We have restored an ancient bread oven on our little farm to make a cosy retreat in a quiet corner of the Dordogne. The kitchen and bathroom combine modern fittings with ancient beams and stonework while the comfortable sitting room features a log burning stove and the original paddle for the old bread oven, found when we started the renovation work. It is an ideal base for an active holiday (many options nearby)but the nightlife consists of sharing the stars with the owls and a bottle of wine.

In the heart of stunning medieval village, Quiet location but short walk to the butcher, restaurant and tabac/bar. 5 mins drive to Montignac and the Lascaux caves and beautiful villages of thé Dordogne valley. This farmhouse is located at the gates of Anjou. Winegrowers and village five minutes away. You can enjoy the Puy-du-Fou 55 minutes away, the Futuroscope is 1h20 away, the first castles of the Loire are 30 minutes away, the Doué-en-Anjou biopark is 20 minutes away, karting seven minutes away, Parc de la Vallée 10 minutes away, canoeing, cycling, hiking... You can go and collect eggs from the henhouse and feed the chickens. Our horses are close to the house. Pets allowed if well behaved!
