your dates on the top right hand corner. This will also provide rates for dates selected. The studio does not have AC. Installing AC in this studio would be in vain as the studio does not need extra cooling. The studio is on the top floor and has a wonderful cross breeze that all have loved and enjoyed. It also faces east so only gets the morning sun, not the hot afternoon western sun, were it on the other side of the building it would be a different story. The studio has a large ceiling fan if extra cooling is required, but beyond the fan, AC is not needed at all.

  • In love. The original features of this studio are Art Deco superb; if you love originality and character, this is for you. I noticed someone wrote about the lift sound? Not sure why anyone would comment on that, it's barely audible, and I am particularly sensitive to such things. We loved the afternoon cross breeze and there's tonnes of light! The studio is also in a brilliant location, close to cafes and bars with walking distance to everything. We will be back!

  • We spent six days at Angeliques beautiful and bright studio and we can truly recommend it to any one looking for a perfectly located in Sydney's best area. We had a few problems around the booking, but Angelique solved it without trouble. We highly recommend staying at Angelique's place :)

  • Very cute studio in a fantastic location. Close to great coffee, art galleries, restaurants and the very best gelato (Messina on Victoria Street). Angelique was lovely and made it a perfect first time airbnb experience for me. Thanks!

  • What a lovely experience staying at the Sky Oasis in Darlinghurst hosted by Angelique. The place was exactly like the photos with daylight streaming in creating a homely atmosphere. We could stay in the house the whole day wishing we stayed forever. It was a clean modern home with the back drop of an old charming building.... Such sublime beauty, we will definitely be back! We did not manage to see Angelique but I do appreciate her checking up on us and prompt responses. Thanks Angelique, it was the perfect home for a perfect holiday!

  • We had a truly lovely stay at Darlinghurst studio, which was perfect for our four days in Sydney. We loved the central location, and the studio was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. Angelique was great to deal with, always friendly and prompt in all our communications.

    Lisa2015-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • The location of Sky Oasis is so perfect that even after living in Sydney for 10 years I felt like I was rediscovering it all over again. Everything you need is literally within a stone's throw of the studio. The heritage building is gorgeous and I'm so glad Angelique has maintained all the original fittings and tile work - it just adds to the experience. Angelique was a brilliant host - so responsive and helpful, I felt welcome even though I didn't have the pleasure of meeting her. I will certainly try to stay again when next in Sydney.

Historical apartment built since 1883 - former woolstore. Lots of character here with exposed ironbark columns and wooden floors. My apartment has discreet laneway access and is located very close to Darling Harbour. You’ll love my place for the location in Pyrmont, facilities including gym, pool, spa and sauna, building history and character. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
Closely located to Darling Harbour, The Powerhouse Museum, The Maritime Museum, Sydney Fish Markets, The Star Casino, Pirrama Park, Sydney City Centre, IMAX Cinema, Chinatown, UTS University, TAFE and a 10 minute walk to the CBD. The lightrail stop (Convention Centre) is located right outside the building with a short walk through the Harbourside Carpark and can link you directly to Central Train Station. A short 10 minute walk to the ferry can take you to Circular Quay.

  • Kiah's place is very convenient for anyone who comes for the exhibition at ICC, as you can just walk there within 5-10 mins. This place is located very close to Darling harbor, you can go to the shopping mall or supermarket within walking distance as well. In this place, you can access to swimming pool, gym, sauna and spa which is in front of elevator on the first floor. Kiah is also nice, we can communicate with her all the time and she provided us with welcome chocolate and wine. If you would like to come to ICC or Darling Harbour, I would recommend Kiah's place definitely.

  • This house is in a convenient location, surrounded by awesome restaurants and bars, and had an easy check in. It has updated appliances and is overall very pleasant aesthetically. A few downsides dominated though: there were privacy screens outside the door on the front grate that kind of blocked the light, but there was no door to the bedroom so the light still shone strongly when you were trying to sleep; there was no AC unit so you had to keep the front door and bedroom window open to get a breeze, and there were loud drunk people walking by late at night right in front of the house; it was not near a transit station; and the front door and grate were fire hazards, as they both locked from the inside with a key. Overall it was fine for 2 nights, but I would not pick it again.

