Our first time to Joshua Tree, and it did not disappoint! The Hideaway guesthouse was such a unique find. Super clean and comfortable. Loved the automatic roll-up door extending the living space out to the patio to enjoy the surrounding landscape and the magnificent cactus garden. The clerestory windows provided nice privacy, but let in so much wonderful light. We are not musicians but had a go at the drums and guitars...Good times for us but not sure if our Golden Retriever enjoyed our new found pastime... but she sure had a blast exploring the property. So nice to relax in the hammocks looking at a blanket of stars above us. Wish we had booked a longer stay to take full advantage of the property including that clean BBQ and Fire Pit area. Devon and Ryan were super responsive and lightning quick to accept our booking and answer our questions. This is a property that we will be sharing with our family and friends.

This is a lovely little cabin just 5 minutes from the center of Idyllwild. We spent a great week here working remotely — the internet connection was solid, and the kitchen table made a comfortable workspace. I loved being surrounded by windows while I worked (and even spotted some coyotes!). It’s a peaceful, quiet setting, perfect for anyone who appreciates simplicity and no wasted space — like me. The cabin is small but thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. That said, the bedroom, bathroom, and hallway could feel a bit tight for someone on the larger side. Michelle and Cate were wonderful hosts — super responsive when needed, but otherwise completely unobtrusive, even though their house is just a few yards away.

Everything about our stay was great. Jenn was an incredibly helpful host with recommendations around the area, very responsive and super friendly. We loved this place. The view from the major window was scenic. It was perfect for our plan to spend a day touring Joshua Tree NP. It was clean. Chairs were comfortable. There was plenty of room to move around. Everything worked as it should have. I’d say that you must have TV, this might not suit you since reception was not broad, but for us it was ideal. Kitchen area was small but had everything we needed. I highly recommend

How to begin…Jeff and Judy are amazing hosts from reservation to checkout. Great communications. The guesthouse and amenities are absolutely accurate. Pictures too. They think of the small things too - zucchini bread waiting in the frig, cold water in frig, Kureig capsules in a variety of coffees, teas and chai. I stayed 3 nights and ate in. Kitchenette plus BBQ grill, with supplies from nearby VONS, meant I could eat healthy without leaving the property. I didn’t want to leave! Pool and hot tub are crystal clear clean and inviting. Scenery is stunning. Comfortable bedding, complete towels, there’s even a few condiments in the kitchenette, and sun tan lotion. I am already planning my next visit! Thank you Jeff and Judy!!
