Vacation rentals with a patio in Opononi

Could not fault a single part of my experience at Fernbird. Private, safe and friendly atmosphere left me feeling so comfortable, especially for what was an extended stay. Hats off to Gayle for being a stand-out host 😊

The family type home is only a few hundred metres from the Russell end of the car ferry. The house is easy to find, and is very clean and tidy, nicely appointed and has everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. It felt like home the moment we arrived. It's only about a 10 minute drive into Russell itself, which has shopping, groceries, lovely restaurants and cafes, and tourist options galore. Antje and David were great hosts - non intrusive but helpful when required.

We stayed at John and Aynsley's place the last days of our holiday and that turned out to be a perfect decision. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. For example, they offered to carry our bags to the apartment and gave many great tips for things to do and see. The place is very spacious and the view is great. You really feel like you're in the trees. Walking distance to the beach and shops/restaurants of Paihia. Definitely recommend staying here.

Jane's place is just lovely - it has all the necessities and a simply beautiful view. A 2 mins walk to the beach, it is just so relaxing. There's plenty to do around the area and the glowworm visit was a bonus. Highly recommended - new and spotlessly clean

Perfectly positioned with a great view of the water across to Russell. Right next to everything and literally a minute's walk to pubs, restaurants and all Paihia has to offer. The apartment is spotless and well appointed with two easy to access car spaces ...perfect for a family of four. It it easily the best accommodation in town John was easy to to communicate with and responded quickly...he even made the effort to meet us when we arrived. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

What a lovely stay! We felt so at home right away. Jordan's home is comfortable and so much fun too. We loved the decor. I cook a lot and had everything I needed. The beds are very comfortable. Great linens and towels. Nice shower. On cold days we made a fire and were cheered and warm! The view is just stunning. We enjoyed all the beautiful birds and a couple of friendly local cats walked with us in the evening. Check out the Old Packhouse Cafe and Market on the weekend! KeriKeri is close with everything you need. We did a Bay of Islands day long boat tour and it was awesome- highly recommend. The Stonehouse is definitely worth a visit and take the walk to the waterfalls! There's just so much to enjoy. The house was so great I had to remind myself to go out! Just being on that deck is a vacation. Thank you Jordan for the amazing stay!

A loaf of fresh bread and bowl of fruit on arrival! Iain and Mary go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Really convenient place to stay if you’re exploring the Hokianga and Far North.

The house was so cool! Such a good location! I felt so bad as I broke the key by accident to the garage but Leanne was so nice about it and didn’t make me feel even more worst than i felt. The beds are super comfortable. This place would be the best get away with beautiful views the beach is so beautiful ! Everything was just so perfect ! I would highly reccomend this place !