  • Another fantastic experience! Location, service and hospitality - perfect.

    Georgie2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely neighborhood, close to great restaurants, coffee shop and bakery. Very central location and peaceful environment. We had great sleeps which was essential as we ran the Sydney marathon. Highly recommended

  • You get exactly what you see in the pictures. Great friendly hosts whom are available to answer to any of your queries. It's practically a home with all the amenities and facilities provided. A quiet residential place away from the bustling city. Love to come back soon!

  • Tash's place is a class unit in a trendy spot. Easy to find if you drive to Sydney being just off the M1 and then close to the buses.A range of eating options handy or if you wish to eat in fully equiped and close to supermarkets. Tasha has thje knack of making guests feel very welcome.

    Vincent2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment. Everything you could ask for within it! Tash was a great host offering help where required and communicated very well. It's situated in a lovely area, just 20 mins ($30) taxi ride from the airport and 20 min walk to Central Station. It was extremely clean and modern, and suited our needs perfectly. Noise could be heard upstairs at times, but it was never an inconvenience or for excessive amounts of time. There's not many places so close to a city that will be silent. Thank you so much for a pleasant stay, we recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a very reasonably priced place to stay!

    Nathan2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic! We just arrived from the UK and Tash'a apartment was exactly what we needed to settle in after a long journey. The apartment had everything we could possibly need and communication with Tash made checking in and out really easy. The location was brilliant and in such a fantastic area and was only a short walk to central station too so all of Sydney is on your door stop. A super place to stay.

    Matthew2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best Airbnb I've stayed in and, as an Airbnb employee, I've stayed in a lot. From Tash's communication, to the facilities, to the location and fresh flowers adorning the room, there is absolutely nothing I can suggest for improvement and certainly nothing I can fault. Thank you Tash!

  • A hidden sanctuary and a great place to stay. A well decorated a cosy apartment Central to the city you can plan a walk starting from Hyde Park. Peter is a great host and always replied back with any questions and would recommend this place for a group to stay.

    Viggaenesh2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay! Not only was Peter ahhmazzzzing to deal with leading up to our stay, but he opened his lovely home to us and met/exceeded all expectations. Besides being stylish, chic and totally cute, the apartment was super duper clean, had the best of everything, comfortable (couch & beds were so comfy!), quiet, safe, well located and felt like HOME. Steps from the bus, grocery store, post office, fun bars, delish restaurants, Hyde Park and more. If you're a runner you can enjoy a 30 min run to the Opera House! Peter had everything organized in the apartment - everything you'd need in the kitchen/laundry, tourist info/maps, etc. Peter had snacks and things waiting for us which is a terrific help when just off a long haul flight! My parents who joined me are older so it was terrific that the home was quiet and had easy access to everything. And, Peter made sure to check in to see all was ok....cause he rocks. Definitely have told all our peeps about this great apartment and will stay here again next time we visit Sydney! Thanks Peter!

    Kylie2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Funky apartment in the middle of all the action! Loved all the interiors and the styling, nice clean place to call home. Walking distance to some great places, wonderful area to stay in.

    Kimberli2016-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were a family of 4 and absolutely loved Peter's home. He was kind enough to think of everything that we would need to make our stay comfortable and needless to say it was excellent. My mom was very pleased with the whole set up especially the kitchen arrangements and providing us with basic necessities. The location is excellent, train station and lots of restaurants around. Will definitely recommend!

    Litty2015-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic! It is great to stay in Peter's house as first try of Airbnb. The decoration is unique and modern. Kitchen, bathroom, and Laundry equipment are in good condition and useful. The weather we arrived Sydney is very awful, thus we do spend a great time in Peter's house and enjoy the convenience of it. The location nears Victoria shopping mall and Hyde park, and is within the walking distance to Sydney Opera House. Peter welcomed us in the house and always has quick response to our questions. Will choose the house next time coming to Sydney.

