Such a beautiful, peaceful spot. The view was amazing, and the home was so cute, and very cosy. We went for some peaceful R&R, and that’s exactly what we got. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Vanessa!

Simone's house is situated in an area between wetlands and the sea, boasting a very modern architecture. You can see the wetland scenery from every window of the house, and the garden plants add depth to the foreground. The interior is brightly colored and immaculate. The bathroom floor is as shiny as a mirror. The facilities are fully equipped. It's a great place away from the hustle and bustle!

If you’re coming to Russell, and you’re looking for quiet and convenient- this is it! Upon arrival, you realize that you just lucked into paradise. The views in every direction are postcard-worthy. The only sounds that you experience are the multitudes of birds that call these natural surroundings home. Each room is so well insulated you wonder if anyone else is actually around. While you feel as though civilization is a long way away, it’s actually only a few minutes of driving to get to the village of Russell. And finally, the hosts are a delight- that rare combination of warmly welcoming, while ready to respect your privacy and need for solitude (if you so wish). Clean, quiet, with gorgeous views- we couldn’t ask for more, and can’t wait to return.

To say that the view is impressive is an understatement. The moment you open the front door, the view over the Bay is what makes this an incredible spot to stay. The bean bags, sofas, daybed (my particular favourite for a read) picnic benches on the deck or just reclining in bed, all afford you this fabulous view. It changed every half hour or so, as you're at the centre of a natural amphitheatre you do hear all sorts of sounds from the Tui's, Bellbirds, Kiwis and cicadas, it's constant and glorious. And yes you can hear as cars go by from the ferry, but to even mention that is churlish. As we sat soaking in the view one night the sound of an anchor chain going down was quite distinct and then the puttering of an engine on a boat over half a kilometre away confirmed all was well with the world. It's just a lovely base for popping to Russell and the ferry over to Opua is regular and opens up the rest of the Bay of Islands to you.

Adelle has an amazing place. You feel so at peace sitting on the deck listening to the sea and hearing the native birds. Her place was beautifully presented with lots of thoughtful extras. Would highly recommend staying here.

Wow!!! We had a fabulous stay at Cam’s! We stayed in suite number 7 with the two bedrooms and we reckon it was the best room of them all! We had a huge outside space, privacy, hammock, dining table and mini sofa. Gorgeous views over Haruru falls! Michael (buisness partner) who checked us in couldn’t have been more helpful. Information on the history of the place, things to do, stories to tell, excursions to book etc! The accom was comfy, had lovely welcome treats in the kitchen and Cam even came to say hello with a bottle of wine. He’s also an author and we took home a children’s book each! Hosts went above and beyond and I would 100% recommend staying here. If you have a car it’s about 5mins to Piahia, 3mins to countdown, 3mins to Haruru falls and kiwi spotting, 5mins to Waitangi Treaty grounds, it’s a great spot!
