Excellent host. Accommodations were comfortable for everyday living. Great location for staying local to shopping, banks, restaurant, and beach. A favorite host with a high regard to their customers.

My family and friends travelled to Sri Lanka and stayed at Charitha’s beautiful home as the last leg of our tour. The intention was to celebrate New Year in style locally and also relax for a few days by a pool on the beach. Reef House met all our expectations. The staff were extremely helpful but also remained unseen, massage on the beach, pool days, Tuktuks ready when needed. The accommodation was perfect for 6 guests and the ambiance was perfect. We will be back.

Beautiful house and garden. We felt totally at home, and so well looked after. There is a caretaker who lives in a house on the grounds so you have the peace of mind that there is someone there should you need anything and he keeps the place secure. We also had a team come every morning at whatever time we wanted to make us the most amazing breakfast- pancakes, waffles, fruit, roti, dahl, eggs, tea etc. It was a 10 min walk to the shops and beach and easy to grab a tuk tuk back when we wanted. Air con was great. Pool was beautiful. Monkeys and peacocks entertained us in the morning. Can’t fault the place.

Remote villa on the beach with very welcoming and attentive staff, would highly recommend visiting when on the south coast in SL, we even got to see green sea turtles laying eggs right in front of the villa at night! Very memorable experience.

We had an amazing stay at Casa komune, the house was so modern and comfortable. The beds where great. Loved that the house was coole. Every room has his own shower and toilet so that gave us a lot of privacy. The outdoor area was of great use, we played a lot of games at the table. We really loved the house.

We're so happy to have found this place! For us, it ticked all the boxes & exceeded expectations. The house itself is lovely, beautifully decorated and with everything you need for a relaxing time. The board games were a hit, as well as the pool, table tennis & body boards. After being on the road for 10 days I appreciated the washing machine! It's located in a very local, quiet area which we loved so even the week before Christmas, there was barely a tourist around, just friendly, smiling locals. The stunning beach is literally a minute's walk down the path & was pretty much empty during our stay. At this time of year it's super safe for the kids, and we all enjoyed body boarding together. The surf spots, shops, buzzy restaurants and cafes are a short 15 min tuk tuk ride away, but great breakfasts, lunches and dinners are available at the Halcyon Mawella and Taru Villas who were both so friendly and accommodating. Will was a fantastic host, checking in on us over message, thank you!

I’ve traveled using Airbnb for years and this was hands down the best experience to date. The villa itself is stunning and as others have mentioned even better in person. The location was perfect; adjacent to beach and walking distance/ quick tuktuk to many desirable spots in the area. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well fed and very comfortable. They arranged the most incredible meals, laundry and transportation around Sri Lanka. Cannot recommend enough and can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay at the Palm Lanka. Beautifully designed & decorated house, well located near beach & cafes. Suresh and Manel were the highlight, making us feel so welcome & comfortable. The meals - breakfasts & dinners - were amongst the best we have had in Sri Lanka & Suresh was extremely helpful with any requests we made. Highly recommend!

The house is nicely built and decorated, the pool is beautiful and perfect for the kids. The location is great, just a few steps from the beach. The best thing of the house is the service and the food

We absolutely loved our stay at Shaka Villa! The villa itself is gorgeous and the kids loved the pool. The mattresses & linen were comfortable. The location was great - walking distance from Hiriketiya Beach & the best restaurants. Co-Host Donna had the best recommendations for places to eat at & things to do. She also ensured we had everything we needed and was very responsive throughout our stay. The staff at the villa were warm & helpful. While Gayan & Hiruni cooked us delicious breakfast (Sri Lankan & English breakfast) , Dimuthu & Hashini kept the villa spotless. We hope to be back soon :)

Everything with The Lookout was FANTASTIC! Incredible villa, location and most importantly the staff. It’s like having your own five star hotel with full staff and amenities. Nicola was a wonderful and incredibly responsive host. She went way above and beyond to help us a few times during our stay. She’s the most considerate Airbnb host we have ever stayed with. The one thing which I don’t think the description does a good job explaining is how high the standard of service is. There’s a housekeeper, butler and chef at your disposal for the entirety of your stay. The chef prepares amazing food and Sam (the butler) is as good of a server I’ve seen outside of New York, London or Paris. Overall just a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

The most beautiful Place I have ever been. Elegant, quiet, super amazing staff (they organize whetever you want, with a smile). I hope to come back here as soon as I can.

We enjoyed staying at Villa Weligama for the absolutely stunning views, watching the sea and the sunset, swimming in the pristine pool, enjoying peacocks and lizards walking across the lawn, seeing monkeys in the trees, and Bella the friendly dog. The villa itself is tired and could do with some maintenance. The staff are friendly and attentive. We hadn’t realised there would be nothing there on arrival, but Kumar can organise basic groceries and Kamal the chef will make meals. We enjoyed the fresh fruit and juice at breakfast, the sambol and the omelette the most. It would be good to have an updated menu with pricing for transparency. It is possible to swim below the house, but better swimming beaches are Jungle Beach 500m away or the beaches at Weligama itself. There were lots of surfers in the sea outside the villa.

