Cottage vacation rentals in Northeast Italy

We stayed at this lovely cottage in late November and we were delighted with every aspect of the stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and was well equipped. The hot-tub was wonderful and sitting there on a chilly night with a view of SG was amazing. Annalisa and Davide were really nice and friendly and very helpful- great hosts. It was about 35 minutes to walk to the town, so quite walkable, and wonderfully quiet and rural (one morning there were 3 deer walking past the window). We had a very nice day out in Sienna which was easy to drive to. I would definitely recommend this place as somewhere really special.

The cottage is immersed in nature and exactly as described: you can breathe a lot of tranquility. The outdoor hot tub was wonderful, and the owners took care to let us find the water at a perfect temperature. They were also very helpful in adapting to our needs and schedules, if there is an opportunity we will definitely come back in the future.

It was such a beautiful setting to be among the vineyards and my son loved visiting the farms birds and jumping on the trampoline. The accommodations were beautiful and the hosts were so lovely very welcoming and gave excellent recommendations about the local sites. We had their wine and their farm fresh breakfast we highly recommend it ! We had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again one day.

Sara and Brian are truly amazing hosts—proactive, kind, and fascinating to talk to. Their home is enchanting, like stepping into a real fairytale. You can feel how much love and care they’ve poured into every detail. It’s one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever stayed in! Not only is the house and the garden magical, but it’s also so practical and thoughtfully equipped, providing everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. The gym was fantastic, and the house had plenty of space for two families. Even with 2 adults and 4 “monkeys” (our energetic kids), there was room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks lighting up the entire region was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Sara and Brian, for sharing your incredible home with us. We can’t wait to return!!!

It was the most amazing Airbnb I've ever been to and I've been to many. Over my birthday, I wanted to switch off for 4-5 days and ended up with Luca and Marina. It was just fabulous. You can't summarize all things in such short lines, so here are a few keywords. Warm and constant communication, warm personal welcome, absolutely clean house, unimaginably beautiful garden with spa area, I got a private 4 course dinner, Marina baked me a cake. It was just great, too bad you can only give 5 stars

We feel lucky to have stayed at this house—the views really are just as stunning as they are in the pictures. Boža and Dušan were very welcoming and we had everything we needed to really settle in for a few nights—the kitchen, for example, was very well furnished with all sorts of practical implements for real cooking (i.e. not just a few dull knives and a single ladle rattling around in otherwise empty drawers). We really appreciated the house's easy access to Italy, Austria, and of course the rest of northwestern Slovenia—it offers a great combination of dramatic mountain views and easy road access (so no daredevil driving up and down steep and rocky rural roads every time you want to get some groceries). I'm sure the house is lovely in all seasons, but it was especially enjoyable to take a dip in the jacuzzi with an overnight frost settling in and then cozy up by the fireplace inside.

Small house with beautiful large property with lots of olive trees that provide shade. The house has everything you need and is cool even in the hot season due to an air conditioning. We felt comfortable. Thanks to Antonio and his lovely grandparents!

Lovely, peaceful setting with a view of the mountains and a convenient walking path to the village. You have ultimate privacy as the home is located at the very end of a gravel road through agricultural fields and small garden plots. House was very clean and everything worked just fine. Very convenient to the large market (groceries, general household needs...and gelato!). Two things to be aware of: There are three houses in the general area with the same address so be sure to put the entire address into your GPS. Also all sleeping areas are upstairs up a stepladder type of stairs. It's fine, but not the house for those with mobility issues. Nela is warm and welcoming and very helpful with tips to make your stay in Slovenia memorable!

It is not necessary to use redundant words to say how well we had; it is evident that in Sandra's delightful little house everything has been arranged to make the stay of guests as pleasant as possible. Cleanliness, accessories, location, parking space, tranquility of the area... and the list could continue for a long time; and then what about Sandra, a person of out-of-the-ordinary sunshine who welcomes his guests with a smile that is like a hug.... thank you very much and congratulations, we really hope to return!

Quiet place. Friendly hostess. Ideal accommodation. Surroundings suitable for sports. Close to the sea, Italy and Croatia.

Our stay was very relaxing, thanks to Cristina, who welcomed us with an open heart. Everything is fine, the little house in nature, simple and well-kept. Definitely recommend!

We stayed at the house for a week. It's a bit rural, but that didn't bother us. The house sits on a passing road and you can hear the car noises. But you definitely need a car to see the area or to get to the cities. The house has been very lovingly renovated and has a Mediterranean charm. The garden is very beautiful and suitable for families with dogs. Annamaria is very friendly and gave us tips for the area.

We love this place. It really is a home from home for us but with the addition of the most beautiful garden and view of Lake Garda. We can’t wait to return 😊

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was a little piece of heaven. The home was everything we could hope for. The place itself was a dream! Clean, spacious, tasteful and high-quality furnishings, with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The amenities left nothing to be desired – from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy bedrooms. The location in Döllach is perfect for nature lovers. We were able to set off on numerous hikes directly from the property and explore the breathtaking scenery. Communication was excellent; Valentina was always available for questions and gave us great tips on local attractions and restaurants. Overall, our stay was simply memorable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! Many thanks to Valentina, our Superhost, for the great experience!

Amazing cottage, more than what expected, Wendy is a fab host, the Cottage is super well equipped, nothing needed to be bought as was already there (dishwasher tablets, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, water and some food, slippers, …. And much more). Atmosphere is magical, just next to an amazing castle, one of the best well kept in Italy. If you are a foreigner you can feel part of a local Italian tiny village wothin minutes from your arrival :-) The village atmosphere is lovely, and the communication with Wendy was so easy and organized.

Easily one of the best airbnb's I've ever been in. You probably have to have a car to comfortably get there and explore the region, but once you get there, it's worth it. The place was once a ruin, carefully reconstructed by the hosts themselves, and you can sense that. Surrounding nature is also incredible. Totally worth a visit!