Wool-loo-moo-loo is a beautiful area in the heart of Sydney. Whether you are looking for peace, parties, or polenta, you'll be able to find it in a short walk. Favourite areas include the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain around the corner, and the quiet old neighbourhood close to Woolloomooloo Wharf. The major museums, art galleries and theatres are also all close by. For the coffee addicts, we are surrounded by the best.
  • Julian and Andre was very kind, and gave me an information thoroughly whenever I needed whatever I needed. with the good cares, kind messages asking if my stay was alright. Rooms clean and has full (Literally full) amenities. Hair dryer, Iron, Iron stand, Electric Fan(You will love it: Dyson "high tech" one) Tissue, Towel, and toiletry. and the pics are exactly same. plenty of hangers etc. and the piano was my favorite part even though I didn't have much time to stay home and play. I appreciate all the care and letting me stay at their place! it was enjoyable.

    Eric Wonkoun2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • My only regret was that I didn't book for longer! Andre was the perfect host, he made me feel very welcome to Sydney. The place was immaculate and very homely. It is in the perfect spot, very close to the city and shops. The internet was fast, the room was spacious, the kitchen had everything you might need and it was very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again! A very big thanks to Andre for making my stay so enjoyable.

    Michelle2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Andre & Julian weren't around when I checked in. Nevertheless, instructions were clear on how to get around the area, and how to access the rooms. The place was beautiful, fantastic and exactly as advertised. Best of all, though the couple weren't around, they've constantly checked-in on me via texts to make sure all was good. Pity we couldn't get to meet, but I'll see you around if I go back to Sydney again! Thank you Andre and Julian!

    Weiliang2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very clean and comfortable. Andre and Julian were so kind.

    asuka2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This room (the balcony room) was great for my month-long stay. The room is wonderful because the big curtains allow for complete darkness at night - but their proximity to the bed allows for a sleepy pull back in the morning revealing gorgeous light and the pretty backyard tree. The location is wonderful too. I never tired of my short (12 minute) walk to the train station - the walk passes a beautiful BIG church and park that was just really nice to see each day. Last, the daily cleaning was unexpected and highly appreciated. Always a perfectly clean house and friendly cleaning staff. Overall, I would highly recommend this home to any Sydney traveler.

    Jill2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay in the Balcony Room at the Fig Tree House. The location was perfect (on a quite street but within walking distance to the CBD and the neighborhoods of Darlinghurst, Surry Hills, and Kings Cross). The room was very comfortable and clean, and Andre and Julian were welcoming hosts. I particularly appreciated their tip to check out the Bangarra dance performance on a Friday night. All in all, this is a nice place to stay in Sydney.

    Angelo2015-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Julian and Andrew have a beautiful apartment in a great central location. Highly recommended!

  • This was a great stay. We were made very welcome, there were lots of breakfast goodies left for us, plus fruit and even some sherry! The place is very comfortable with a big couch and TV and the bed was lovely. It is out of the way, but perfect for us as we were visiting in the area. We would be happy to stay here again.

Leichhardt is definitely a safe area and accessible to shops and also to going to the city. I'm looking forward to be back there again soon, hopefully during summer :)

    Mia2015-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Gary's cottage is a real gem! It is clean, super cosy and has everything you need. They make you feel like hotel guests with all the towels, teas, snacks and even some tawny! Great little book with instructions for getting around and Norton St is only a 10-15min stroll away. Communication was easy and fast, Julie gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat. I'm glad we got to meet Julie and Gary when we left- they are really lovely in person. We would happily return!

  • Bronwyn, Michael and even Chai (dog) made me feel truly at home and part of the family during my stay. Their apartment is beautifully designed and I love relaxing there after work. I'm also glad I met such kind and warm people who helped me get settled in Melbourne. You won't get the same experience staying in a hotel. I would highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back!

    KIM2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely warm, generous home and host to be introduced to! We had a fabulous time sinking into the energy of the city with easy access to work and play. Bronwyn was a perfect host, offering support and engagement whilst also being flexible with our sporadic times of coming and going. I recommend this as a welcome, calm space to come home to after a full day of hard work or a night of food and fun - of which there is plenty to share in this grand city!

    Scotia2015-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Bronwyn is an amazing and helpful host! The location is very near to federation square and it's convenient. Bronwyn gives us a lot of information about where to go and where to eat! The room is comfortable and living area is cozy. Chai Chai is a lovely doggy and very friendly. This is my best airbnb experience!