The villa has a great location directly on the beach. It’s nicely furnished, spacious and airy. We loved the big couch facing the beach. Nice big rooms with views. The pool is big and the surroundings (sun-beds, garden, view etc.) is very nice and well kept. In the morning there were clean beach towels at the pool. Good air conditioning in the rooms. The ocean in front of the villa was rough, not recommended for swimming, unless you’re a good swimmer. But the beach was nice for playing, walks and in the morning the fishermen took their nets up by hand, right in front of the villa. Often we were the only persons on the beach… The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay in this villa.

Wow!! From the time of arrival we fell in love immediately with the villa, the setting, and the excellent hospitality from the villa staff. We were celebrating a special occasion during our stay, and are so pleased we chose Abiman Villa to spend it, we were so well looked after and it made our stay and the memories even more special. Jerome helped with anything we needed, the villa staff are flawless in their work, so kind and accommodating, the chef cooked the most incredible meals, and there is direct access to a stunning beach. On the first night we watched a sea turtle laying her eggs in the sand, and the magic of the villa gardens, the beautiful home and sound of the crashing waves from the ocean continued to wow us throughout our entire stay. We can’t speak highly enough of Villa Abiman - we’d recommend to everyone, and can’t wait to return soon! Thank you Jonas, Louise, Jerome and all of the team! Our special memories of Sri Lanka from this trip will live in our hearts forever ♥

An incredible place that really feels like your own personal paradise. With fantastic staff and five star accommodation we really felt lucky throughout our entire stay. The pictures are great but really when you first arrive at the villa you’ll get a sense of how much more there is to offer in person from Kumara Villa. It’s a great location that’s only a short walk or drive to the beach and set back far enough so you can swim in the pool or relaxin in the gardens surrounded by the sounds of wildlife and nature. We would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Weligama and would love to return one day soon!

I would kind of like to keep this property as a secret as it’s amazing. The place itself is just simply in paradise. Right on the beach which is beautiful and totally private there is no one around at all. On top of that you have the beautiful pool which is kept amazingly clean. Every day the pool and garden are cleaned and tidied so everything is perfect. All 4 of the people who look after you are amazing, super friendly and can’t do enough for you. They give fantastic recommendations of local things to see and do and tharaka will take you anywhere is his Tuk Tuk. Pradeep is lovely and has an amazing g knowledge of the local area which he happily shares. One evening we had a bbq which was sooooo good everyone loved the food. We are quite fussy eaters (one vegan and two vegetarians) and the lovely chef remu catered for us with the most delicious food. The local town has amazing bars and restaurants too. Try mallika bar. Too. This house is a little slice of paradise.

The House is beautiful and Resa, the Host was the kindest Person. It was possible to have food delivered to the House which was delicious! We were very happy with everything!

We stayed at the Moochies house for a month and had such an incredible stay! Molly, Sahand, and the rest of the Moochies crew were incredible hosts. Of course, it’s Sri Lanka - things break and don’t always go as planned, but they were very responsive and attentive to all our needs! For anyone who is more sensitive, there are lots of animals, bugs, and mosquitos around, but that’s Sri Lanka. The location is great. Right in the heart of Weligama, minutes from the beach. Moochies next door has incredible food and there’s no shortage of amazing food options within walking distance. We would scooter over a few minutes to the surfing schools nearby (Ama’s surf school was great!). You’re also only a 15 min scooter ride from Anhangama or Marissa if you’d like to explore another town. All in all, we had a great time and we would definitely be back!

We were so lucky to discover the Coconut Cottage as our first place to stay in Sri Lanka! Andy was an incredible host, booking us transfers from the airport, meeting us at the house on arrival, sharing a wealth of local knowledge and was super friendly and responsive during our stay. The house is only a two minute walk from the beach, cafes and restaurants of Hiri and very clean and stylish – and we all (family of four) loved the pool and back garden (and watching the monkeys swing around in the trees!). Thank you Andy and Sachira for a fab stay! Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Lanka Villa. Such friendly hospitality and a wonderful host. Spacious house with many rooms. Nice and quiet area but yet very close to everything.

Yellow House is very special! We stayed for two weeks with two young children and it was perfect for us. You are on the central South Coast so you can easy do day trips here and there. The house is right by the beach, with its own pool. The beach, in my opinion, is the one of the best on the south coast, because it is so natural and quiet, but has some local restaurants. The Yellow House is beautiful and we felt like we found ages house in Sri Lanka and really lucked out. For us the thing that made it the very best were the staff who work at the Yellow House. There is a local couple who come to help clean, or cook or chat :-) who are wonderful - full of lovely energy and kindness. There is the manager who helped us coordinate our trips and made everything run very smoothly. It has been our top stay at any Air B&B we have ever had. We highly recommend at least a week here to get the full experience of the house and the local area. It is excellent value for money too.