    JO2016-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect location, central for all that Melbourne has to offer. Bronwyn's home is exactly as shown, with a comfortable bedroom, good bathroom and the use of a sitting area. Bron was a great host who welcomed us into her home and shared lots of helpful information and some good conversation. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

    Susan2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay with Bronwyn in her stylish and modern apartment. Bronwyn was very friendly and welcoming, and helpful with info about things to do around Melbourne. The room is clean and spacious with enough privacy from the rest of the apartment, and a beautifully industrial style ensuite bathroom. The location definitely ideal if you want to be right in heart of the city, and being part of what it has to offer.

    Hannah2016-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Bronwyn is a heart warming host. Before two days I started my journey, she sent me a message describing the details how to get to her place. But when I arrived in Melbourne I still got lost. It was 9.30pm, she went out of her house and met me and my wife in a street, then lead us to her place. After we settle down, she made the tea for both of us. We felt like we come back to our family home not a hotel. The room we stayed has a very high ceiling making the room very specially. Although we live with Bronwyn, but we still have our own bath room. There is a door to separate our living area and her area, it made us a very privacy room. She provided us very fine bathroom products. Shampoo, shower gel, hand wash and towel, etc, are the best quality. In the morning, she provided us breakfast with coffee, break with variety of jam and cereal. We liked the bread toasted with strawberry jam! We stayed in Melbourne for two nights. I'd like to say we have a best experience for our accommodation. It is not living in a hotel, it is like you come back home!

    jiming2015-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Bronwyn is a wonderful hostess and her place is amazing!! We'd have given it 6 stars for value if we were allowed. It's located right in the heart of Melbourne with so many of Melbourne's tourist sights within walking distance or a free tram ride away. Unexpected delights were the breakfast laid out for us each day (I can see it in the listing now that I know to look), the welcome from Chai her dog after each day out and Bronwyn's advice on things on and places to eat (even though we already knew our way round Melbourne well).

  • Melanie's lovely apartment is a great place to base yourself for a Sydney trip. Very close to public transport and a supermarket. Yummy food options nearby too! It was a home away from home.

    Tatiana2014-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Communication from Melanie was excellent. From the moment we booked and after we arrived, communication was always easy. Unfortunately due to flight delays we didn't get a chance to meet personally, but access was simple and directions easy. The apartment is only around 100m from Kings cross railway station and easy to get to the airport with one change. The apartment was on the first floor and spotless, and exactly as described. Good facilities some basic essentials in the fridge and cupboard to welcome us on arrival. Having access to a washing machine and dryer was very handy! People told me Kings Cross was an odd choice of area, but the apartment was in a great location on William street with 15 minute walk into the city (The people that commented haven't been there for a while clearly). It is a city location and therefore you will get noises associated with that, but nothing too intrusive. At the time of writing it was about a $10AUD (max) taxi ride from Circle Quay. The area felt very safe, and there's a Coles supermarket directly opposite and a good choice of car rentals close by. Great bars, coffee shops and good restaurants are all within easy reach, so exploring is recommended. If you want some guidance, Melanie was great at giving us a few ideas(URL HIDDEN)

    JAMES2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie's instructions on how to get to and in to the apartment were clear and easy to follow - such a great idea for accessing the keys! The apartment itself is well appointed with everything you need and a cute little balcony too. It's centrally located in Potts point - just round the corner from the train station and close to bars/restaurants so expect general city noise. It is a good walk into the main city and the tourist sites - about 30 minutes depending on how fast you walk! A taxi to the opera house costs about $30. We had a great stay and loved our time in Sydney.

    Caroline2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie was very friendly and helpful. Arrival and departure really easy with Melanie available at my scheduled times. Apartment is in a fantastic position, with station just 2 minutes away, surrounded by great food, drink, supermarket and services. Very comfortable room and bed with all the mod cons. Highly recommended for short or long stays. :)

  • Mel's beautifully appointed place was the perfect blend of tranquil retreat and still so so close to everything amazing in nightlife, cafes etc. We loved cafe 169 across the road and eau de vin on darlinghurst. Mel is the perfect host, she was easy to contact and responded very quickly. Informative and friendly and very easy to talk to. Thanks Mel for an excellent stay and we will be in contact to stay again soon.
